I'm super stoked to have the chance to play at Freshly Made Sketches #466 - they're having an extra long challenge this month to close out the year! I'm psyched to get a chance to pull in one of my new sneaky peek sets - Sweet Ice Cream, which is, of course, part of a lovely suite! Stamp set, punch, paper, ribbon, "sprinkles" - everything we need for some cool treats, lol. I really wanted to show off some of the gorgeous DSP, and I totally had to break in my punch, too - how about a double-stack cone to go?? I managed to get a few of the tiny bright sprinkles around the sentiment, too - these are going to be great in a shaker! Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Purple Posy, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White CS; Blackberry Bliss, Purple Posy & Cinnamon Cider Inks; Ice Cream Cone Builder & Banners Pick A Punch Punches; Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles; #FMS466. We have some end of year fun over at The Library Challenge #74 - "anthology" time! We get to pick any cover from previous years to go for! I went all the way back to 2018 for The Hobbit! This is one of my hubby's favorite books, and series, really, so I couldn't resist taking a crack, with my Mountain Air set. I think my card follows the same general idea, and I tried to pick a fun font for the sentiment, though I also couldn't resist the one Tolkien quote I have, that came in my old Glamper Greetings set, lol. I kinda see Middle Earth, here! Mountain Air, Many Mates & Glamper Greetings (retired 2018) Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Night of Navy & Garden Green CS; Night of Navy, Garden Green & Versamark Inks; White EP; Majestic Mountain Dies; #TLC74. Very nice - CAS on Friday #195 is running a nice long challenge theme, "best wishes!" So appropriate for this season! I've decided to go out on a limb and NOT do a Christmas card {gasp} if I can remember how, lol. Fortunately, I have a nice little pile of pre-order goodies to work through to help me along! Today's winner is a Sale-A-Bration bundle Berry Blessings, with the Berry Delightful DSP pack - and it IS delightful! I settled on the blueberry stem from the stamp set, and just a smidge of the DSP to go with - so bright and Spring-y! But the best part was the sweet sentiment, just right for CASOF! I love it when a plan comes together! Berry Blessings Stamp Set (2021 SAB); Berry Delightful DSP (2021 SAB); Whisper White & Pacific Point CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pacific Point & Granny Apple Green Inks; Stitched Shapes & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Pacific Point Enamel Dots; #CASOF195. LOVE our festive colors this week at Fab Friday #204! I'm just not quite done with Christmas yet, lol. These colors do make me think of all the trimmings on a sweet gingerbread house - but no brown! Sigh. Then I hit on this range of cute trees, in all the funky colors - how fun would this be out in front of the house?? I added a tiny star to the top of each to make sure I emphasized every single color - sa-weet! Not sure why this card makes me giggle, but it does! So what will YOU create for this Fab color challenge? I can't wait to see - meet me at the challenge! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set; Whisper White, Shaded Spruce, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade & Seaside Spray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade & Seaside Spray Inks; Softly Falling EF (retired); Pine Tree & Twinkle Builder (retired) Punches; #FabFri204. I'm stoked I can just squeeze in for In{k}spire Me #437's "Christmas Stars & Snowflakes" challenge this week! I decided to go with snowflakes, myself, and I went browsing the retiring shelves for some good ones. I came across this beauty in my Tags & Trimmings bundle - the set makes these cute little stocking gift card holders/pillow boxes, but I love all the detailed dies for decorating that go with - like this snowflake! I did everything up super simple in blues, and just let the snowflakes sing - perfect for a last minute winter card! Tags & Trimmings Stamp Set; Whisper White, Misty Moonlight & Balmy Blue CS; Misty Moonlight Ink; Trim Your Stocking & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #IM437. Very fun - The Sisterhood of Crafters is closing out 2020 with an "Anything Goes Christmas or Winter" theme! Yay! When I think "winter,", I can't help but run to one of the gorgeous scenes in our still-available Feels Like Frost DSP - I love this paper so much! Here's a lovely snowy forest I pulled for today, and I decided to take our Dove of Hope for a spin to go with - so sad this is retiring! Anyway, I kept it super simple, and let the paper do the talking here... I added a subtle layer of shimmer to my dove with Wink of Stella - so pretty! Dove of Hope Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP; Whisper White & Rococo Rose CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive & Rococo Rose Blends Markers; Clear Wink of Stella; Detailed Dove Dies; #TSOCWinter. Oh wow, LOVE this color combo from Hand Stamped Sentiments #354! Gorgeous AND festive! I couldn't help but return to my Trimming the Town DSP for a pretty pattern in Misty Moonlight, though I think I've finally used up all of my snowflake papers. There's this great chalkstripe pattern, too, though, so I used it for a background for a gorgeous wreath in the remaining colors! Simple and classic, just like these colors! Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set; Trimming the Town DSP; Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Wreath Builder & Stitched So Sweetly Dies; #HSS354. Oh this is excellent - 52 Christmas Card Throwdown has a nice long challenge running this month - giving me time to play! As an added bonus, I get to pick any of their past challenges to do it! I didn't have to go back very far, lol, I'm going with their November sketch! I love tilty layers, and what a great chance to keep on using up the gorgeous scraps of my Heartwarming Hugs DSP! I did a pretty embossed background with my Tin Tile EF, and hand-snipped this curvy little wish from Itty Bitty Christmas. So cute! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set; Heartwarming Hugs DSP; Whisper White, Real Red & Crumb Cake CS; Real Red Ink; Tine Tile EF; All The Trimmings Embellishments; #52CCTD12-20. We have a perfect holiday sketch for you this week at Sunday Stamps #246 - though I can't help but think "any shape" too, shhh... OK, I'll compromise, how about instead of "any shape," we go with "any tree," lol. A pear tree, to be exact, with a cute little partridge perched in there, too! I can't quite let go of this cute set from 2014, Partridge & Pears, it's such a fun one to color! I'm always up to take the Blends out for a spin, lol, especially when I get to fussy cut at the end of it! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this one - see you at the challenge! Partridge & Pears Stamp Set (retired 2014); Classic Christmas DSP; Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Seaside Spray, So Saffron & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Silver Pearls; #SSC246. Aw, I'm sad to see that Joy of Sets #024 is closing the challenge - what a good run! These gals finally got me to embrace tic-tac-toes! I settled pretty quickly on the right-hand column - Glitter-Snowflakes-Boughs. That last one made me think right away of our gorgeous Feels Like Frost DSP, and its stunning photo-real sheets. I found one of these frosty pine branches that's just right! I went to check out the retired bundle that goes with, just to see what I could do for my other squares, and lo and behold, there was a little snow flake die in there, and this sweet sentiment in the stamps - perfect! I matched everything with some Shaded Spruce details, of course, and I'm all set. Thanks so much for the good times, JOS! Frosted Foliage Stamp Set (retired 2019)' Feels Like Frost DSP; Whisper White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Stitched Shapes & Frosted Frames (retired) Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #JOSTTT024. |
