 Ooo! I am smitten with CAS on Friday #215's circles challenge - my all-time fave design element! One that I've been really wanting to try is this ring from the Circles & Frames Sale-A-Bration set - the specific image that drew me to the set, lol. As usual, I didn't quite get to it before SAB was already over (sigh), but I'll keep my bonus sets on my current shelves for the rest of the year anyway, lol. So there! I tried to keep it pretty simple, and went rings stamped and stamped off in three colors - hopefully there's still enough white space to look "clean" enough, lol. And the sentiment had to go on a Stitched Circle - I think "retirement" is can never be rushed, lol...  Dang, what a cool combo at this week's Fusion "poppy door" challenge! I want a door like that! I of course still have my still-current Painted Poppies set, but for the focal column, I decided to go back to our old 2013 background stamp, Pleasant Poppies. I felt like this one fit the inspiration image a little better! I still pulled in the other set for the envelope, and an inside panel, lol, and that led naturally to using Peaceful Moments for my sentiment, as this was the companion set for it anyway. I'm really happy with this simple layout, and my layered tags! After that, I pretty much stuck to the sketch, and added a few brilliants to finish things off - simple and sweet! I quickly picked out the far left column: one word sentiment - thanks - something that flies. I was thinking a bird or a dragonfly, really, but then I spotted my old Above the Clouds set that retired last year - I love these two-step balloons! I used my Greetings Dies to layer up a nice robust "thanks" in Pool Party, then had some fun making some bright balloons to fly around - such a sunny card! I totally forgot I have a punch for this, too - I was already done fussy-cutting them when I remembered, lol. I turned right away to my Pretty Pumpkins set - I knew already I wanted to brighten up this particular pumpkin in Fall colors! I ended up using sponge daubers to add a mix of Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry. A couple Soft Succulent leaves was just the right finishing touch. I snuck in a tiny strip of Harvest Meadow DSP - I'm really scraping the barrel on this pack! I literally have no scrap wider than 3" left, lol. I think we liked this one! Such a fun challenge! After I got to make a lovely scripture card for TSOT last week, I thought I'd go check and see if there was anything new out at Divinity Designs - and I'm delighted that I found TWO new sets to me, one of which is this gorgeous collection of John "I am" sayings. The set is naturally called "I Am," lol. So perfect. And also just right for floating over my favorite cracked glass stencil in the Plenty of Patterns set - a match made in Heaven! But I love that so many images can be turned in to a lovely background, like this pretty fern sprig in Positive Thoughts - I so love the dies with this set! And since it had been an age, well, it needed a little ink, lol. A pretty hello card for sure, and I get to use one of my last scraps for my Harvest Meadow DSP! Since I couldn't choose just one fox, I had to fussy cut them all, and then I pulled a sentiment from my beloved Banner Year set. Just a little of this, a little of that today, lol. Super cute!
