Yummy Little Tags

Hm, I think I might have to dig deep for this week's Global Design Project #87 - their theme is cooking, baking or making, and I'm not sure what I have! I think I might be able to match it up with Stamp Ink Paper #99's packaging challenge, too, though - let's see what happens!
I decided this was a great chance to revive my retired Yummy Little Christmas set - I didn't have enough time to do too much with it last holiday catty, and I've hung onto it since kitchen gifts are pretty big in my neighborhood. I've come up with a little Glassine Gift Bag of 4 tags - all different, all fun, and all YUMMY! Lol. I played with my fave retired Christmas DSP as well, love these colors together! Keeping this short - the supply list is huge!

Exciting day today - we get to play with Merry Monday #248, which features one of their rare and funky color Challenges! I'm using this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #322 to show me the way, too!
My usual instinct in fun Christmas colors is to go with ornaments - I so love doing that! Today, though, I've actually already moved my retiring sets to the Room of Retirement after my last regular May class. Much more limited choices now! Then I spotted my Santa's Sleigh, which has an array of presents and bows - perfect! I had a fun and fussy time piecing this all together, and pulling in a couple new In Colors - good times!

I'm so excited about the new "navy patterns" challenge from Fusion Card Challenge this week!
I think one of my fave new suites from the pre-order is the elegantly simple Lovely Inside & Out - those word thinlits are amazing! I kept today's rendition a play in Night of Navy - I can totally see me giving this to hubby for good behavior, lol. I was so relieved that I could make my own "DSP" with one of the pattern stamps, too - yay all around!

We have a beautiful layout this week from Case This Sketch #221! I'm combining the sketch with this week's theme from TGIF #107 - sympathy or get well - great idea!
I suspect I went a little bit overboard today, but I REALLY wanted to play with our new In Colors - every other year or so, it seems like they could all actually go well TOGETHER, and this seems like one of those years to me, lol. I also got to play with the new ribbon a tiny bit, too - it's awesome! Soft enough to tie and use on a card, enough body to stand up on its own - perfect! A little eclectic, but a fun color day!

Big celebration at In{k}spire Me #300 this week! 300 is a BIG number - woo! This sketch is meant to be "300" in Roman Numerals - "CCC." So clever! I think it will be fun to work in these bright colors from Paper Players #344, too!
I decided today to just barely dip my toe in an extensive new suite from the new catty, Colorful Seasons. I focused on one tiny element of the set, the leaf shapes, but this is such a comprehensive collection: stamp set, thinlits, papers, embellies - I think we'll be doing a feature class on just this! I started small today, so I don't get "design intimidation" later, lol.

I love the wide open space on this week's Match the Sketch #176 - plenty of playroom! I'm going to add in Less Is More #328's spots and/or stripes challenge, too - maybe I can crack the LIM code eventually!
So, I really wanted to preview another new stamp set today, and our super-cute Crafting Forever had a shape that I thought could fit for my sort of deconstructed version of the sketch. Here's my thinking: kind of blocky on one side, and a long vertical on the other - does that make any sense? Sorry, still working on achieving the "clean and simple" aesthetic, lol... Maybe I've swung too far the other way now, lol... At least the attempts are still fun!

Still Secret Garden

I'm so happy with Retro Rubber # 62's Spring Flowers challenge! And I think SUO #174's watercolor theme is the perfect go-with - I love to watercolor my flowers! And I'm tossing in Just Add Ink #359, which also has a flower inspiration this week!
A quick browse of the retired shelves has me pulling out our old 2013 Secret Garden set - mostly because there's framelits that go with, lol! So this is a pretty simple "flower" card, hopefully in fresh Spring colors! I was psyched to try out a couple new In Colors as well - Powder Pink and Berry Burst have made their debut!

Another pretty sketch from Global Design Project #86! Won't it look cute with Merry Monday' #247's silhouette challenge!
Thinking about the "non-black silhouette" rule, I immediately thought of pulling out my Jingle All the Way bundle - I didn't really do this set justice when it was still current, lol, so it's a relief whenever I get to put it in play now! I stacked up some of the edgelit cuts in different colors, and used a punch to make a larger moon that comes in the set - simple and quick!

So excited to finally be able to play at What Will You Stamp #115 - Beautiful You again! I haven't had the sets they've featured for quite some time, lol, but I'm back on board finally! I'm pairing it with this fun sketch from Paper Craft Crew #243!
I haven't dipped in to my awesome Serene Scenery DSP stack in a while, and I feel like so many of these papers are a great background for the lovely ladies of Beautiful You. For this one I chose a lovely swirly sky to go with the umbrella, and to make an elegant encouragement card - love the simplicity! So glad this set made the transition to the new catty - we have many dates ahead of us, lol...

It's that fabulous time again - Fab Friday #112 is all about the color! I think these will look pretty tasty paired with Paper Players #343's "sweet treats" theme, too, lol. At the last second, I'm throwing in Freshly Made Sketch #287, too - shhh... My name is Heather and I'm a sketch-a-holic, lol... We know this already, right??
So, these colors screamed popsicles to me - anyone else?? I also was pretty jazzed to do this card on Very Vanilla, since we now have a heavy stock in vanilla just perfect for card bases, like we added a while back for regular white - score!! Popsicles over vanilla - what's better than that?? Getting to SAMJ the heck outta your sentiment, that's what! I really needed to sneak in Suite Sentiments before it goes away, sob...
