 Another fun landscape sketch from this week's Match the Sketch #184. I think I'll add in these yummy colors from In{k}spire Me #308, too! At the last second, I've decided to add in What Will You Stamp #124's Daisy Delight challenge - perfect for these challenges! To get started, I decided to do some stripes in the brush-stroke style from Work of Art - this single stamp is one of my go-tos for this set! I next stamped a pretty and fluffy daisy and with Lemon Lime details and leaves - all a snap with the punch! I remembered I had a sequin mix that was Bermuda Bay-based from an old Paper Pumpkin, so I threw some of those on there, too. Quick and fun! I feel like all I did was follow a recipe, lol!  Today's sketch comes to us from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #329 - so spiffy! Since today ended being a review of leftover Paper Pumpkin parts, I decided to make an alternate card using the fabulous Sprinkled With Love kit! I have to say, this has been my fave kit in a long time, though I do find something to love about them all, I swear, lol. We made a set of 4 cards for my Pumpkin Club for this, so I decided one more for a 5-card Donut Set would be just right to sell on my craft table this Fall - yeah! Donuts for Thanksgiving will be perfect, especially a sparkly one - see how I had to take a bite already?? The stacked lines immediately made me think of our Thoughtful Banners set, and I knew all I needed to do was decide on a color scheme! How about a little something new, mixed with a little something old, for a little something fresh? I have to say, I really like this Tangerine-Lime-Bermuda mix - very cheery! I decided to choose a sentiment from another set, and since I wanted to use the dotty balloon from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, I picked this birthday cutie - perfect! I had to pull in Balloon Celebration to make the balloon outline for the envelope, but still, I think I came out pretty clean and simple! Personally, I am always super challenged by cards that are alternate shapes or dimensions - where to start? How wide, how tall? Will it fit in a standard envie, or should I make my own? Argh! Today, I decided to go with a standard envelope for my length, so I hunted for a stamp set to use that might lend to "tallness." Luck for me, I still had Text Ya Later standing by on my desk, waiting for its inky chance, lol - today was the day! At that point, the hardest part was picking the sentiments to use - and there's a lot to choose from! I kept this one fairly tame - but I'll be getting a little sassy very soon, lol... We have such a pretty sketch this week from As You See It #153 - and it has a funny back-story - make sure you go check it out, lol. So, today, I just really wanted to play with the Coffee Cafe set. I fiddled around a bit, and came up with using a folded back layer of DSP to denote that background border - I'm pretty pleased with how it worked out! I added a bit of a retired border punch to add a little detail, and then played with some of the stamps and framelits - so fun! I even rolled out that tiny tag - cuteness! I decided to pull in some of the new Foil Frenzy DSP for my background - it's featured on the same page in our catty as the stamp set. I love this cool foiled blue! That sent me towards matching and coordinating flowers on a simple scalloped tag. At first I had just the tag, but I quickly realized how naked it looked without a touch of ribbon, lol. Thank goodness the two-step flowers have a little tab that I can align - these would be hard to align without it! I decided that the way to go would be to use a long border-type stamp in photopolymer, that I could bend into a similar curve to the sketch. Enter Ready to Pop, lol! I rarely use this cute set, which is made to go with our popcorn box die, of course. BUT, it also has the requisite "long lines" to play with! I went with the pretty vine and decided to stamp in greens to go with it - still not quite as giant a curve, but still fun! I completed some of the shape with some Glitter Enamel Dots - who else hopes we start making those in every color?? I finally settled on using Always Artichoke as a feature color - that qualifies, right? Using Always Artichoke, made me think of Christmas, so I pulled out Christmas Pines and recreated the sketch with that - woo! I kept it pretty spare, but couldn't resist a little pine cone to go with my pine boughs - love those guys! This turned out to be a fun sketch fro the little details! I love when there's a nice wide open field to play in, like in this week's Freshly Made Sketch #294! The beautiful poppy colors of Color Throwdown #449 will go brilliantly! For these colors, I decided to go with Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso and Wild Wasabi, and I knew I wanted to focus on the green and brown and leave the tangerine for a "splash." As I browsed the shelves for a likely stamp set, I kept returning to my trusty Sheltering Tree. I am so thrilled that this set has enjoyed such a long run in our catty, and I thought a pretty tree with a bright bike could be the perfect scene! I have so enjoyed making bikes in every color my heart desires - I'm adding a tangerine one to my growing bike color wish list, lol... With those three central shapes to address, I decided to pull out my Bunch of Blossoms set. So far, I've only used the totally awesome sentiments in this one, but all the petal and leaf building has me intrigued! I'm not gonna lie - using the punch made for this set is a bit of a PITA, lol. It took me a bit to figure out the most efficient way to crank out some petals without using a ream of paper, but I think the end result is worth it! Good times!
