
OK, problem solved with the arrival of my brand new Climbing Orchid set - it's just flat out lovely. I spent some time building a single spray of blooms on a Crumb Cake Base, and played with colors on scrap to get the subtle coloring effects I wanted: I stamped the blossoms in Crushed Curry, and them used my Blender Pen to pull out hints of color over the petals. I added touches of Calypso Coral with an aquapainter, and stamped the dark centers over that in Early Espresso, which also served for stems and sentiment. One layer is SO TOUGH for me, but I really love the simple elegance of this one...

I'm so excited it's finally time once again to launch our "Part 1" Christmas Card class - woo hoo! This year we will feature 5 cards, all using sets from our big catty, plus one PREVIEW card using a fun set from the upcoming Holiday Catty - how cool is THAT?? All 5 cards will feature sets that we haven't used in our classes before, even if they are carry overs from last year - promise!
