Recently, our dear friend Agnes approached me about making her some cards to share, celebrating the memory of her husband, also our dear friend, Richard. I can't believe we have been without him for a year now, and even now, I see something almost every day that I think I want to share with him, or talk to him about, and am reminded anew that that's all on hold now. I was so flattered (and intimidated!) when Agnes asked for my help! We talked about what images were important to her memories, and about Richard's use of the phrase "Just another day in paradise..." which was his response whenever we called to see how he was doing - so like him! Our discussions yielded this card, and afforded me some time for myself to say goodbye once again. More than this, though, I was really struck by the sense I had of Richard while I worked on these, and how strengthened I feel in my conviction that I will see him again, and that he waits for all of us. In paradise.
