Time for more Circles at My Pumpkin Challenge #0314 - Circles & Bags! I decided to go for another card - back to bags next week!
I REALLY love this color combo, of Bermuda Bay, Baked Brown Sugar and Summer Starfruit - surprisingly cheery!  So quick to put together, too, with all the pieces that come in this kit - add some color flashes, and you're all set!  That's what the Pumpkin is all about!
Hope you can link up with us this week - can't wait to see what you've come up with!
Paper Pumpkin - In The Bag; plus, Houndstooth Embossing Folder; Summer Starfruit Ink.

And don't forget - there's still time to RSVP for our March 20 Topiary Class!  6:30 pm, $25, all supplies ready and waiting for you - just bring your hot glue gun!
Come have fun, curling spiral flowers with your favorite friends - we'll have a great time, I promise - with snacks and drinks!
Also, if you'd prefer a day class, please do let me know - I have had a few nibbles on that, so sing out so you can get your preferred day!

In{k}spired Gumption

Hm, looks like this is going to be another week that I get to marry up some challenges!  My first one will be the union of In{k}Spire Me #138 and Fab Friday #37!  This one seemed like a good match, with a color for every sketch element, lol...
So, it's a good thing Fab Friday reminded me to take license with the sketch - 'cause I took out a whole division!  I decided that their sketch showed me two pairs divided by a longer element, because of course I had to try to NOT use my beloved Word Bubbles!  Since I needed a good and manly grad card, I headed in this direction...  Mortar Boards for everyone!
Pure Gumption Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar & Island Indigo CS & Inks; Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.

Fresh For The Birds

Whew - we just got back from Zion National Park for our Spring Break, and it looks like I have JUST enough time to slip into this week's Freshly Made Sketch #127!  So what can I come up with in the hour I have??
So, I wanted something different to put in my Banners Framelits - what about my little birdies?  They can be bright and cheery, too!  And I get to color - woo hoo!  So, they might be a bit too bright for this subdued tree branch, but that's how Spring goes sometimes, right?
For The Birds, Bright Blossoms & Take Care Stamp Sets; Soft Suede, Pistachio Pudding & Whisper White CS; Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point & Tangerine Tango Inks; Basic Jewel Rhinestones.

Simple Carbs...

...as opposed to complex carbs, get it?  Geez, I crack myself up sometimes...
ANYWAY, I loved the possibilities for this week's Clean & Simple #283!  I almost wish I had saved that Dahlia I used last week for this card, though, lol...
Fortunately, I have Starburst Sayings standing by!  I knew I wanted to pair it with a cute DSP, and an additional one-liner, and well, I always need more birthday cards!  I have never used this stamp from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set, I thing this DSP, even though it's now retired, is just perfect for it!  And of course, it lets me have a punny blog post title, snort...
I started to go really crazy with the rhinestones, but then decided I was straying too far from the Clean & Simple mantra, so I took this "less is more" approach - whew!  Your eyes should thank me!
Starburst Sayings & Yippee-Skippee Stamp Sets; Patio Party DSP (retired); Whisper White Primrose & Petals CS; Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse & Summer Starfruit Inks; Starburst Framelits; Basic Jewel Rhinestones & Jumbo Rhinestones.

Merry Trees

Hmmm, yummy color challenge at this week's Merry Monday #99!  Definitely puts me in the festive mood!
I decided to do a bit of stash digging for this one - I wanted something patterned in our chocolate chip, and I don't seem to have any current papers for that color - GASP!  Greens and browns together made me think woodlands, and of course, every Stampin' Stamper knows what THAT means!  Lovely As A Tree strikes again!  This turned out to be a happy blend of old and new - just right!
Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set; To The Nines (retired) & Champagne Glimmer Specialty DSP; Very Vanilla & Old Olive CS; Chocolate Chip & Old OliveCraft & Classic Inks; Clear Embossing Powder; Expressions Thinlets; Ovals Collection Framelits; Distressing Tool; Gold Sequin Trim.

Topiary Class

Wow, I have had a TON of fun putting together the sample for our March class - a small tabletop topiary made using our new Spiral Flower Die!
I've been seeing a few versions around that I really liked - I tried to incorporate my favorite elements from all of them - like touches of tulle, jumbo pearls, lacy bows - dreamy!
I will be prepping like a mad-woman for you all again - see how I love you?!  I promise that the project is totally doable in our time-frame, you know how I like us to be relaxed and snacking!

