This week's As You See It #194 has a cool "fill in the blank" challenge - "When I think simple, I think ____." Nifty! To get started, I wanted to pull a set that hasn't been out to play for a bit, and landed on High Tide - love this lighthouse. So, when I think simple, I think one-layer, with stamps, ink and paper. This set has SO many options for setting your scene, it's hard to leave much free space to be really "clean & simple" maybe, but with everything all on one layer, I DO think of it as "simple." I used plenty of colors, but they're also muted a little on my Sahara Sand base - perfect for a beach scene, lol. I think I might have sand on the brain just now - three more days til Hawaii! High Tide Stamp Set; Sahara Sand CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Merry Merlot, Garden Green, Balmy Blue & Night of Navy Inks; #AYSI194.

What a great set for a OLC! The scene you've created is a stunner and at first glance, it's hard to believe it's just one layer. I like your definition of simple and the fabulous example of it you've given us. Thanks for playing with us again at As You See It.

I love this scene stamped on Sahara Sand! It looks so authentically beachy! And one layer qualifies as simple - remember, you're filling in the blank - it's your definition! Have fun in Hawaii, Heather! I'm jealous! Thanks for sharing this with us at As You See It Challenges.
