Well, hey there, stampers! Happy, happy New Year! I'm back, with bells on! It was so refreshing to take a bit of a break, though I tried to keep up the posts for most of Christmas week, I decided it was OK to get a bit of a break, with a little New Year's Day post thrown in... It's taken me all morning to dig out my desk, and do my first pass at de-Yuling the house, sob, I'm putting the tree off for tomorrow. That said, I'm still freaked out by my empty Christmas card box, so I've decided to give a new sketch challenge a whirl - I've been watching Merry Monday for quite a while now, and I think it's a FABULOUS idea! Should have my box filled back in two shakes! So this week, I combined TWO sketches, my long-waiting Clean & Simple #273, and Merry Monday #90 (use ribbon or twine.) Fun stuff! I thought of this neat trick with the yummy silver ribbon all by myself, too, adding the twists for some extra detail. It made it so I had to double-dimensional the snowflakes, though... Can't wait to try this on a more open field, so you can really see the effect! Bet it would work great with all our 1/8" ribbons! Festive Flurry & Endless Wishes stamp sets; Whisper White, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Smoky Slate CS; Festive Flurry framelits; Snowburst embossing folder; Silver Embossing Powder; Versamark, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler inks; Silver 1/8" Ribbon; Brights Candy Dots; Season of Style washi tape.
