Good times ahead! I get to share one of my favorite techniques this week at As You See It #268! Well, I think everyone knows that my fave technique is FUSSY CUTTING! When in doubt - fussy cut! It adds so much impact to the simplest of images, and since I'm also a huge fan of all things dimensional, this is another way to add more of that, too. For today's card, I used the elegant Bamboo Beauty set, and fussy cut my graceful bamboo trunks, and a touch of leaves, too. I popped them up over some shadow-stamping I did behind them - I love the effect I got! I can't wait to see your projects, too - what's YOUR favorite technique?? So clever the way you've created a shadow behind your fussy cutting. It's so seamlessly integrated that at first I didn't see it. Great technique and one I'm going to tuck away for future reference.

Fussy cutting tends to be a little like Marmite doesn't it - either you love it or hate it! I'm with you on this one - I love it, I find it so theraputic! Fussy cutting the bamboo really makes it standout and I agree with Jan - the subtle shadow is so effective, it looks so natural. I love the peaceful feel of this card Heather and such a beautiful sentiment too!

I love anything with a bamboo theme and fussy cutting is very therapeutic for me as well! I love how you created the shadow behind the trimmed bamboo piece!
