 I love this angled layer at Freshly Made Sketch #250! Looks like a great DSP feature opp to me! The paper I'm most excited about just now is my new Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP. Can you tell what my fave sheet is? Lol. The whole suite is just yummy is shape and color! I had some fun coloring in the big ornate paisley and snipping it out - oddly, there isn't a scalloped paisley shape in the thinlet set, though teh largest paisley will fit around it. But I'm always game for a bit of fussy cutting, lol!  OK, Try Stampin' on Tuesday #284 wants us to "try" a torn edge on our cards - fun! I can't wait to combine it with all the pretty blues at Sunday Stamps #133's color challenge! In addition to our torn edge, I decided this sketch was also an invite to trot out all my weird chunky scraps, and see what happened. So mostly what happened was that I LOVE my card! Very fun, very quick, very random, with just a touch of sparkle! And I'm totally smitten with the colors, too! These angled stripes always make me think of Prince Charming, lol... Let's shake that off by adding these bright colors from Can You Case It #133! You know, there's a paper in the Affectionately Yours DSP pack that has yellow and green on Crumb Cake - that would be perfect! I dressed it up with some lovely coordinating flourishes, and added a sentiment for my dear friend Carol, who needs a boost. What a good time I had making this card - I can't wait to send it to her! What about the DSP being all one color, but all different patterns? Why not? I still can't get enough of my beautiful Thoughtful Branches Tree, and of course, I'm still smitten with the droll little sayings in Here For You - ahh, a perfect combo... I even stacked up the companion sentiment to this one on the inside! I couldn't help it - these colors made me think of root beer floats and ice cream. Lucky for me, I have a stamp set for that, lol! I really am smitten with all the different combos of drinks and twists I can put together with this one - yum!  Here's a lovely landscape layout from Freshly Made Sketches #249! Yay - a chance to use another new set! I went straight for Glamper Greetings, and had a lovely time watercoloring it in to go with its beach-y background, lol. I don't really know why I threw the pumpkin in there, the window just looked so empty, lol... A real snap to snip out, too! Totally had to get my Hobbit on! I pretty much just stuck closely to the sketch, and picked out papers and shapes that caught my eye today. And of course, any combination of purple and green is guaranteed to do that! I just wanted purple eyeballs, lol, and yes, they're pretty much the reason I even got this set - SO GROSS! EWWW! I LOVE THEM!! I know it's only August, but hey, the eyeballs were giving me the Hairy Eyeball as soon as they came out of the box, lol...
