Bitty Buttons

Oo, this is a fun one - Shopping Our Stash #483 is having a buttons and bows challenge!
I actually do have an old bin of buttons to dig through for this one. I have so many pretty colors - but they're all kind of bulky for a card front. With that thought in mind, I finally settled on my little container of Bitty Buttons - no idea how old these are! But they're tiny and flat, all clear in several cute shapes. I thought they might look sparkly over our Snowflake Specialty Vellum, with tiny silver bows! Hopefully you can see them, lol...

Such a pretty book cover at this month's Once Upon a Time #4!
I actually don't know this book, but what a gorgeous cover! I tried to design a card inspired by the lovely colors and design elements, and, of course, an apt "dream" sentiment! I had just the thing in the Begin With a Dream set, over a few details I thought I could come close to. I actually really like the result - I don't do much in this style, so I felt pretty unsure of where I was headed, lol. Whew!

Such a fun theme we have this round at As You See It #288 - vacation activities!
This one was a bit of a tough one for me - we have so many favorite things to do, lol. After some thought, though, I realized what we like the BEST is just travel itself - we really like to go see stuff! Road trips, catching a plane, trains, boats - we just love it all! And we might like taking a load off once we get there, lol. Folks that work hard have to play and loaf equally hard, I always say!

Whew, I'm so glad NBUS #44 has rolled over again - I have a couple new toys that need some ink!
It's pretty rare for me to stray from my Mother Ship, as readers know - but one thing I can't resist is really good scripture sets! Trust me, I buy all the ones Stampin' Up makes, hoping they get the hint to produce more, lol. A friend turned me on to this company, Stamp Simply, and I was smitten! Today's sentiment is from their Autumn Blessings set, and I love it! Corinthians always reminds us of everything we need to know!

Wow, check out THESE cookies, lol! If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #174 found this crazy monster truck for our cue this month!
So somehow or other I must have let go of my Pedal to the Metal stamp set - it would have been great for this challenge! I do have an assortment of OTHER trucks, though, lol. I dug out 2020's Ride With Me, and gave it a street-worthy flame job instead! I even built it a little off-road scene with Oceanfront, but I think it might need bigger tires for those rocks, lol...

Such a pretty sketch we have this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #583! It's perfect to pair with our colors at Hand Stamped Sentiments #402!
I wanted to see if I could make these colors into NOT a Christmas card today - I know, perverse, right?? I hit on another arrangement with Splendid Thoughts, and just a few touches of Cherry Cobbler. Splendid Thoughts is turning in to on of my favorite sets! I found a little bit of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, and a few old Paper Pumpkin Cherry Dots, too - it's all in the details, lol.

Such a cute combo at this round's In{k}spire Me #490! Love these colors!
I knew right away I wanted to do a Christmas card with these colors, especially after I realized I could use Christmas Season's pinecones to cover the two browns - yes! I had some fun stamping and cutting a few pretty elements, and I'm thrilled with how it all came out. The pink is so cute with the green! Who knew??

We're all lined up this round at Sunday Stamps #296!
For my three shapes, I decided to three pretty plants in fancy pots, all in a row, lol. It's been too long since Plentiful Plants has been out to play! I started with some cheery pot colors, and then selected my greens for the different plants - so much fun to mix and match! I floated everything over this elegant neutral sheet from our Sun Prints pack, and added my sentiment down below. Today you get a little sneak peek at the Gold Swirl embellies that are on a special release with our Fitting Florets suite that's on pre-order right now - love them!

Well this will be something new for me - The Male Room #168 would like to see a pop-up element this month!
I decided to play with Whiskey Business today - I can't help but think of this as a pretty manly set, even though I know plenty of whiskey-drinking ladies, too, lol. First up, I designed the card front with a couple of drinks, and this tongue-in-cheek sentiment to go with. I'm really happy with the coloring today! Then I made up this simple inside of the decanter standing up when you open the card - it came out pretty cool! I've actually never done one of these before - gluing in a little folded strip for the bottle was a snap! Fun times!

Oo, good one! Cardz 4 Guyz #303 would like us to feature poppies and/or remembrance this round!
I actually still have a fair amount of our old Peaceful Poppies DSP tucked away, so I grabbed that to get started. I settled on this sheet of big bold blossoms, and then decided to pull in For Your Country to complete the brief. I think the additional of the military details takes this in a guy direction. Anyway, I heat embossed my soldier in black so he would stand out against that bold background, and featured this famous JFK quote to finish things off. Love it!
