Celebrate Purple

I am over the moon about As You See It #206 this week - it's all about the PURPLE (yay!) AND it's a speed challenge!  Woo hoo!
So, it took me a while to choose a direction - you'd think I'd be more ready for my favorite color, lol.  Eventually, I landed on this "negative window" idea - I hardly ever use our fun Celebrate You dies, so it was good to bust them out.  I pulled all my purple pads, got myself settled, and started the clock.  I did two rounds of each color, stamping and stamping off once the "Happy Birthdays,' then quick cut my "celebrate."  I got everything mounted and threw on a few Purple Posy Faceted Dots.  Thought I was all set when I realized I still had a naked envelope - oops!  That cost me another minute, sigh, so I ended up completing this in 9 minutes - longer than I had thought it would take!
Piece of Cake Stamp Set; Blackberry Bliss DSP (on envelope); Whisper White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Highland Heather & Gorgeous Grape Inks; Celebrate You Dies; Purple Posy Faceted Dots; #AYSI206.

Great idea to use negative space. I like the repeat stamping of the Happy Birthday. They collectively kind-of look like balloons bobbing in the background - very party-like. Thanks for joining in again at As You See It. Glad you were excited for the speed challenge as I've a soft spot for it.

That negative space is almost an optical illusion. I had to see the closeup to tell that it wasn't a 3D popped up image! Maybe you can get that to go viral! lol I think it's a brilliant idea for a card! Thanks for playing along with our speed challenge at As You See It Challenges.
