Another fun landscape sketch today from Global Design Project #118!
Today turned out to be a good day to break in another new set for me - More Than Chocolate on deck this time! I finally caved and got this cutie - I've been wanting to make up my own box of chocolates for a while now, lol. I was surprised to realize that every single chocolate has two or three step stamping options - whoa! I assumed a lot of the detail I saw in the catty was added with markers, but we are WAY too cool for that! It totally went faster tan I thought it would, too - I thought for sure I'd have a hard time making it look filled in, but it was a cinch! Channeling my inner Whitman's today...

What an iconic sketch from Case This Sketch #251! Time to make something dramatic!
OK, what's more dramatic than pert little dragon?? Yes, I don't know what happened, but I saw the Magical Day suite in the 2018 Occasions Catty and went bonkers, lol. I'm not usually a kid card kind of gal, but I got it ALL this time! Even the washi sparkles and shines!! The framelits (oh yes, big-time bundle opp here) are just wonderful for all our little fairy tales creatures, and I'm seriously considering papering one wall of my craft room with the DSP! Expect to see my little magic critters sneaking into all kinds of greetings soon, lol...

Today's roomy sketch comes from Just Add Ink #390! I'm adding in this week's TGIF #138 - Christmas Carols!
I was so excited to use this sentiment from Christmas Pines - I don't think I have this year, and it's one of my faves! I love hearing this song, and it was running through my head all the time I was putting this together! I also got play with some fun layering for the sketch, and I tried not to go overboard with all the fun options we have with this thinlits, lol. Sometimes it's hard to stop! I even found a pine cone already to go in the stamp box, lol...

Picnic With You (& Pumpkin Club Dec 30!)

Oo, I love the movement conveyed on this sweet sketch from Match the Sketch #207!
I think this is my chance to debut another 2018 Occasions set, one I couldn't WAIT to get started on - Picnic With You! I don't even know where to start with this one - I love the details and two-step opportunities it has, and the beautifully detailed and well-planned framelits! There are duplicate dies for the wine glasses and basket handles, so you can run everything through at once. And a two-step wedge of cheese?? Get OUT! This was a fun warm-up card for this set - I even squeezed in some grass! The only thing missing is the ants, lol...

Love the tilty panel on this week's Paper Craft Crew #272! I can't wait to try it in these soft colors from Color Throwdown #473!
I think this season has really taught me that I can mix just about ANYTHING with Lemon Lime Twist, lol. Pink and green as a combo is no problem when you toss with the twist!! Today I pulled out Merry Patterns again - I just love that deer in his knit pattern knickers, and I'm really enjoying the look of the soft pinks and green I chose. It was also fun, and challenging for me, lol, to add tiny details without going overboard - mission accomplished, I think! I'm surprised how much I like the finished card!

I'm not sure it gets more classic Christmas than these colors from this week's Stamp Ink Paper #129! I think Freshly Made Sketch #317 will be perfect for it as well!
Let's pull a new Spring Mini set into Christmas, shall we? I am just fascinated by these two-step bows in Picture Perfect Birthday - I did full-strength bows, with stamped off background bits, to see if I could add some dimension - I really like this effect! I had to dig a little to find the right size sentiment to go with - so glad I hung on to Greetings From Santa! I'd say I have a successful cross-over here!

Sparkly Gift

We have a very "cool" combo over at Fusion "Blue Gift" this week - a beautiful way to close out the year!
I knew I wanted to try to incorporate both sides of the challenge, so I went for a sparkly blue-trimmed gift, with little Silver Glimmer pine sprigs. I think this year the Christmas Pines suite has been my go-to Christmas set! I just can't get over those thinlits in all colors, lol... It was also nice to add in a bit of the shimmer ribbon - my fave this in the ribbon department, too! Ahh, I feel all "fused" with Christmas spirit!

I'm so delighted to see this week's challenge from What Will You Stamp #146 - Christmas Quilt! I'm so sad this one is leaving us at the end of the holidays, sigh... I'll be squeezing in this fun color challenge from Merry Monday #269, too!
So, I know MM said we only had to use THREE of their colors, but really, why not just use them all?? I decided to pair them up and attempt a patchwork quilt background - I don't think I did too badly, lol. It was definitely cool how they locked together! Lots of ink today, fastest quilt of my life, lol...

Here's a fun sketch from TGIF #137 - can I keep it square? Hm... Well, either way, I'm totally tossing in this awesome color combo from Global Design Project #117 - everything is better with Lemon Lime Twist!
Sooo, about that square card base, yeah, not so much today, lol. Truth is, I'm just too lazy to make my own envelopes most of the time, and I really need the SU! mother ship to bring me back a range of square sizes, lol. I used them all! Today is my homage to Smitten Mittens, though, another set that will be leaving us at the end of the Holiday Catty {SOB}... I honestly don't know what they have against the fiber arts this year, lol, but I think it's been a clean sweep, lol. So sad for us yarn hoarders...

WOW! It's a BIG anniversary over at Case This Sketch #250 this week! So happy to join in on the fun there! I think these fun colors from Paper Players #374 will fit in nicely, too!
Looking at the elements of the sketch, I wanted an alternative to the botanicals they suggested, and I landed on Star of Light. So many pretty shapes and dies for this one, and I just love that swirly background swoosh for SO many things! And yes, it's even cute in these startling colors - what a fun holiday combo!
