 Such a fun theme from Paper Players #356 this week - the great outdoors! This week's High Tide challenge from What Will You Stamp #128 is perfect to go with! And wouldn't you just know - Stamp Ink Paper #111 has a beach challenge on - going for the triple! Probably the thing I like the most about this set is the wonderful memories it evokes of a family trip we made to Nova Scotia once - so can't wait to go back. We drove all over, lol, and one of our stops on the way to Lunenburg was Peggy's Cove, likely one of the most famous lighthouses in North America - it sure is in my mind! What a lovely day we had scrambling over all the rocks and getting sprayed by the salt water - and finishing up with a lobster claw feast near by, of course. A beautiful day for all of us...  Yummy! Check out Less Is More #340's tropical fruits challenge! I think I have a little idea that will work with Try Stampin' on Tuesday #334, too! So hopefully citrus qualifies as tropical, lol, because I couldn't wait to make some sparkly fruit slices for this one! Let's call it tangerine, Lime and blood orange, OK? I trimmed out the big swoosh to come closer to that lovely long curve, and realized I was going pretty clean and simple again - nice! I added a few Crushed Curry dots to keep the pretty flying leaf company! But I wanted to do something a little different, of course - how could I make it work in a different orientation?? Argh! So, a pet-themed browse through my stamp stash turned up my lovely Mediterranean Moments - this chubby kitty is posing just right for us! I have to admit, this card reminded me how much I missed our cat when we went road-tripping with the dogs this summer - though I think the cat had more fun, lol. I have to say, when I want to color a larger image with multiple markers, I'll roll my sleeves up first and settle in for the long haul! This set is a new catty runaway favorite for sure! I think Try Stampin' on Tuesday #333 will be a perfect layout for it, too! The irony of this post is that when it popped up in my queue, I had been designing for my Coffee Cafe focus class - but with a set like this, the possibilities are truly endless! One more was no problemo! I had fun playing with the DSP for this one, even using the framelit shape that fits the little coffee cup on there for a few of my details - I'd wanted to cut some of those out! This suite is so well-coordinated - you could almost just throw pieces of things on your desk and then just glue them down and come out with your finished card, lol... And I tucked a little pocket inside for a gift card, of course! It's also a good one to showcase how I "get my mojo back" for As You See It #155! I'm throwing in Retro Rubber #68's inspiration pic and colors, too - let's go for it! So, my number one way that I boost my mojo is with coloring and fussy cutting. I know, I know - my mojo must be pretty messed up, right? Lol. Seriously though. When I'm really stuck, I look for something to color, and once I start coloring I start thing about how cool it would look cut out all pretty, and before I know it, I have a card idea in my head and on the desk in front of me. Today's little example counts as coloring too, because I inked up my Take Care branch with markers! Then I had myself a time coloring in the nest and eggs, and snipping the whole shebang out - simple and beautiful! I'm combining today with Less Is More #339's piercing challenge, too! I was feeling citrus-y today - Trader Joe's had their lightly candied orange slices in produce this morning - YUM! So out had to come Lemon Zest when I git home, of course! These lemons are a natural pairing with Lemon Lime Twist and a leafy background.
