We have SUCH a pretty sketch for you this round at Sunday Stamps #330! With all these pretty layers, I knew I wanted to show off some pretty DSP! My Perennial Lavender pack is still getting quite the workout, lol, and this led me to pulling in my Perennial Postage set to go with! I had fun dressing up ALL my layers over some Blackberry Bliss, and I didn't do anything extra to my background layer to keep it from looking too busy with that fancy DSP, lol. I SO love purple! I doctored up my Deckled Rectangle to get it just the right size for the sentiment - that big swoopy "always" is a little hard to cover! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty projects for our wonderful sketch - meet you at the challenge! Perennial Postage Stamp Set; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Crumb Cake CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Burlap Ribbon; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #SSC330.

Whew! I needed this! Christmas Craft Creations is here to feed my steady Christmas diet with a stencils or embossing challenge this month - yay! I really wanted to do something in stenciling today - I had to go on a hunt to see if I had anything that would work for Christmas! Then I spotted this snowflake sheet in my retired Adorning Designs pack - perfect! Another set I've been eyeing for a few weeks is my Celebrate With Tags bundle - I love the mitten in this one, and I really wanted to use it, too! I sort of threw this one together, and did TWO mittens for a pair. I made them a little topsy-turvy to disguise that they are the same mitten - two right hands, lol! Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set; Basic White & Azure Afternoon CS; Azure Afternoon & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Adorning Designs Decorative Masks (retired); Blending Brush; Celebrations Tag Dies; Heavy Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots; #CCCFeb24. Today we get TWO cards, because I just can't mash these together, lol - I knew it had to happen sooner or later! First up is our monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge #158 - let's see some plaid! I started my search with the plaid, and rummaged through my retired DSP bin. I quickly came up with this little pack called Wrapped in Plaid, and one of the pieces showing had all these plaid stockings on it! I took that as a sign, and checked my shelves for some stocking sets. Tags & Trimmings from 2017 leapt right out - such fun dies for it, with ALL the stocking details! I got a little creative to get it all to fit on my card front, but I think I went pretty plaid happy here! Make sure you show us YOUR tartans, too - standing by! Tags & Trimmings Stamp Set (retired 2017); Wrapped in Plaid DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Trim Your Stocking Dies (retired); Heavy Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Festive Pearls; #SCC158. Next up I have As You See It #318, where we're running an Easter theme - let's see those bunnies! I decided to go with some pretty fancy eggs - aren't these dies the cutest in our Excellent Eggs bundle? And look how sweet it is with our Perennial Lavender DSP! I did three colors for the eggs, and mixed and matched some inlaid parts for extra cuteness, lol. Tip: if you want to do some inlaid work with this die, I found that our old Large Oval Punch fits perfectly on the back, so I could fit in all my pieces and still pop up my finished eggs! I also loved the look of this beautiful script on this Nested Essential shape - so much drama! Make sure you hop over and share your Easter cards with us - I'll be waiting! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Excellent Eggs & Nested Essentials Dies; Large Oval Punch (retired); Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #AYSI318. Very cute - The Male Room #183 would like to see a Valentine, or at least for us to use a heart! OK, I think I managed something pretty cute indeed, with the help of this chonky bear from Fluffiest Friends - he's a snuggly bear! As soon as I spotted this honey sheet in the Bee Mine DSP pack, I knew it was made to go with this set, too, as well as Bee My Valentine, lol. Bee My Valentine even has the perfect honey sentiment, which totally makes up for there not being any in Fluffiest Friends, in my book, lol. Anyway, I got the hearts in there, and I'm ready for a cuppa now, too, lol. Perfect! Fluffiest Friends & Bee My Valentine Stamp Sets; Bee Mine DSP; Basic White & Sweet Sorbet CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight & Sweet Sorbet Blends Markers; Fluffiest Friends Dies; Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers; #TMR183. Another fun one - AAA #259 is anything goes, with an optional birthday twist! Sweet! A set I haven't used in a while (and yes, I might need Mexican for dinner tonight, lol) is Taco Fiesta! I just love this birthday sentiment, so I tried to make a CAS card around it! A simple row of some guac elements, the perfect sentiment below, with just a squeeze a lime - yum! These are so fun to color with my blends! Taco Fiesta Stamp Set; Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie & Real Red Blends Markers; Old Olive Matte Dots; #AAA259. We have a fun Spring-y tic-tac-toe for you all this round at Retro Rubber #225! I had to sit with this one for a bit to figure out a direction I wanted to go in, lol. Finally, I picked out a few things I DIDN'T want to do, lol, and worked from there! One of my choices remaining was the top row - shaped card, yellow & green and pattern paper - what do I have that could go with that? I got to thinking about a discussion we had about the Deckled Circle dies in class recently - SO MANY CIRCLES! And some big enough to create a shaped card base! Ta da! This set me on the hunt for "round" sets, and out came Arrange a Wreath from 2021! Since the colors said "Easter" for me, it pretty much flew on from there, and I LOVE how it came out! This was a fun one! I can't wait to see YOUR retro creations for our tic-tac-toe this round - meet you there! Arrange A Wreath Stamp Set (retired 2021); Daffodil Delight DSP; Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist & Granny Apple Green CS; Granny Apple Green & Daffodil Delight Inks; Wreath Builder & Deckled Circles Dies; Large Oval Punch; #RRCB225. Good times ahead - we want to see your fun folds this round at Make My Monday #220! I opted for a floating panel trifold for today, and jumped at the chance to show a new preview set, coming March 1 - this time it's the Simply Zinnia suite! I got in a little bit of everything except the embossing folder, lol. I had to really think through how to get my shapes to work for this one, and I finally hit on placing a panel of this Nested Essentials shape behind my zinnias - such a cool effect! It wasn't too tricky to work it all around my sentiment after I made that leap, and then I got to focus on my bright and happy coloring, lol. Here's a picture of the card flattened out, too, so you can see how it comes together! I can't wait to see YOUR fun fold projects this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set; Flowering Zinnias DSP; Basic White, Melon Mambo & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink & Berry Burst Blends Markers; Simply Zinnia, Nested Essentials & Stylish Shapes Dies; Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins; #MMM220. Now this is a fun one! Shopping Our Stash #515 would like us to "put our best face forward" and add a human face to our card! Tricky! So, except for Santa, turns out I don't have many faces here, lol - I'm more of a critter gal! BUT, I remembered, I have a newly acquired Sassy Suzie, from 2009, that I have never inked up! Perfect! As I reviewed the sentiments for this cutie, I realized WHY she's called Sassy Suzie, lol. She'll say anything! Since she's sitting at this little cafe table, I gave her a cafe front background from the Les Shoppes DSP pack, and had some fun coloring her in. At the last second, I put one of her zingers inside, too - I'll have to choose the recipient carefully, lol. Sassy Suzie Stamp Set (retired 2009); Les Shoppes DSP; Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Night of Navy, SU400, SU100, Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, Moody Mauve, Boho Blue & Pebbled Path Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #SOS515. I'm excited today to play at a new-to-me challenge that is right up my alley! It's anything goes this round at Critter Crazy Challenges #83! Yay! This is my chance to ink up another Online Exclusive preview - this cute kitty is from the Pets & More set! It has 5 cute critters in it, and all of them (plus a few accessories, lol) are REALLY symmetrical, for reverse stamping that works like a charm! I stamped the detail side of my kitty first in Black, then flipped him over and added some stamped off Smoky Slate to fill in his colors! I couldn't resist added a dot of Berry Burst for his nose, too, lol, I do like to be matchy-matchy! He needed a Berry Burst fishie, too! Still, this is pretty super-CAS for me! Pets & More and Happy Labels Stamp Sets; Basic White & Berry Burst CS; Berry Burst, Memento Tuxedo Black & Smoky Slate Inks; #CCC83. It's really about the love this week, lol - The Flower Challenge #88 would like us to add a heart! I decided to look over my Shelves of Retirement for this one - and I haven't inked up Beautiful Thistle in who knows how long! Winner winner! I started by checking my scraps folders for something good for the background, and I came across this retired sheet of Soft Sea Foam in a plaid - perfect! I matched this with Highland Heather, to carry the theme, lol, and got to work on my thistles. Turns out I love this combo of green and purple, lol, and I stamped the smallest sentiment on this fun heart in the Radiating Stitches Dies. I even had some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to finish things off! Beautiful Thistle Stamp Set (retired 2023); Soft Sea Foam DSP (retired); Basic White & Highland Heather CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Inks; White EP; Highland Heather & Soft Sea Foam Blends Markers; Beautiful Thistle (retired) & Radiating Stitches Dies; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #TFC88.
