Box of Chocolates (& Pumpkin Club Feb 27!)

Wow! Less Is More #436 is celebrating a BIG milestone - with CHOCOLATE! It's their 10th Birthday this week! Congrats, ladies!
So, ugh, there IS such a thing as chocolate overload - I just did a chocolate card yesterday, lol. However, I remembered this adorable set from 2018 - I don't think I ever used it enough! Ironically, this set is called More Than Chocolate - the same as my blog post yesterday - sigh. I had a good time putting together this little box of sweets, and imagining all the flavors I might have in there! Yum!

More Than Chocolate

In perfect timing, CAS on Friday #198 has a "love" theme for us this week!
I don't tend to gravitate towards the Valentine-specific stamp sets these days, but I can always find some "love" in the sets I do have, lol. It occurred to me that I don't think I've ever used these die-cut words from our adorable Nothing's Better Than bundle - so let's do it! Now, I do admit, it feels a little sacrilegious to put this out on a card for all to see, but yes, my guy qualifies, lol. I kept it all pretty straight-forward, and found some awesome enamel hearts at the last minute. Time to go dig up some chocolate!

Mambo Shells

We have a lovely wide-open sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #494! Won't it look beautiful in our bold colors at SU Only #269, too!
I decided I wanted to feature our gorgeous Friends Are Like Seashells suite again, and wouldn't you know it, there's this beautiful Melon Mambo sheet of DSP that has a "bleach" effect - score! Looking now, I think I may have totally misread this sketch - for some reason, I only focused on the off-set layer idea, lol - oops! I had fun adding touches of the remaining colors for SUO, and snuck in some silver seaweed behind my shells. I'm loving the finished look!

Seeing Goats

We have some lovely crisp colors to play with at this week's As You See It #243!
I'm not sure what it says about me, but when I saw these colors, the first thing I thought of was our Way To Goat set, lol. Definitely goat and goat accessory colors, in my mind! Now, I thought I was going to sneak the little can in there so that could be my Poppy Parade elements, but then I decided I wanted this one wit the cute flower instead - he looks very meditative, I think! So, lots of Sahara Sand for me, with touches of the rest of the colors, but I love how simple and fun this card was!

Valentine Defined

Well, this worked out perfectly! Today's card is for In{k}spire Me #442's Valentine's Special - yay!
I couldn't help but go back and pull out my old set Valentine Defined, from 2011, for this one - the challenge graphic reminded me so much of the little vines in the set! I combined the stamp set with a couple items that have come along since their time - I love doing that! First I did a nice de-bossed side of my Happy Hearts embossing folder, and then I paired the stamps with our Rectangular Postage punch. The titles sentiment JUST fit, perfectly! I arranged everything fairly loosely, and finished with a few rhinestone - quick and fun!

Fusion Valentine

We have a lovely combo this week at Fusion's Valentines Gnome challenge - love it!
I decided to focus on the pretty textiles in the inspiration pic and apply them to the sketch - I never use my Buffalo Check background stamp, and I want to! I started by making a basic plaid by adding some lines to my black Buffalo Check, then trimmed it down to fit inside the sketch. I did some red accents for some pop - a red banner, and this cute sentiment from Punch Party in red on one of new heart punches. This came out simple and rustic, I love it! I finished with a few of our resin hearts for just a touch of added color!

Approaching Perfection

We have more lovely layers to play with at this week's Fab Friday #207!
Today should be Sale-a-Bration Day, I decided - only two and a half weeks left of the most exciting time of the Stampin' Up! year! With that in mind, I went SAB-crazy for this one! First up, the sleeper hit Flower & Field DSP - I'm loving the dramatic colors against the dark backgrounds, and who knew they'd be so much fun to layer up together? I brought out the very tongue-in-cheek Approaching Perfection for my stamping today, too - such cute birthday greetings in this one, I couldn't resist and actually added a sentiment INSIDE the card today!

Steampunk Greetings

OH wow, SUPER theme at this month's The Male Room #147 - steampunk! I hope I can do it justice!
My favorite steampunk accessory is the fancy hat, with gears and all, and I really wanted to give a nod to something like that. Not an easy task with SU! items, shhh! I finally remembered my old old Guy Greetings set, that had this cute little hat block and sentiment, and I added some gears in vellum over it, finishing with a few Iridescent Pearls, because why not? The vellum isn't showing too well in the picture, took me three tries to even get to this level, but I'm pretty pleased with the result! I need to sandbox steampunk to my Mother Ship, I think!

Cactus Soiree

I'm back again at Addicted to CAS #190 - our code word is "pattern!" That's a toughie for clean and simple!
I finally settled on a subtle touch of background pattern for a feature image - sounds so technical when I say it like that, lol. I pulled out my Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks - there's this one tat reminds me a little of cactus ribs, so I paired it with my beloved Flowering Cactus suite again - love it so much! I added my sentiment first, then brushed on some pretty and pale pattern in Pear Pizzazz with our awesome new Blending Brushes - I think I'm going to need more of these so I can have one for each colorway. Then I floated this lovely Prickly Pear cactus over my pattern, cut from the gorgeous DSP - but I DID stamp one on the envelope at least, lol...

I'm seeing spots at our sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #493!
Today I really wanted to take my In Bloom set out for a color spin! I've been matching it up with the coordinating Sale-a-Bration paper, Paper Blooms, so it's past time to try out some different colors!I also wanted to keep everything inky - none of the fabulous dies that go with today, either, sigh. That kept everything pretty clean and simple - I'm liking these pops of color here!
