I opted to go for just some layered die cut wreath from the dies, and floated this pretty and classic sentiment over them - I never get tired of this look, lol.  Such a cute theme they have for us this round at Cupcake Inspirations #582 - "home sweet home!" I knew just what I wanted to pull for it, too - the cute little cottage in the last Paper Pumpkin kit - Home For The Holidays! I decided to do two, colored up like the cuties on the cupcake pic, THEN I made their setting, lol, a little backwards today! I blended up a night sky over a torn piece of paper for my "hill," in Misty Moonlight. I wanted it to be a little brighter, so I went back over the edge of it in Blueberry Bushel. I didn't like the Pumpkin sentiments for this one, so I pulled my old Hearts Come Home set from 2019 for this one. There was even a Santa sleigh in it for my sky! I tried a moon and stars in Delicata Silver, but they really don't show well enough, so I finished with some Snowflake Sequins. Pretty cute, I think! I did the gray background strip at the bottom to echo that bag, and added the lovely die cut sentiment in Pretty Peacock. I had just enough room for the bloom at the bottom with the birthday wish! Some time ago, I was fascinated by some work I saw, where the stamper dry embossed some pieces, and then heat embossed over it - it looked really cool, and I wanted to try it, so I experimented some gold emboss over a Night of Navy panel in Absolutely Argyle. I did love the effect, like a patina! I didn't have a plan for it, and stashed it in my Navy scrap folder in case something came up. Well, today was that day, lol! I decided to pair the panel with Distressed Gold and the He's All That bundle, which has those cool little argyle dies! I floated this classic birthday sentiment over it all and finished with a few Navy Enamel Dot Essentials. I think it came out pretty spiffy, and masculine, too! Not bad for a stash find! This time, I wanted to play with some of the extra stems that come in the stamps, and also have dies - so sweet! I pulled a first run sheet of Berry Burst DSP for my background, and set to work. This sentiment is the one I use the most, so I layered it with some Mossy Meadow leaves, and colored up a few of the stems with Water Painters - love the soft look! I also floated this pretty arrangement over this awesome banner shape from Nested Essentials, and finished with a few Faceted Gems - love it! So many pretty blues - I'll just take a wee break from Christmas today, lol. I chose two like sheets, that had some good contrast - I just love this foxy sheet! I pulled in my recently acquired Season of Chic bundle again, too - today we have the big "thanks" and this pretty blossom detail - just right for the sketch! This is a big day for me - I get to try out a new-to-me blog challenge! Farm Quest #39 is having a "corn" challenge, lol - awesome! Off the top of my head, the only corn I could think of that I have is from the awesome Chick Dies, that are now retired. I decided to combine them with my Hay Chuck set - chickens really like to hang out together, right? I pulled some also-retired Day At The Farm DSP for my background paper, and set about building my corny scene, lol. I did a little fence line to tuck the corn behind, and built a few stalks for my favorite Chuck to do his special dance in front of! I always think the birthday sentiments are perfect for this one! What a fun challenge!
