TAB - you're it, at our sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #470!  We have an optional theme, too, of texture!
I stewed about this one for a WHILE, lol, until I finally realized that the dimensions seemed JUST about right for a little stable scene from Peaceful Nativity!  Yes!  This also gave me a chance to break in my new For Unto Us sentiment set - love these ones SO much more than the ones in the nativity, for some reason.  There was one small enough to put on a little tab, just right!  I kept things fairly straight-forward, and snuck in a little texture for my background - I think it came out sweet!
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our sketch this week - meet you at the challenge!
Peaceful Nativity & For Unto Us Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Crumb Cake & Seaside Spray CS; Champagne Foil; Memento Tuxedo Back Ink; Seaside Spray, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Just Jade, Rich Razzleberry & Ivory Blends Markers; Pinewood Planks EF; Nativity Dies; Note Tag Punch (retired); #TSOT470.

Summer Flowers

So pretty - Less Is More #425 is back this week with a "summer flowers" challenge!
I have to admit, I've really been avoiding a lot of the new flower sets these days - which is a major shift for me!  I have so many pretties already, it really takes something new and exciting to draw me in, lol.  I did get Grace's Garden last year, though, and it was nice to see it carry over - that little garden gate is the cutest!  I actually haven't used it in a while, so it was perfect for this challenge - so fun to build a little scene and color it in!  I kept things pretty spare for LIM, but couldn't resist adding these tiny pearls - you can never have too much purple!
Grace's Garden Stamp Set; Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, So Saffron & Rich Razzleberry Blends Markers; Stitched So sweetly Dies; Purple Pearls; #LIM425.

Menagerie Mix-Up

I am definitely loving our breezy blues and purples this week at Sunday Stamps #237!
I decided to try something really off-grid for them, too, lol.  It didn't take me too long to finally cave in and get the Menagerie Mix-Up bundle.  My take on this super-cutie is that it's HIGHLY unlikely I could ever use it in class, but DANG it's cuteness overload!  I have to also mention how brilliant the set design is - all the pieces can be stamped, colored and cut separately for super easy assembly, making it MUCH less fussy than I feared.  I was also floored to realize that SU! printed a little map of all the die pieces on the card insert - GENIUS!  You can see right where to put everything back, AND if you're missing anything, at a glance!
So here's my critters in their winter whites, with just a touch of our soft colors for highlights - adorable!  I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our pretty colors!  Meet you at the challenge!
Menagerie Mix-Up & Banner Year Stamp Sets; Playing With Patterns DSP; Whisper White, Misty Moonlight & Seaside Spray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Inks; Shimmer White EP; Seaside Spray, Purple Posy & Mint Macaron Blends Markers; Menagerie Dies; Banners Pick A Punch; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #SSC237.

Frost Dove

Oh wow, this sketch is a bit of a mind-bender this week at As You See It #231!  Nifty!
Well, I wanted to go back to my Dove of Hope set, so let's see if I can make this work!  I really love this set with the Feels Like Frost DSP, going for the Purple Posy this time!  I decided to try for a wider sentiment, too, and I HAD to put one of the smaller stamped doves on here as well.  I dusted him up a little with some Wink of Stella, for a little shimmer, and tried to keep the details pretty cool.  This ended up being much more straight-forward than I thought it would be - yay for that!
Dove of Hope Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP; Purple Posy, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White CS; Purple Posy, Blackberry Bliss & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam & So Saffron Blends Markers; Clear Wink of Stella; Jumbo Rhinestones; #AYSI231.

Dancing Goat

Oh my gosh, I really started cracking up when I saw today's Time Out Challenge #167 - what a fun idea for a card prompt!
I went on the hunt for a "dancing" image, and finally landed on my Way to Goat set - check out this capering guy!  Not sure what I was thinking, but for some reason I wanted my goat to be blue today (??) so out came my Balmy Blue Blends, which I don't seem to use much anyway, lol.  Then I found this sentiment from Many Mates, and it seemed just right for the theme, somehow.   I do admit, this one is weird, even for me!!

A Little Smile (& Christmas Cards Part 1 Aug 15!)

Ooo, another tic-tac-toe at this week's Retro Rubber #140!  Yay!
So, choosing my line today was all about staying away from that washi tape in the corner, lol.  I finally settled on the center column:  blue - rectangles - patterned paper.  I got started by scouting out some likely DSP in blues, and stumbled across the remnants of my By the Shore DSP in the retired bin - love these water patterns so much, and I even still have the inks to go with!  Looking for something nautical, I looked  through my old Paper Pumpkins, and came across A Little Smile from June 2019 - just right!  I kept things pretty simple with layered stitched rectangles, and a sweet little sentiment - I have to remember to go back through my Pumpkins more often!

Arrange a Wreath

Ahh, In{k}spire Me #426 has another fun combo for us this week!
I quickly decided on using my new Arrange a Wreath set, and I pretty much really wanted to do a Christmas card, so no color challenge for me this week, lol.  This was pretty quick and simple, and I wanted to brighten up my colors with a Granny Apple/Poppy combo, rather than darker colors.  I love how fresh it looks!  I dressed up a stamped wreath with some berries and leaves, and even added some pom-poms - so funny!  I love how cheery this came out!

I think we're ahead of the curve this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #469!  What a great sketch to combine with our all-time current fave challenge at SU Only #255!
Sooo, since I'm supposed to do my current fave, even though it just got to come out yesterday, I have to roll out Whale Done AGAIN, because I wasn't kidding - I'm in LURVE!  Lol.  Today I finally got to try my hand at punching out and building whales from cardstock - we could actually have whales three ways with this set!!  Tons of fun, for sure, lol.  Anyway, I also featured my favorite (and last, SOB) sheet of DSP, the embossing folder, the ribbon, the sequins - it just goes on and on...
I can't wait to see what YOU create - meet you at the challenges!
Whale Done Stamp Set; Whale of a Time DSP; Pool Party, Basic Gray, Gray Granite & Whisper White CS; Basic Gray & Pretty Peacock Inks; Basic Black Marker; White Gel Pen; Seabed EF; Stitched Shapes & Smooth Sailing Dies; Whale Punch; Pool Party Sheer Ribbon; Whale of a Time Sequins; #TSOT469; #SUOC255.

Deeper Than the Ocean

I'm so loving the theme at this week's Sisterhood of Crafters - "something ocean or beachy!"  Yes!
Do I NEED any more excuses to use my new fave suite for Whale Done?  I just can't get enough of the gorgeous DSP, lol.  Today's card is pretty much all DSP - I only used a sentiment stamp, and fussy cut these beautiful turtles to go over this colorful sea floor sheet - eee!  I just love it all!  I even love the sequin pack that goes with, lol.  Take me to the ocean, please!  Salt water cures all wounds!

Today's Tiles

Very cool - we have another chance to play with our new In Colors over at Inspire Create Challenge #074 this week!
I really wanted to pull out all the inks for this one - I think what I've done so far for the new In Colors, I mostly stuck to DSP, lol.  And since I just got Today's Tiles, a 2-step set that looks SO snazzy, I decided to try that out!  I did two sets of two colors, and used the last color for the sentiment.  I even snipped apart my tile blocks and did a little mix and match, lol.  This came out so geometric!  What a fun way to play with colors!
Today's Tiles Stamp Set; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight & Cinnamon Cider Inks; 2020-22 In Color Enamel Dots; #ICC074.
