Spring has sprung for sure, and Retro Rubber #110 is here to help us smell the pretty flowers! I'm combining this week with Hand Stamped Sentiments #314's appropriately floral sketch! I hope everyone's garden is growing! Checking over the retired shelves, I came across 2008's Inspired by Nature set - I could never let this one go because of the amazing blades of grass image that I use most - almost a background stamp! But it also has this field flowers image on the other side, and I almost never used it, so I decided to give it a go! I colored it up with markers so for a soft brush-stroke look, and then spent a quiet 10 minutes fussy cutting to my heart's content. I think it looks SO sweet over this scrap of DSP from the Botanical Butterfly DSP! Inspired by Nature Stamp Set (retired 2008); Botanical Butterfly DSP; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight & Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Markers; Gingham Gala Sequins; #RR110; #HSS314.

This was a fantastic blast from the past!!!! The coneflowers look amazing fussy cut, although that looks like it took a bit of work! I also can't believe this stamp is from 2008....11 years ago! Man, time flies!!!

Beautiful card, Heather! This is one of those sets that I had no idea what to do with as a beginner so didn't get it. Now I would love playing with it. Great job with cutting it out, too. Thank you for playing with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments and hope you join us again soon.

Love this card, you are a better person than me, I hate fussy cutting LOL. It was worth it though, as popping up the flowers has added some fun dimension to your card. Thanks for playing with us at Retro Rubber. Claire DT

This is absolutely so sweet! You're so right about the flowers looking fabulous over that scrap of DSP. It's like they were made for each other. I've never seen this set before and it looks like a great one - no wonder you still have it. I love this! Thanks for joining in with us again at Retro Rubber, Heather.
