Wow, In{k}spire Me #518 has another cool combo - I like BOTH sides of this challenge! Such an unusual color combo - I immediately went digging through my DSP scraps to see what I could cover with that, lol. I found this lovely Crushed Curry plaid, and this spiffy Crumb Cake stripes, so I floated those over a panel of Pebbled Path and was on my way! I originally planned to do some kind of graduated flowers for my Berry Burst details, but then I spotted my Pick of the Patch Stamp Set, and knew I needed to use that, just so cute! I even finished with a few Berry Burst Tinsel Gems - perfection! Pick of the Patch Stamp Set; Crushed Curry & Crumb Cake DSP (both retired); Basic White & Pebbled Path CS; Berry Burst & Pebbled Path Inks; Pick of the Patch Punch; White Baker's Twine; Berry Burst Tinsel Gems; #IMC518. Such a striking color presentation at this round's AAA Cards #252 - I'm loving the purples! I saw plenty of inspiration to make a Christmas card with these lovely colors, too, so that's just what I did! I have Christmas on the brain all the time these days, lol. I decided to play with sponging color on this fun stamp from the Wishes All Around set - I have a lot of wreath sets, but nothing with this cool ring of trees! I started by inking it up in Pool Party, then daubing on some Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss. I felt like the Freesia didn't show as much as I wanted, so I cut my background wreath from that, and added some Tinsel Gems, too. My sentiment went right in the middle in Blackberry - love how this came out! Wishes All Around Stamp Set; Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia & Pool Party Inks; Sponge Daubers; Wishes All Around Dies; Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems; #AAA252. Let's make this a memorable holiday season together! We have the CUTEST theme this round at Christmas Craft Creations - "add a hat!" Brilliant! I went through all my Christmas sets to hunt down my favorite hat, lol, and was smitten when I spotted this beauty on my nutcracker man in Santa 'Stache from 2014 - what a spiffy topper! I couldn't resist floating him over these gorgeous classic stripes from the old Dashing DSP pack, and taking my color cues from there as well. Isn't he handsome?? Ladies always like the uniforms, they say, lol. I hope you can join us, and add a hat yourself! Meet you at the challenge! Santa 'Stache Stamp Set (retired 2014); Dashing DSP; Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive Dark & Light, Smoky Slate & SU700 Blends Markers; Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler; Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots; #CCCNovember2023. Let's make this a memorable holiday season together! We have a wonderful stacked sketch for you this round at Retro Rubber #219! I think everyone knows I like to play shapes for all they're worth, lol, and I sure did that with today's card! Browsing my shelves of retirement, I was keeping an eye open for any longer graduated shapes, also checking the dies. When I spotted 2019's Night in Bethlehem, I was sold - I could cut apart one of the long city-scape dies and make my triple stack from that! They were all so long, I almost thought I'd have to go landscape, but I made it fit with some strategic dimensionals and double-dimensionals, lol. It actually came together very quickly! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun sketch - we have some great imspiration for you over at the challenge - see you there! Night In Bethlehem Stamp Set (retired 2019); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy & Versamark Inks; White EP; Bethlehem Edgelit Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #RRCB219. We have a great prompt this round for you at Make My Monday #213 - called "lighting the way" - candles, light bulbs, lanterns, Christmas lights - you get the idea! I have just the thing for this one, though I did almost go back to my beloved Lighting the Way set, lol. But I'm in Christmas mode now, so it HAD to be Merry & Bright! I played again with the round bulbs today, over their awesome background sheet! This time, I hid my light-cord ends under my snipped sentiment pieces - worked like a charm! Another fun one to piece together in topsy-turvy ways, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR "lighting" projects - meet you at the challenge! Merry & Bright Stamp Set; Merry Bold & Bright DSP; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Pool Party & Granny Apple Green Inks; Merry & Bright Dies; Iridescent Dots; #MMM213. Lovely - Festive Friday #146 has a wonderful inspo list for us for Remembrance/Veteran's Day! I decided to go for a sympathy card in the end - mostly so I could use a current set, lol, and I love the sympathy sentiment in Heartfelt Hexagon so much! Just so pretty, and I like being able to add the elegant finials as well. I originally pulled my retired pack of Peaceful Poppies DSP, too, so I decided to stick with that - such gorgeous poppy sheets! I did a full card front and floated my dressed up hexagon over that with some Black grosgrain ribbon and Matte Black Dots. Easy design, with a nice splash of color! From the list, I think I covered red, black, punches, poppy and sympathy - pretty good! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set; Peaceful Poppies DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Heartfelt Hexagon Punch; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Matte Black Dots; #FF0146. I am LOVING the inspiration quote at this round's Time Out Challenge #250! It says it all! Since the quote talks about waves, I decided to pull in Waves of Inspiration - I have rarely used this gorgeous set - crazy! Even though it has some wonderful dies, I opted for using the beautiful wave image stamp - I colored it up in three different blues, and layered it over some Coastal Cabana. I also couldn't resist pulling in some of the Waves of the Ocean DSP that was released with the original pre-order of the set - love these paper sheets still! For my sentiment I pulled in this beauty from Something Fancy - I feel like that's what gratitude really is - everyday magic! Waves of Inspiration & Something Fancy Stamp Sets; Waves of the Ocean DSP; Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point (retired) & Night of Navy Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Rhinestones Waves Basic Jewels; #TOC250. Eee! We have a fun "holiday" recipe for you this round at As You See It #311! Let's cook! I'm so excited to finally break in my new Celebrate The Miracle stamp set - the first new Hanukkah set we've had in YEARS! So many fun elements in this one - both classic and playful! Yay! I paired it up with this pretty sheet from the O Holy Night pack, and taking a cue from my brilliant teamies, embossed a strip of vellum to float behind my feature panel! I had to start with this gorgeous menorah, with separate stamps for candles and flames - over this lovely font for my sentiment! At the last second, I couldn't resist sneaking on a couple dreidels, lol, they're just so cute! A bit of coiled silver twine finishes my recipe! I can't wait to see YOUR lovely creations with our recipe - meet you at the challenge! Celebrate The Miracle Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Versamark, Night of Navy & Crushed Curry Inks; Silver EP; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Wintry EF (retired); Silver Cording Trim; #AYSI311. Oo, something new (for me, at least, lol) this round at Shopping Our Stash #508 - a color challenge! I started by picking three colors - and I went with Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie & Misty Moonlight - what could I stamp with these? After a quick browse, I landed on Bird's Eye View - these guys are so funny! Since there are no sentiments, I Pulled Happy Labels to go with it, and got to work! I found a couple sheets of our first-run DSP stack in Misty Moonlight, and decided this text sheet would be perfect with the stack of books! I chose a studious birdie to perch on top and added some glasses to really complete the look, lol. Since we don't have Blends Markers in Garden Green (!!!) I opted for my water painters, too - I love the look! I floated all my stamping over this fun shape from Nested Essentials, and finished with a few Misty Moonlight Glossy Dots! Yay! I think this would make a great school congrats card, and I love using my old stash Misty Moonlight stuff! Bird's Eye View & Happy Labels Stamp Sets; Misty Moonlight DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie & Misty Moonlight Inks; Water Painters; Nested Essentials Dies; Misty Moonlight Glossy Dots; #SOS508. Such a fun theme - we want to see your Christmas stockings this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #154! I knew I wanted to go back to our darling Sweet Little Stockings suite from 2021 for this one - the critters in stockings are just so cute! I even still have some DSP! I started by setting up my basic background with the DSP, of course, lol, and then strung on some Baker's Twine to hang my stockings from! The twine ended up being barely visible, lol, because I decided to do ALL the critters this time, and I set them up in cute stockings cut from the DSP as well - I'd love to have stockings like this! I finished with my favorite sentiment from this set, and a few rhinestones! I can't wait to see YOUR stocking projects, hung with care! Meet you at the challenge! Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set ( retired 2021); Sweet Stockings DSP (retired); Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & SU200 Blends Markers; Stockings & Tasteful Labels Dies (both retired); White Baker's Twine; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SCC154. |
