Mother's Day Tulips

I'm so excited that Make My Monday #174 has such a fabulous theme going - "springtime!"
I settled on tulips as a lovely banner of Spring - I used to LOVE seeing all my grandmother's bulbs coming up, it was like she painted with flowers!  I went for this gorgeous perspective sheet from the Flowering Fields DSP, love the rows headed off into the distance, lol.  At the last second, I decided to add a little windmill, why not, and finished with this simple Mother's Day sentiment.  I had cut out some fencing, and finally tucked it behind the sentiment, but not sure it shows up all that well.  Still fun, though!
Flowering Tulips & Tulip Fields Stamp Sets; Flowering Fields DSP; Petal Pink, Calypso Coral & Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Petal Pink & Calypso Coral Blends Markers; Windmill Fields Dies; Elegant Faceted Gems; #MMM174.

We have another scrummy recipe for you this week at As You See It #275!
I had to dig deep for this one - the Something Shiny was almost my undoing!  I was super excited to roll out the new Happier Than Happy suite for it - B is for Bear!  There were even some subtle colors in the DSP, thought I didn't choose the best sheet to show that, lol.  I tried to soften things more by adding a Timber-embossed background in So Saffron, some Soft Sea Foam trees, and my baby tag is in Pool Party.  Such fabulous dies!  Then I hit on some shiny gold ribbon to finish things off - mission accomplished!
I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our little cooking challenge - meet you at the challenge!
Happier Than Happy Stamp Set; Happy Forest Friends DSP; Basic White, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam & Pool Party CS; Crumb Cake Ink; Happy Forest Dies; Timber EF; Gold Shimmer Ribbon; Gilded Gem; #AYSI275.

We have a fun theme at this month's The Male Room #162 - SPORT!
I'm so excited for this challenge, because it gives me a chance to ink up my new Adventurous Journey stamp set - this kayaker is SO COOL!  I couldn't resist pulling in my retired Old World Paper EF to add some watery texture, and pop up a diorama layer for my boater to skim on top of - so many great layout opportunities with this one!
Adventurous Journey Stamp Set; Basic White & Pool Party CS' Early Espresso & Pool Party Inks; Mango Melody, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & SU1000 Blends Markers; Old World Paper EF (retired); Layering Diorama & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Faux Sea Glass Shapes; #TMR162.

Oo, this could be tricky!  For May, The Flower Challenge #68 wants us to use a number, too!  Hm...
I'll be honest - I almost skipped this one - searching current sets did not bring on any inspiration!  Then I thought to check my retired sets - and I pulled down my old Number of Years set that retired in 2018.  I have hung on to it because it goes with a matching alphabet, Letters for You, and everything has dies - win win!  I don't have too many sets that have numbers AND letters, so they've both stayed on.  And what do you know, Number of Years has flowers in it - that I've never used!  Problem solved!  I created this tongue-in-cheek birthday card for the next lady-friend I need to spoof, lol.  Too fun!
Number of Years Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Pear Pizzazz, Sweet Sorbet, Rich Razzleberry & Mango Melody Inks; Large Numbers Dies; Purple Glitter Dots; #TFC68.

Oo, we have such a lovely banner sketch for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #389!
I knew right away I wanted to break out my new patterned DSP - I have been waiting so long for our new stacks, and I love every single pattern!  I couldn't resist sneaking in a new In Color, too, so today's combo is a mix of Parakeet Party, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody - love it!  This also gave me a chance to try out my new Sending Smiles set - I've been a little anti-flower for the past few catties, but this one has several that are calling to me for whatever reason.  Such cute stems today!
I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our fun sketch - meet you there!
Sending Smiles Stamp Set; Calypso Coral DSP; Basic White & Parakeet Party CS; Calypso Coral, Mango Melody & Parakeet Party Inks; Sending Dies; Mango Resin Dots; #HSS389.

Wow!  Time Out Challenge #213 has the perfect theme for us - "on vacation!"
Well, OF COURSE I have to do something beachy - we just got back from Maui 3 weeks ago!  I do also love mountain vacations - Banff Springs, anyone??  But our annual trek to Maui is always a total reset for us, I have to say.  The ocean calls us, lol.  I was delighted today to combine my beloved Paradise Palms with the awesome background-building Oceanfront - what a match!  I even slipped in a new Deckled Rectangle die for my sentiment - I think I'll be using the heck out of these!  What a fun challenge - forever vacation mindset!
Paradise Palms & Oceanfront Stamp Sets; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Soft Suede & Pear Pizzazz Inks; Palms & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Elegant Faceted Gems; #TOC213.

Yum!  Hope you like our juicy color challenge this week at Sunday Stamps #283 as much as we do!
So I might be seeing things, but I was feeling like I'm seeing a few of our new In Colors in our spread this week, lol, so I am going for it!  How about a funny cactus collection?  I even pulled in a retired In Color, Seaside Spray, lol.  Anyway, I loved the look of these cacti stamped all together that I did it again, and had some fun fussy cutting away - so fun!
I can't wait to see your ideas for our colors - come join the fun!
Cactus Cuties Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Seaside Spray (retired), Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo & Starry Sky Inks; Sweet Sorbet Matte Decorative Dots; #SSC283.

Oo, here's a fun one!  Cardz 4 Guyz #295 wants to know what "D" is for!
After pulling a few "D" ideas, I settled on this fun set that retired last year, Hot Dog.  I'm always reminded of my Grandma's dog Pretzel when I look at this one - he was a good boy!  I decided he would look spiffy in some new In Colors, for a perfectly manly birthday card!  So many fun embellies for our new In Colors this year - I am THRILLED!  And don't Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky pair together beautifully??
Hot Dog Stamp Set (retired 2021); Starry Sky DSP; Basic White & Orchid Oasis CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Starry Sky, SU400, Mango Melody, Basic Black & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Tailor Made Tags Dies; Starry Sky Baker's Twine; Orchid Oasis Matte Decorative Dots; #C4G295.

Aw, such sweet "mommy" cookies at this month's If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #168!  Love them!
So, I went searching for mom and baby critter stamps - I did have a few choices, I admit.  But then, as I often do, I wondered about the chickens, lol.  Could I do something new there?  I've never made a Mother's Day card with this set, but I think almost all the elements are there!  So off I went, lol, and it was So. Much. Fun. As the chickens always are!  I finished us off with this cute sentiment from Happy & Heartfelt - just right!
Best of Cluck (retired 2006) and Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Sets; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; So Saffron, Daffodil Delight (this one was actually a Blendability, shh), Mango Melody, Real Red & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; #Cookie168.

Oh wow, the inspiration cupcake is SO CUTE this week at Cupcake Inspirations #543!  Love it!
I knew right away I would be using our new Cup of Tea set - so many awesome little tea details, lol.  I wanted to also do a play on the colors, but I wasn't really feeling the pink today, so I went with Fresh Freesia - so soft and pretty!  I put together some base layers using the Scalloped Contours dies; then stamped all my tea pieces on White.  I took my time die-cutting everything, a few fussy bits to keep track of, lol.  I then settled on this layout, and finished with a few brand new Fresh Freesia Opal Rounds - LOVE these in the In Colors!  I think this came out pretty enough to sip!
Cup of Tea & Daffodil Daydream Stamp Sets; Basic White, Pear Pizzazz & Fresh Freesia CS; Fresh Freesia, Pear Pizzazz & Daffodil Delight Inks; Fresh Freesia Blends Marker; Scalloped Contour Tasteful Labels & Teacup Dies; Fresh Freesia Opal Rounds; White Baker's Twine; #CIC543.
