![]() Love this play on shapes at Freshly Made Sketch #242! I really dithered a bit about what to do with this card. I knew I was changing the shape (of course!) but to what? I kept coming back to Jars of Love - today the images remind me so much of going to the county fair in summer, and winning a fish at some game, and then coming home and chasing fireflies with my sister on the lawn. Good times! We would always try to collect them in a jar at least a few times every summer - we had a special one with holes punched in the lid. You guessed it, the fireflies could always crawl out THROUGH the holes, lol. Oh well, we were always game to keep trying! Jar of Love Stamp Set; Whisper White, So Saffron & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party & Tangerine Tango Inks; Basic Black & Crushed Curry Markers; Gold & Clear Wink of Stella; Everyday Jar Framelits; Sparkle EF; 5/8" Burlap Ribbon; Banner Punch.

What a great story. And I love how your pretty card tells that story to all of us! The mason jars make great substitutes for the circles. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

This set reminds me of catching fireflies with my family back east :-)

Heather, this card is lovely and works perfectly for the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge. Your layering, with one die-cut jar behind the burlap ribbon and the other in front of it really gives the card a sense of dimension. Of course the story accompanying the card gives it a sense of summer fun.

Heather, I love your card and the memories it brings. My sister and I would catch and release fireflies; each year at our summer carnival I would try to throw ping pong balls into little goldfish jars. Never succeeded, but what fun! Thanks for sharing such a special card.
