I'm sure liking What Would You Stamp #64 - Rose Wonder! Such a lovely set to play with! Today I decided I wanted to play with the leafy elements of this set - I love this little branch and all its little leaves! I've noticed that I like floating all this over our corrugated papers, too, lol. It just goes so well! Today I wanted to make sure I brought the rich colors to go with my sympathy sentiment - I hope it looks like a little breeze passing through... "sympathy." I added a white panel inside and added another sentiment from Rose Wonder - "You're in my thoughts and prayers." Love it. An Open Heart & Rose Wonder (inside) Stamp Sets; English Garden DSP; Kraft Corrugated, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, Soft Suede, Night of Navy & Whisper White CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Pretty Print Embossing Folder; Banner Punch; Neutrals Candy Dots in Soft Suede.
Got a glitzy color challenge at this week's TGIF #36 - Silver, Black and Gold! I'm pretty fascinated by the possibilities of the Rose Garden Thinlets that go with our gorgeous new Rose Wonder stamp set. I decided I wanted to play with the the little leaflet sprig in various glimmer papers, but then, er, I wanted to keep it spare and simple, see, and add some texture, and well, that seemed to call out for the sympathy sentiment. So somehow I've made a glitzy sympathy card without meaning to, but hey, I really like how it came out, and I never seem to have sympathy cards on hand when I need them, so I'm keeping it! Rose Wonder Stamp Set; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Champagne, Silver & Black Glimmer Papers; Kraft Corrugated Paper; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Rose Garden Thinlets. So sad - we're on our final week of My Pumpkin Challenge #0915 - A Touch of Gold... That said, I totally didn't mean to be all melodramatic with my final card, lol. I just really like the font and size of this sentiment, and the little flourishes we can use with it! I added a couple more little touches, but really, the perfect coordination of this kit is SO easy to play with! Can't wait to see YOUR creations - you have just enough time to slip in! Chalk It Up to Love Paper Pumpkin; plus. Pink Pirouette & Basic Black CS; Encore Gold Ink; Gold Baker's Twine; Banner Triple Punch; Basic Jewel Jumbo Pearls (retired). Season to Season Wreath Class! Oh wow - you are going to LOVE the Season to Season Wreath project! This kit class features the beautiful wreath shown, with three different little banners and hanging ribbons that you can change out to update for October, November and December holidays! SO much fun! Class is announced for Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 pm or Saturday, October 10 at 3 pm. Class is $30, and includes your own complete kit, and all additional supplies needed to complete the project, plus snacks, drinks, and a treat from me! RSVP today to reserve your kit, or to schedule an alternate date! Can't wait to see you! Ahhh, time for our next theme at My Pumpkin Challenge #0915 - A Touch of Gold! There are some truly gorgeous elements in this month's Pumpkin, with just delicate little touches of detail. I love this - so it's not too ornate! I'm starting out with the sympathy sentiment, and I decided to cut up the other cards to use to go full size in my final result. It's been quite enjoyable to go through my stash and identify all my little bits of Vanilla embellishments to use with this kit! Hop on over to the challenge to share your Midas touches - can't wait to see! Chalk It Up To Love Paper Pumpkin; plus, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla (inside) CS; Encore Gold Ink; 1/4" Black Grosgrain; Basic Jewel Jumbo Pearl. Witching Decor Class September 10 or 12! SO excited about this class! We will be assembling our very very own witch hats, for display or inspiration, lol! Your complete project kit will be provided, and I will have all the additional stamps and inks we need available - all you'll need is your hot glue gun! Class also includes snacks and drinks, plus a special treat treat from me, all for $25! I hope you can come get spooky! Class is announced for Thursday, September 10, 630 pm, or Saturday September 12 at 3 pm. RSVP to reserve your kit today! Oo, I really like the right-justified look of this week's sketch at Nacho Average Challenge #153! So, sympathy cards are so hard to make sometimes. So much so that I don't ever tend to have them on hand when I need them, as much as I always swear I'll get better about it. Who ever wants to plan ahead for this need? It always feels off for me somehow. Today is a quick stab at getting something in the stash for a friend that I think is going to need it soon, sigh. I love the gentle colors I went with, and the natural elements of this set, An Open Heart, so much. I'm going to be so bummed to send this one, though... An Open Heart Stamp