I stayed on the yellows, with a pretty So Saffron background, and my Daffodil Delight Blends Markers to color in the big bold flower. Ahhh, sunny days ahead!  Ah ha, there's still time to get in some Christmas design, over at this week's CAS on Friday #220 - yay! I pulled out my little festive hedgehog, from Joyful Life, for today's card. I don't know, something about that little apron just gets to me, lol. I tried to stick to the CAS brief, but added some dimension to jazz it up a little, and of course, a little sprinkle of Wonderful Gems. This little cutie is so easy to color with our Blends Markers! Joyful Life & For Unto Us Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Cherry Cobbler & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Cherry Cobbler, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Wonderful Gems; #CASOF220.   I'm back at Festive Friday #99 with another inspo list - this time inspired by New Year's Eve! So many fun elements to choose from - I wanted to pull something together that celebrates the spirit of New Year's, without actually saying so, lol. I think I managed it! I was quickly caught by this "best year yet" sentiment from our Best Year set, and I haven't used the Best Plaid Builder dies that go with it in forever! From the list, I chose sparkle, rhinestones, black and diecuts, and let that guide my plaid. Heck, I even threw in some pink, lol. Very fun! Oo, In{k}spire Me #465 is back with a new set of colors for Christmas! These colors look a lot to me like they came from the Whimsy & Wonder suite - alas, I let this one slip by, lol. But what else could I do with the colors? I decided to go for a Whimsy version of our Christmas Season set, lol. I started with a nice block of Misty Moonlight DSP from the Penguin Playmates DSP, then built some sprigs and berries with the remaining colors. I was able to achieve two tines of the Mint Macaron with some strategic stamping off and layering. I tucked everything behind this sweet sentiment, and finished with some pretty pearls. Whew! These were hard colors for me! They look perfect on the largest Tailor Made Tag, and I did the little coordinating tab for each of them, too. I added the To/From that came with Bright Baubles, and finish with White Baker's Twine. Today's gem is 2014's Skinny Mini Alphabet - I love this font so much, and it's the perfect size for these tiny tags! I floated a layered wreath behind it using the retired wreath builder dies - I really like how this came out! Now that my Christmas cards are all mailed, this is a pretty kickoff to restocking the box, lol. In{k}spire Me #464 has launched their Christmas celebrations with these lovely traditional colors! I can't help seeing these colors through my SU! goggles, lol, so I went with Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Real Red & Old Olive. At the last second, I tossed in some Mossy Meadow for a little green variation! I went straight to last year's Peace & Joy set, too, because I knew I could boost my color count with the gorgeous layered sentiment dies that go with it - what's not to love?? I did the full three layers today (let's not talk about dotting the "i" - it was a not a merry business, lol) and surrounded it all with the pretty greenery also in the set. I couldn't resist a few bright stars to finish. This is so classic, I think - and playful! I decided to focus on the pine cone corner - I am determined to master the two-step pine cones we have in our Christmas Season set! I also still had plenty of this pine cone sheet in my beloved Painted Christmas DSP pack, too - so pretty to feature today! I'm really happy with how my stamped cones came out - I finally figured out: make the detail stamp the darker color, and stamp that one FIRST, then finish with your lighter color, so you can see to line everything up just right! Time Out Challenges #202 has this cozy scene to inspire us this week! So, this didn't come out nearly as dramatic as I had hoped, or maybe it just doesn't photograph so well - this one was a super heat-emboss exercise for me, lol. My eyes went straight to that pretty pillow in the picture, and this is my homage to that! To make sure it all fit correctly, I stamped it all on there one letter at a time, starting from the bottom right corner, going backwards, lol. I can't tell you how many la's I counted out on my fingers! I finished with some tiny embellies and called it good - off to deck our halls some more here!