Picture
Now, I left my sample white (Wedding Present!) but YOU will be able to color yours whatever color you want, with a color mister, or even a Smooch Spritzer, if you like - here's a little pink flower I tinted for you so you can get the idea...  Quick and easy!  You could even do multiple colors - I have some really sweet sample pictures of what that could look like...

All you will need for class is a hot glue gun, and a bone folder if you have one!  All other supplies provided - $25.  So, RSVP now for Thursday, March 20, 630 pm, chez Heroldt!  As always, snacks, drinks and merriment will abound!  Those that would prefer a day class, just let me know, and I will set one up that works for you!

Picture
PS.  While I was at it, I totally couldn't resist trying out this idea I also saw for using the spiral to make pine cones, too - how adorable is this?  I totally see these in our holiday future, lol...
Like how I added a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it look all snow-kissed?  Yes, I AM wearing glitter today, lol!

I hope you've had a chance to check out this week's sketch at Paper Craft Crew #84 - it's a fun one, for sure!
For myself, I went chevron-crazy, lol - I wanted lots of color in my DSP, and then I just started seeing chevron everywhere!
My sentiment, from cute and quick Hip Notes stamp set, was just the right size for the word bubble I chose, if I masked off just a tiny bit!
Hip Notes Stamp Set; Watercolor Wonder DSP; Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango & Gumball Green CS; Island Indigo Ink; Word Bubbles & Banners Framelits; Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die; Chevron Embossing Folder; 1/4" Tangerine Tango Satin Ribbon; Basic Metal Buttons; Regals Candy Dots in Island Indigo; Indigo Perle.

Pumpkin Easel Flower

I don't know what got into me for my Pumpkin Card this week, but when I started thinking about our My Pumpkin Challenge #0314 - Circles & Bags, I just got totally fixated on wanting to do an easel card, lol...
THEN, I couldn't decide what color to do!  But of course, when you're making a Paper Pumpkin project, and stuck for color, of COURSE you go for Pumpkin Pie, right??
So, this ended up being a fairly simple card, with a fairly plain inside, so I can leave room for a note to my dear friend Laura.  Hopefully this will brighten her day!
Tip:  To achieve a closer circle match, I traced around the same framelit I used to cut the center in pencil.  I used the distressing tool to cover up snip lines after I hand-cut!  Card fits perfectly in our 5 1/2" Square Envelopes...
Paper Pumpkin - Hey There & In The Bag Stamp Sets; Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, So Saffron & Whisper White CS; Pumpkin Pie, Versamark & Early Espresso Inks; Circles Collection Framelits; Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder; 7/8" Scallop Circle, & Itty Bitty Punches; Brights & Neutrals Candy Dots in Pumpkin Pie & Early Espresso.

This week's Clean & Simple #282 has some AWESOME samples submitted!  Have you seen?
I decided to go sunny and happy today - phooey on cloudy weather!  And there's nothing cloudy about the awesome big dahlia in this image - love it!  Had fun riffling through my DSP stash looking for cherry yellow scraps to use, too, more than enough to chase the blues away!  This is Clean & Simple at its most elegant!
Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set; This & That Epic Day, Quatrefancy Specialty & Eastern Elegance DSP; So Saffron & Crushed Curry Inks; Corner Rounder Punch; Regal Candy Dots in Crushed Curry.

Simply Sketched Nacho

Doesn't this week's Nacho Average Challenge #79 look like a southwestern sunset?  I think so!
I therefore decided to do a 180 from that color scheme - cool blues and greens are in order!  I have so loved the patterns in the Venetian Romance DSP, and the colors, yet I haven't found much occasion to use it, sigh...  Lucky it pairs so well with this stamp set - I love how organic it comes out, a nice touch for a simple sympathy card, hopefully...
Simply Sketched Stamp Set; Venetian Romance DSP; Very Vanilla, Soft Suede & Pistachio Pudding CS; Soft Suede, Pistachio Pudding & Tangerine Tango Inks; 2" & 2 1/4" Circle Punches; Basic Jewel Pearls.
