I always have to laugh when I see this graphic - Cupcake Inspirations #556 is "anything goes," and it's brilliant!
I'm going off the reservation a bit again today with another non-SU set, lol. A few weeks ago, I won top pick for a prize at Time Out Challenge #223 - wow! The prize was a $25 certificate to Newton's Nook, so I did a little shopping on them, lol. OF COURSE I found a new chicken set to play with - adorable! What totally caught my eye was this hilarious sentiment - I just couldn't resist! Thanks TOC! Such a fun prize! I think "chicken butt" is just right for anything goes, lol...

Whew - so glad to be able to play this round finally at The Sisterhood of Crafters' "one for the guys" challenge!
I haven't pulled out my He's All That suite in far too long, and I can never get enough of the manly DSP! I went with a barbecue theme for this one - hubby does the grilling in our house, and I just had to use the BBQ sheet, lol. We even had a little grill in the die-cut pieces sheets - perfect! I did up a medallion of the smoky sentiment, and popped everything together - simple and quick!

Fall Fern (& Christmas Cards Part 2 Oct 15!)

Shopping Our Stash #480 is running a "leaf me alone" challenge this round - so cute!
I've been really wanting to try Forever Fern in Fall colors for a while now - today is the day! I stamped three different stems in Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry. I tried to make them all radiate from a focal point, where I popped up my sentiment in Espresso. I thought some gold accents would go well, too, so I tousled some Metallic Gold Thread behind that as well, and added a few Brushed Gold Dots. I still needed a little something, so I threw on three tiny springs I cut with the matching dies, too. Time to stop!

I hope you like my spooky colors this round at As You See It #285!
I decided to go back to 2018's Sweet Home bundle to pull this one off! I had a good time building my haunted home in all our colors, lol. I was even able to use one of our tiny Matte Dots for the door knob! The Starry Sky bats almost broke me, but I pushed through it, lol. All oldies here, in new colors! So fun!
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these crazy colors - meet you there!

Leaf Fall (& Pumpkin Club Sep 24!)

Excellent - Can You Handle the Pressure is back with a new twist - FALL! Great timing, lol.
This is my chance to use my brand new EF called Leaf Fall - such a pretty pattern, and it's kind of lost in the Holiday Catalog, so make sure you go take a look for it! I used mine to do some corner texture on Crumb Cake, which I floated over a layer of Cajun Craze. I added this pretty sentiment from Gathered Wheat, then a leaf from our old 2018 set, Vintage Leaves. I colored a few of the embossed leaves with a water painter, just to add a tiny bit more movement. Simple and pretty!

Pink Birthday Piggy (& Fall Cards Class Sep 10!)

Lol, so many fun possibilities for this week's Addicted to CAS #227 "pink" challenge - woo!
For me, when I looked over my possible "pink" sets, the one that jumped out was This Birthday Piggy! Of COURSE a little piggy would be perfect in pink! I went with this little sleepyhead and made sure to bring on the pink - I don't think I've stamped this one before! What's even cuter about this one is the inside sentiment: "Go to your happy place and stay there all day!" Adorable! I snuck in a few Polished Pink Opal Rounds to finish things off - hopefully I have enough white space left to still qualify as CAS!

Oh yum - check out the sweet tropical inspiration cookies at this month's If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #171!
For this one, I decided to do a little scene - let's kick back with our toes in the sand, and a pink drink by our sides! I went back to last year's Seaside View for my elements - I placed some pretty palms over my beach-side adirondack, with some distant gulls in the sky. I had some fun coloring with my Blends markers, and finished with a few Pale Papaya Opal Rounds. For some reason they felt like they went with, to me, lol. Maui is calling!

Very cool theme this round at Can You Handle the Pressure - "Beach!"
Digging through my folder stash, I came across the retired "Ruffled" - I've always felt like this one was a great one for stylized waves and water! I did my embossed panel in Pool Party, over some Crumb Cake for "sand," and went to look for a likely stamp set to add. I almost pulled the new lighthouse set (love it!) but in the end I wanted to do some curvy swimsuits from Sunny Splash. These are such vintage bathing beauties, lol, and they're fun to match up with our vibrant new In Colors! I even doctored up a label strip to order for the sentiment!

Excellent - The Flower Challenge #70 would like us to keep it CAS this month! I'm on it!
I kept coming back to Honeybee Home when I was choosing today's stamp set - love these simple stems! I figured it was meant to be, lol, and went from there. Hopefully my single bee coming in for a flower landing isn't too distracting, and for some reason, these Vanilla sequins looked just right to me! Almost iridescent, like the bee wings! I tried to keep it fairly spare, and quiet in color for the CAS brief...

Perfect timing - Cardz 4 Guyz #299 is running a "summer" theme this round! Yay!
One of our favorite summer activities is ROAD TRIPS, lol! There's nothing like a cooler full of yummy snacks, a full gas tank, a car load of happy dogs, and an open road, lol. We have spent so many lazy summer days this way, and I was happy to make a little card celebrating it!
