This challenge is giving me a chance to show off several new and upcoming items - yay! I'm not sure why, but this super cute thermos set, Warmest Heart, really grabbed me! And since it has a little sun icon for your favorite flask, I knew I wanted to try it out here! I set up a background of our new Deckled Circles (eee!) in different retired DSPs, then planned out my thermos. I knew I wanted the sun, but I also wanted to try one of the print patterns for it, so I die-cut all that, and colored in my lid with a Blend. I'm so tickled with how cute this came out!  Love the design elements they're looking for this round at The Male Room #177 - dots are my fave! And since I ALWAYS do dots, lol, today I'm actually going with stripes, lol. Because this beautiful new Merry Bold & Bright DSP has some glorious ones! It has glorious dots, too, I can't not say that, but we'll be using THOSE in class on Saturday, lol. So stripes it is! I also felt like these fun colors together were a bit more masculine, maybe - certainly the rhino looks like he's into them! I had so much fun coloring this one - and I totally love that all our returning colors this refresh had their own Blends Markers - whew! I think Blueberry Bushel might actually grow on me this time! I'm super excited about Shopping Our Stash #502's theme - it's "vacation destination" - real or imagined, lol. So fun! I'm actually combining old and new stash items for this one, lol. When I spotted the Above It All stamp set in our upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog, I KNEW it had to be on my pre-order! I instantly also knew I wanted to pair it with my beloved-but-retired Enjoy The Journey DSP! This combo is the spitting image of one of our FAVORITE vacations, over Christmases to Banff Springs, Canada! We love it there so much, and haven't been able to get back since COVID, sigh. My fearless husband and daughter love to ski there at the Sunshine Ski Resort (not me, lol) and I usually ride up to the ski village to meet them for lunch on the amazing gondola, lol. Such a view! They go all the way up top the Continental Divide - I would be SO chicken to do that! Anyway, SUCH good times! We're all about the citrus this challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments #420! It was fun to pull out and play with my Sweet Citrus bundle - I didn't even fire up the hybrid embossing folder, lol. I did some citrus outlines in Crushed Curry, and filled in with Lemon Lolly, with details and leaves in Granny Apple Green - yum! I also played with the little blossoms for the first time - so sweet! I floated it all over our old Layered Leaves EF from 2020 - just right! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our fresh inspiration board this round - meet you at the challenge! Such a cool combo this round at In{k}spire Me #511 - I gotta get in on this! I went straight to our Circle Sayings set for this one - seemed a natural fit, lol. I decided to stamp most of my sketch elements, and used the "celebrate" circle and cupcake image for my main features. I very carefully water-painted some color onto the cupcakes, too - worked out perfectly! I added some solid dots that I punched out to round things out, and the little banner from the sketch, though my sentiment is actually in one of the circles - fun! I finished with a few tiny rhinestones just to draw in some light! Check out our super fresh colors this round at Sunday Stamps #315! Yum! Tasty as they look, though, I STRUGGLED with these, lol. I finally landed on my It's A Science set, thinking I could make some different colored bottles, lol. Even then, I couldn't make up my mind for the background color! I made three different versions of this card, with Lemon Lolly, Calypso Coral and Tahitian Tide DSP - whew! I finally went with the Tahitian Tide, in simple stripes from last year's DSP stack - looks very lab-like, lol. I popped up a couple elements for some dimension, and realized that I could fit my sentiment on the clipboard. It still looks a little off to me, sigh, but I sat with it for a while and decided to set it free! I can't wait to see YOUR fabulous projects with these colors - put some egg on my face, folks! The theme this round at The Sisterhood of Crafters is "tropical!" I'm on it! To get myself started, I checked my retired DSP box to see if I had anything good and tropical - and as I hoped, I still have a bit of the Tropical Oasis pack! When I spotted this Calypso Coral sheet, I knew I wanted to go all flamingo instead of palm trees and plumeria, lol. So out came Friendly Flamingo! I made this pretty guy in Calypso to go with the DSP, but I did fussy cut this gorgeous jungle leaf to add some pop! This is my favorite sentiment for this guy, too - such great advice! This is a theme I've seen a couple times before - but now Cardz 4 Guyz #327 is having an "on the water" theme! I had to pull out my On The Ocean set again, so many fun shapes in this one! I started from an all-over background in the stunning-but-retired Waves of the Ocean DSP - love the look of this paper still! From there I set up a nice block to set off my lovely tall ship, and I tried my hand at fussy cutting some foamy waters for some scene setting. I added some clouds and seagulls, and finished with a few Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems - lots of blues today, lol. I'm also excited that this card can double as my team sketch challenge inspiration - woo! I'm really liking the tropical feel in this round's colors at Cupcake Inspirations #574! On a hunch, I checked my newly-arrived Masterfully Made DSP pack for the colors - SCORE! There was this beautiful sheet of torn edges in Lemon Lime Twist, and a band of Azure Afternoon on another that worked perfectly! I did all my layers in Deckled Rectangles to go with the torn edges, though I couldn't resist a go with the spiral notebook edge die in the Gorgeously Made dies, too, lol. So cute! I went a little tilty, and added this pretty leaf sprig in Lemon Lime Twist, too, and stamped my sentiment in more Azure Afternoon. Simple and bright - just right! I finished with some White sequins, but they're kind of hard to see, hm... AAA Cards #245 would like to see something masculine, and if we can sneak in monochrome, even better! I think I pulled off both pretty OK! I started by choosing my "masculine" set - though this is such a slippery slope, lol. I know at least as many chopper-riding ladies as gents, these days - maybe an Arizona thing? ANYWAY, Legendary Ride it is! I went with Misty Moonlight for my color - I had a feeling it would blend up soft and pretty for my background, but stamp bold enough for the chopper! I think I might be getting slightly better at my blending brushes, too - I really should use them more! After my blended band, I stamped and stamped off twice for a little movement, and added my sentiment. I couldn't resist some Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems, too - shh!
