Oo, I love sketches that have repeated images, like this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #309! I think I'll add in SUO #168's Sale-A-Bration challenge, too - fun!
You know what I need today? Some chicken therapy! Lucky for me, Hey, Chick is on hand to provide it, lol. There's really nothing more relaxing than coloring up a bunch of cluckers in show colors - I'd love to see these running around my back yard! I chose my palette by just going with all the coordinating colors for Serene Scenery DSP - worked like a charm!

Brrr! This week's Merry Monday #235 is just for snowmen! Hard to get in the spirit now it's finally warming up here in AZ, lol... And I THINK I have a plan for adding in these colors from Stamp Ink Paper #86, too!
So you know I had to run right to my trusty Snow Place for a snowman, lol. So many ways to dress these guys up! I'm also very proud that I finally used all the proper framelits for all his little accessories as well - I CAN be taught! Lol. He does look especially dapper that way, I think... Some colorful sparkly snowflakes completed my scene - just how we do it here in the desert!

Woo hoo! It's another FABulous day with our yummy colors at Fab Friday #106! I'm excited to combine it with this fun sketch at Global Design Project #74, too!
With such a fun color combo, I knew I needed to throw a balloon party! It's been too long! - I had fun making my own background sheet, and then piecing together my balloon banner to go with - sherbet for everyone! I can't wait to see what YOUR ideas for these colors are over at the challenge - bring it!

Today I'm combining this fun sketch from Sunday Stamps #146, and the colors from Paper Players #331 - cute combo!
So, guess what my two favorite words are?? "Any Shape!" Lol, seriously, it's like I've been given a mission to find the weirdest shape ever, every time! So today's any shape is an elephant - I can't even remember the lats time I used Playful Pals! I originally thought he would be perfect to combine the colors, but then I ended up doing him in all Smoky Slate - go figure. Fortunately, I did some other details in Blushing Bride, and only cheated a tiny bit by using Copper Thread behind him - it just had to be, lol.

Light Up My Life

OK, sketch junkie that I am, I have found a new-to-me sketch challenge that posts on Saturdays (anyone else missing Retro Sketches, too??) So excited to play for the first time at Sketch Saturday #450! Woo! And no more Saturday gap - whew!
I decided to squeeze in one more Valentine's card - this one is for my dear friend Laura, who also turns 94 on Friday! She's a Valentine's baby, lol. Knowing her has been such a gift and joy to my life - I'm so grateful for her! We can't manage grocery shopping anymore, but I still visit - and our chats are still filled with shared laughter! She truly does "light up my life," and I'm so glad to tell her so!

Love this "cornered" sketch at TGIF #94! I'm combining it with the lovely sunset colors from As You See It #143 - I haven't played there in forever! So glad to see them back at it again!
So the rounded panel on the sketch got me to thinking about circles, so when I started browsing stamp sets to play with, Places You'll Go kind of leapt out at me! I really don't play with this set enough... Anyway, I got to thinking, hey, I could color that globe image pretty funky for the color challenge and see where we land after that. So that's what I did! A pretty plain rendition of the sketch, but I like how unexpected the colors are...

What a fun layout at this week's Case This Sketch #208! I'm going to try for these colors at In{k}spire Me #287, too - I'm a little nervous!
I think the hardest part of today's challenge is finding something interesting in Blushing Bride, lol. Fortunately, I still have some of LAST year's Sale-A-Bration DSP, Perfectly Artistic - perfect! I decided I like the images in Flourishing Phrases to go with, and presto, I ended up with a sympathy card. I'm so happy with it - elegant but simple - a great one to have on hand, which I almost NEVER do...

I'm really enjoying the bright colors at this week's Color Throwdown #429! Now, can I use them successfully in Paper Craft Crew #230's Love theme?? We'll see! I'm also using the layout at Match the Sketch #163 - just because!
OK, a new stampin' order arrived this week, and I just couldn't wait any longer to ink up Everyday Hero! I'm thinking of this one for my teen daughter's Valentine - she loves bright colors and corny superheros, so this might just do the trick, lol! I really had to dig deep to get papers together in the right colors, but I LOVE the final result!

Check out those cute little flags peeking out from behind the focal panel at Freshly Made Sketch #274! Love it! I'll be adding these colors from Create With Connie & Mary #444!
When I saw the main panel in the sketch, I decided I wanted to do some tie-dyeing, stampin' style! It was pretty funny to be working this out - my old high school colors were a blue and orange very similar to this, lol. Going with t-shirt elements to finish seemed like the natural next step. I like the finished card in these colors - really good for a guy encouragement card, I think, but I could totally see this in other color schemes, too - I have to try that, maybe make a set, lol!

Another super cute sketch from this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #308! I'm combining it with this bright color challenge from Global Design Project #73!
I decided that today I wanted to play with my Inside the Lines DSP, a paper designed for coloring available in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. What would it be like to color with markers? I built up all my pieces for the sketch from various DSP scraps, and then got down to the coloring. I chose this pattern because I thought I could see all three challenge colors in it - bumblebee, flowers, leaves. Yay, coloring! BUT, well, I'm sorry to say I'm not totally in love with my final results, lol. It's ok, it just doesn't grab me, I guess. But this is my warts-and-all personal blog, so you still get to see it. What would you have tweaked?
