This week's "speak your mind" challenge from As You See It #187 comes at an important time for me... I started this challenge looking for a set that had the right words of encouragement, for someone dear to me who is going through an exciting, enervating and confusing time. Someone who isn't hearing me, or anyone, right now, but who needs this message more than anything. I'll be keeping this card for them, saving it for that time when words and comfort, understanding and acceptance, can play their part again. Stay safe, my heart. For me. Rooted in Nature Stamp Set; Whisper White, Tranquil Tide & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry & Tranquil Tide Inks; Stitched Shapes & Nature's Roots Framelits; Rich Razzleberry Enamel Dots; AYSI187.

I'm sorry that someone near to you needs a card like this, Heather. It is lovely though. I like what you've done to the background: I think you've used the dies to emboss although possibly it's light ink. Whichever, it grounds the other elements perfectly. Thanks for joining us again at Retro Rubber Challenge.

What a thoughtful card, Heather, and I hope your friend opens up eventually to receive good advice and love! She will appreciate it for sure and those words will encourage her! I love the subtle background you created and the tree and leaves give your card "strength"! Thanks for playing with our challenge this week at As You See It!
