 Yay! Shopping Our Stash #558 is called "hey, ghoulfriend!" and it's for Halloween! I pulled out all kinds of retired goodies for this one, lol - so fun! I decided to go with Cookie-Cutter Halloween from 2016 for my main image, but then with no sentiment, I pulled out my old Merry Everything set from 2014! This fanged Pumpkin Pie tag seemed perfect with my little vampire, lol. I floated everything over a Halloween plaid from Plaid Tidings - this DSP pack is lasting me forever, and saving my bacon so many ways! I even pieced little Dracul's vest from this, very snazzy and colored in some details with a Pumpkin Pie Blend Marker. I wound on some Black Baker's Twine, and threw on some Monster Bash Enamel Shapes just for good measure!  Oh, here's a cute one! The Male Room #203 is for a BABY boy! I don't have TOO many baby sets, and I have to admit, critter ones are among my favorites, lol. Like this one - I went back to the vault and pulled Bear Hugs to make a quick and cute little bear cub card! Yes, I made my background Pool Party blue, and just for fun I used the DE-boss side with my retired Timber EF. I had two scraps remaining of my favorite retired Pool Party DSP in the folder, too, so I added a little Pool Party plaid detail, lol. Next up came my little bear cub, in my favorite way to stamp him - in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake, then smudged with a Blender Pen - gives him a rumply look! A few Crumb Cake Enamel Dots finish it off! Here it is - our last Christmas Card class of the year - except maybe Pumpkin Clubs, lol - there was just too much to celebrate! I pulled the lovely speckled sheets for Timid Tiger, Secret Sea and Cloud Cover (such a brilliant combo!) and added a bright splash of Pumpkin Pie with the little banner! Stamping the Secret Sea directly on the Timid Tiger DSP was so easy, and came out perfectly! A few more Secret Sea details finish things off! I think Secret Sea might be the new Black for me, lol. We have such a fun sketch for you this round at As You See It #356! This struck me as a great sketch for showing off some sweet new DSP, even if only a little, lol. One of the sheets in the GORGEOUS Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP that most catches my eye is this one with all the evergreen elements floating over a background of Secret Sea - so striking! I snipped my three little strips to float over a panel of Old Olive, which I dressed up with some "pine-flakes" in Versamark - I love the watermark look for a softer feel! I did up a cute Tailored Tag for my sentiment, and dug out my LAST three Frosted Finishes embellies to add some sparkle. I think this came out very elegant! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our banded sketch - meet you at the challenge! I'm having an extra focus on Christmas this year! Instead of a Fall/Thanksgiving class (we'll hit that in our next Pumpkin Club!) I'm adding an extra Christmas card class so I have room to cover the many gorgeous and amazing Holiday offerings we have this year! Christmas Cards Part 2 will feature 6 cards with envelopes, all from the newly launched Holiday Mini Catalog, or the latest Online Exclusives! Our latest speed challenge at As You See It #355 is LEAVES! This was a tough one - I spotted one of my all-time favorite leaf sets while doing some straitening - Falling For Leaves from 2018. This one is so fun to color! But no time for that in a speed challenge - how about heat embossing OVER colors, if I get everything laid out and ready to go?? I'm game! I set out everything - 3 pieces of colored CS for the leaves, the background for the sentiment, the envelope for some decor. Opened the Versamark and the Early Espresso, then the bin of Gold EP and set the heat gun by it. Laid out the gold sequins and the pop dots. Leaf die waiting on the cutting machine. Fingers crossed, I started the clock! It all went off without a hitch, except for a brief pause to plug the heat gun back in after the puppy woke up and yanked it out of the wall - that totally doesn't count! I almost choked when I realized I would have to trim off some excess leaves, and also shorten the Cajun stem (argh!) But it all worked out - 8 minutes, 39 seconds! Yes! I can't wait to see YOUR speedy creations - meet you at the challenge! Another of my favorite classes of the year! The set has a little dachshund, AND a llama, along with a striped insert to use as an even longer neck or dog body, lol. How could I resist?? I tried out the dog first, and made this funky double-z fold! I had to get a little creative on the second "Z" so I could make the dog line up pretty good even when flat, lol. What a riot! Can't wait to try the llama! It turns out that the weekend we would normally have Pumpkin Club is the same weekend we're headed back to Kanosh Labs to pick up our second puppy, River! We're all super excited, especially Ada, lol. We'll meet again for NEXT month's Pumpkin Club, Sweeter With You, while we get River settled in to our family! In the meantime, make sure to check out the video for the current kit, Full of Charm!  We have a very classic sketch this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #464 to play with! When I went hunting for a likely set for this one, I kept in mind that it would need a good DSP to set off all those layers, too - and when I spotted this "cute" long sentiment in Otterly Amazing, I knew I had found my prize, lol. I took my time setting up all my layers - I wanted everything to have a tiny Pretty Peacock border! I also fussy cut this playful pair of otters from another sheet - just right for that sentiment! I'm so happy with how this one came out - otters always remind me of our Labradors - I always called our Sophie my otter-dog, lol. So many happy memories! After a little thought, I realized I could fit in our pre-order set for our Creativity Now event next month! We were offered the upcoming Peaceful Garden suite to go along with the event, and it will be released to all in the Holiday Mini this year. It's gorgeous, all soft blues and neutrals, with a mix of sentiments, and lovely dies, too. There's DSP, ribbon, embellishments and a coordinating embossing folder as well - and I almost forgot the glimmer paper mix! A lot to keep track of, lol. Anyway, I loved this floral sheet, and picked out the torn edge with the delicate wines and leaves in the dies. Instead of the ribbon, I went with some Night of Navy Linen Thread, and I finished with some Hues of Blue Flowers, but the white ones, lol. I think it all looks gorgeous over the Basic Beige, too!