Set; Pretty Petals DSP; Mint Macaron, Basic Black & Very Vanilla CS; Basic Black Archival, Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral & Old Olive Inks; Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (retired.) Hello Life: Lots of Cards Class I'm so excited to announce this month's class - Hello Life: Lots of Cards! There will also be drinks and snacks, plus your take-home treat from me! RSVP today! PS. I have one intact Hello Life kit remaining for $25 if you'd like to join us - plus this class fee of $10 would make $35 total. Just let me know! Oh so happy - time for another sketch with Fab Friday #66! I can't take it anymore - and I MUST PLAY WITH NEW TOYS! This is definitely a week that I'm taking over-the-top liberties with the sketch. I guess I don't feel much like little squares today - and I also feel like fussy cutting! So, I turned the sketch sideways, added a flower, and re-ordered my layers. So there! "They're more like guidelines," really, right? So I can't wait to see what you have for us this week - come be Fabulous with us! You've Got This Stamp Set; Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder; Mint Macaron & Whisper White CS; Gold Encore, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron & Tip Top Taupe Inks; Gold Embossing Powder; Spring Flowers Embossing Folder; Banner Triple Punch; Dotted Lace Trim in Tip Top Taupe; Basic Jewel Pearls & Jumbo Pearls (retired.) Independence Day Decor Class! I think it's time to make a new outfit for our Hello Life Project Kit! I know we loved our St. Patrick's Day gown - let's do one for July 4, too! Class is still on for Saturday, June 13 at 3 PM, and a new make-up class on Thursday, June 18 at 6:30 pm. Class will include all supplies, a little treat from me, and snacks and drinks. If you already have a Hello Life Project kit, class is $20, and will build on what we've started with. If you need a kit to get started with, I have several on hand, and class is $25. RSVP today, so I can make sure to be ready for you! Such a pretty inspiration pic at Just Add Ink #261 this week! SU-per Challenges #88 seems perfect to go with it with their flower challenge! For this one, I decided to concentrate on the colors, as well as the botanical elements. I'm so in love with the neutrals combined with Lost Lagoon and Pool Party - so cool and sophisticated. Bloom With Hope seemed a natural choice, and a lovely sympathy offering besides. So pretty. In trying to imagine the circumstances I might give this in, I tried to keep it pretty clean and simple, too... Bloom With Hope Stamp Set; Sahara Sand, Lost Lagoon, Pool Party & Very Vanilla CS; Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Lost Lagoon & Pool Party Inks; Corner Rounder Punch; Circle Card & Snowflake Card Thinlets; Basic Jewel Jumbo Pearl (retired.) New Catty Sneak Peek Class! Oh, stampers, it's that most wonderful time of the year again - the time when we get ready for the release of the 2015-16 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog! Eeeeee! I'll also have your new catalogs here for you, so you can get ready for the beautiful awesomeness coming our way starting June 3! Oh my gosh, you are going to love these projects and colors! Class is announced for Thursday, May 14, 630 PM, chez Heroldt, or Saturday, May 16, 3 PM, also chez Heroldt. Class will be $20, and will include projects, snacks and your new catty to take home with you! RSVP now to make sure I have your materials ready and waiting! I knew as I saw this wide open field in this week's Sunday Stamps #80 that I needed to find a color challenge to match it with - and Fab Friday # 46 came along to save the day! As I got to poking around trying to decide what to do with this combo, I realized that for two of the colors in this challenge, I have Blendas - guess that means it's time for me to actually try my hand at coloring an image with them now! Since I just got Bloom With Hope, one of our awesome new Hostess sets, in a shipment last week, I thought maybe one of these flowers would be a good place to start. I also hoped that the pen-and-ink style of the images might help obscure any Blenda-Blunders I might make, too! Turns out, I was worried over nothing - SO easy to use! And no penalties for going back and dabbling more and more! The paper is still totally smooth - no pilling or bubbling like happens sometimes with aqua-painters... Just make sure to give your ink layer 30 seconds or so between layers once in a while - the ink continues to blend and smooth as the alcohol continues to evaporate. It's hard to photograph how much more depth my colored image has now. I'll definitely be doing more with these yummy pens! (And check out those rhinestones I colored, too! Woo hoo!) Bloom with Hope Stamp Set; Basic Black, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight & Coastal Cabana Blendability Markers; PL Corner Rounder Punch; Basic Jewel Rhinestones.
