Cherry Cobbler Christmas

I'm so excited to be guesting this month with Christmas Craft Creations for their October challenge - monochromatic!
As soon as I saw the beautiful Cherry Cobbler sheet in our special release Traditions of St. Nick DSP, I SO knew I'd be featuring out Saint Nicholas bundle! I so love these old-time Santa images and fonts! This fireside scene on the DSP is straight out of The Nutcracker in my mind, lol. Anyway, I did a simple background for the gift-bearing St. Nick, and smudged both he and the fancy sentiment up with a Blender Pen. Some Cherry Cobbler twine and dots and I was good to go!
I can't wait to see YOUR monochrome Christmas projects, too - see you at the challenge!
Saint Nicholas Stamp Set; Traditions of St. Nick DSP; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Saint Nicholas & Countryside Corners Dies; Cherry Cobbler Heavy Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots; #CCCOct23Monochrome.

Yes! Time for another "anything goes" challenge at Retro Rubber #217! Let's go crazy!
I have another one from the vault for you today - this is Old Fashioned Christmas from 2000! I swear that visiting stash has so many cuties in it, it has been SO fun to play with! I was tempted by the jolly Santa in this set, but really, when you're in the mood to color, there's nothing like a decked-out traditional Christmas tree, lol. It was a moment thinking about what coloring tools there were back when this set came out - thank goodness for my Blends! With all that coloring, I kept the layout and design pretty basic!
I can't wait to see YOUR retro projects - what's in the vault for you? Meet you at the challenge!
Old Fashioned Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2000); Basic White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, Real Red & SU700 Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Gold Sequins; #RRCB217.

It's finally cooling off here in Arizona, lol, so I am thrilled with our Fall colors challenge at this round's Make My Monday #211!
I knew I needed to pull out the awesome All About Autumn DSP for this one - the photo pages are just wonderful!  Today I featured this aerial shot over turning leaves - time to break out a thermos to go with that cooler weather, too!  Lol, sometimes you just want to play with ALL the Fall toys...  I did some accents in Copper Clay, colored a tiny mountain scene sticker for the carafe, and, since today is hubby's birthday, threw in a birthday sentiment, too!  That's a lot of action for one card!
I can't wait to see your pretty Fall colors, too - meet you at the challenge!
Warmest Heart & Hello Kiwi Stamp Sets; All About Autumn DSP; Very Vanilla & Copper Clay CS; Early Espresso & Copper Clay Inks; Mossy Meadow, Copper Clay & Wild Wheat Blends; Gathered Leaves Dies (retired); Classic Matte Dots in Very Vanilla; #MMM211.

Sending You Hugs

Very nice - Festive Friday #0144 has an amazing inspo list for World Mental Health Day!
Looking over the list, I couldn't resist turning to my beloved Merry Bold & Bright DSP pack for this green and blue stripey sheet - so perfect!  When I saw the "frame" item, I thought of the two different frames that fit the punch in our sneak peek Heartfelt Hexagon bundle, which also happens to have this sweet "hugs" sentiment!  They were all made for each other, lol.  I even snuck in a little silver thread for a metallic embellishment.  I think this simple and cheery card says it all - just right for the occasion, too!

So nice - Time Out Challenges #248 has a cancer awareness theme this round - there's even a "digi" we may use if we like!
I thought I'd give the digi a try, such cute critters, but then I couldn't get it printed onto cardstock, lol, so I punted!  I ended up combining this sentiment from Something Fancy with the Timeless Arrangements dies, along with a fussy cut Ribbon of Hope.  Just a quick little arrangement all in Calypso Coral and Petal Pink!  I even found some Calypso Coral linen Thread for one last extra detail.  I'm really pleased by how this came out - such pretty and fine details!

Mmm, lovely snuggly colors we have this round at As You See It #309!
I hope they make this sympathy card feel like a warm hug - I kept the design simple and sincere.  The stamp and punch is from our new pre-release, called Heartfelt Hexagon.  We get to take a sneak peek for tomorrow's World Card Making Day!  I wanted to play with the set a tiny bit ahead of time, and this is where I landed.  This gorgeous Copper Clay sheet is from the O Holy Night pack - I love the pattern sides almost as much as the scenery sides!  I added some simple Misty Moonlight cotton ribbon, and a few first run Misty dots - I couldn't believe my eyes when I found these in a drawer, lol.
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these toasty colors!  Meet you at the challenge!

Such a super challenge this round and The Sisterhood of Crafters - "shapes!"  Love it!
For this one, I retrieved my Textures & Frames from the "for sale" box, lol - it seemed just right for creating a shape-filled background!  I spent some time stamping and stamping off, and I think I did pretty well at keeping it balanced!  For the sentiment, I turned to Something Fancy, and popped up my chosen saying over some Calypso Coral ribbon.  I finished with some Iridescent Pastel Gems!  Not my usual color scheme, but pretty cute, I think!

I'm so excited about Shopping Our Stash #506's challenge this round - it's called "color me beautiful," and they want us to use our favorite coloring technique!  Yes!
I decided today would be another good day to pull out a set from my new "vintage" stash, lol - today I have 2001's Holiday Hedgehogs!  These are a dream to color, and so I got to show off my favorite - Blends Markers!  I used to be super into water-painting, and I still like that, too, but I turn almost exclusively to the Blends these days - I just love them!  I did this simple layout with my old Plaid Tidings DSP, all in Rectangle Stitched layers, and went to town, lol.  I couldn't resist dressing the finished card up with my newly arrived Loose Holly Gems & Sequins, too - just a little shine!
Holiday Hedgehogs (retired 2001); Plaid Tidings (retired); Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, Real Red & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Loose Holly Gems & Sequins; #SOS506.

I'm loving our fresh colors this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments 424!
It took me FOREVER to decide what to play with for them, though, lol.  I finally settled on our super cute Year To Celebrate - I love these noise-makes!  My thought was I could pair up the colors to make some fun party favors!  I toned things down just a bit by stamping off in key places, and I really love how it all came out!  Topsy-turvy seemed appropriate for this party card, too, lol.
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these colors - meet you at the challenge!
Year To Celebrate Stamp Set; Calypso Coral DSP; Basic White & Calypso Coral CS; Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Pebbled Path & Versamark Inks; White EP; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Calypso Coral Sheer Ribbon; Calypso Coral Sequins; #HSS424.

Excellent - The Library Challenge #85 has another new-to-me title for us - October, October!  Beautiful cover - off to check this out!
Well, drat, I think this title is too new to have made it to the library yet, and I don't see a kindle edition yet either, lol.  I'll have to figure something out! In the meantime, my Winter Owls bundle arrived JUST in time to make an appearance for this card!  I chose a dramatic background from the O Holy Night DSP, and pieced together the extra wingspan on this beautiful owl for the corner - love it!  I went with this sentiment from the stamp set, and did everything in Copper Clay to go with the paper and mimic the coloring of the lettering on the cover.  I think the book has me beat, but I was so thrilled to have this one for breaking in my new set!
