I am so honored to guest DT for What Will You Stamp #130's Mixed Drinks challenge - one of my fave sets! I'm using Freshly Made Sketch #301 for my layout, and Color Throwdown #456's juicy colors, too!
Ahhh, today was such a fun stampin' experience for me! It had everything I love: fun shapes, coloring, fussy cutting, and of course, you can't go wrong with the yummy subject matter, lol. Now that it's all done and assembled, I wonder if I look like some kind of uber-lush - imagine these as fruity sparkling sodas - OK?

Wink of Dragonfly

Today's sketch is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #335, and I'm totally matching it with the butterflies and dragonflies theme at SU Only #181!
As you can guess from the title, I decided to play with my Wink of Stella today - it seemed a natural fit with the sparkly jewel tones of a dragonfly I was going for. After coloring and cutting out my dragonfly, I started in with the clear Wink of Stella on the wings. It shows up pretty well in person, in a certain light, but I wanted something more, and the lower part of the card front looked kind of plain. What about some spatter? I made a bit of a mess on my desk, but I'm happy with the results: I over-squeezed my pen, then snapped the saturated barrel over my finger to get some flicking going - hopefully it doesn't look like I sneezed on my card, lol...

I love that Retro Rubber #69 has a fun tilty sketch for us this week!
With such a nice open field for stamping, I decided to really dig into my retired stash, and bring out a classic - 2005's Fashion Statement fit the bill! While I settled on a simple collection of the images from this set, the sentiment was anything but, lol. I had to SAMJ the heck out of this baby to make the words fit the space I had for it! Sigh, sometimes I wish I didn't get so stuck on a design idea that I go nuts trying to make it work, lol. Yup, I've got seriously inky fingers today!

Feeling FABulous today again - 'cause it's time for Fab Friday #119! I'm adding in What Will You Stamp #129's Bike Ride challenge, too - so glad for another excuse to use this cute set! Aaand, I think I can add in Stamp Ink Paper #112's "travel" challenge, too - going for the triple!
Today we are manufacturing the bike in Fresh Fig - isn't it gorgeous against the Lemon Lime Twist?? (Insert maniacal laughter here...) Yes, yes, yes, I was worried that there might some folks out there who have forgotten that my fave color combo of all time is any color green with any color purple - fig and lime are just perfect! I wanted to try my hand at the little stack of books today - that'd be MY ideal birthday prezzie, for sure, lol... Enjoy, travel safe, and see you at the Fab!

Such a pretty sketch this week at TGIF #120! Let's try it in these gorgeous sherbet colors from Sunday Stamps #159!
OK, gotta put this out there - before this challenge, I don't think I had really put together how many shades of pink we have in SUSU land! Whoa! I hope I can keep my supply list straight on this one...
ANYWAY, this seemed like a perfect layout and color scheme for our gorgeous Climbing Orchid set. I tried to channel my walks through the orchid house at the National Botanical Gardens while I colored, and I think I mostly succeeded. I used to love to pack a lunch and hang out there - like a jeweled jungle, sigh. Believe it or not, I used to cut school to go to the Smithsonians when I was in high school, what kind of delinquent does THAT? A cultured one, I think...

I love this off-edge layout at Case This Sketch #234 - so modern! I also think this sketch is spare enough that I can squeeze in Less Is More #341's vehicle challenge, too! And what the heck, I think these bright colors from Paper Players #357 will work for my idea, too!
So what better vehicle to color up all pretty than our sweet little glamper camper? I still hope that one day hubby will cave and let us acquire a retro little camper like this one, lol... I think I managed the one-layer directive, and I had to go a little psychedelic on my moon and stars, but still, looks like a fun birthday night to me, lol.

Oooo, we have a nice wide-open layout at In{k}spire Me #312 this week - yay!
Today's sketch was another awesome chance to pull out another preview set - Gourd Goodness. I think this one might be a sleeper hit - it has three different arrangements of two-step gourds, for making your own fancy fall display, lol, plus a leaf, which I'll have to trot out on my next gourd card. It also coordinates with the Painted Autumn DSP - I think we might have another super suite, folks! Anyway, I channeled my Fall field walks Back East for this one - or maybe the display at my local Whole Foods, lol...

I'm seeing stars over at Match the Sketch #189! I'm trying it out in these fun colors from Just Add Ink #372!
I think maybe I was thirsty when I started putting this card together, lol. I'm not sure that these colors naturally lend themselves to cute mixed drinks, but I had refreshing and frosty on the brain,. and so just kept going! And by the time I got to my last drink, all that was left was my Tranquil Tide straw, lol. Wish there was some way I could insert that empty glass slurping noise here... Gross!

Today's cute layout is from Paper Craft Crew #255 - fun! I'm adding in these "summer salad" colors from As You See It #156, too!
So, I was DETERMINED to showcase another preview set today - here is Hug in a Mug, and I'm in love! I know we are currently experiencing everything Coffee Cafe, but hey, I'm all over yummy hot drinks for the holidays, lol. This set features three styles of mug, and all kinds of decor and toppings options. The details are SO FUN! It also of course has some yummy warm sentiments to match, too - just right!

What a celebration! Freshly Made Sketch rolled out their 300th layout today! WOW!
Seems like a great chance to preview one of our gorgeous new Holiday sets, Painted Harvest. This lovely collection showcases a few Fall themes of leaves and blossoms, and coordinates with the equally lovely Painted Autumn DSP - I tried to pick two fave sheets to show off today, lol... The set also coordinates with a fun new Leaf punch, perfect for quick cutting in class!
