Yay! We want to see some hobbies this round at Make My Monday #208! Who else picks "card-making"?? OK, OK, lol, one of my OTHER favorite hobbies is baking! And I LOVE to bake for my stampers! This gets me baking at least twice a month, and I try to mix it up - cookies, cupcakes and other fun treats! Best of all, I am a paleo baker, so all gluten and grain-free, low dairy, no artificial sweeteners, and pretty low glycemic, too! We try not to break the bank with the treats around here, lol. So yummy, and so fun to share in class - less for me to eat, too - see how I am?? I can't wait to get a peek at YOUR hobbies this round - meet you at the challenge! Apron of Love Stamp Set (retired 2019); Crumb Cake DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake & Silver Foil CS; Early Espresso, Real Red & Crumb Cake Inks; Apron Builder Dies (retired); Iridescent Sequins; #MMM208.

I am THRILLED with Shopping Our Stash #503's new theme - hot, hot, HOT! So perfect for here in Arizona, lol., which way should I go? I decided to try something I've been thinking about for a while, lol. I combined Taco Fiesta with 2019's Bubble Over to make some hot sauce bottles! We always have a selection of 3 or 4 in the fridge here, lol. This sentiment seemed perfect to go with my little trio - I couldn't resist! I used a few different reds, because hot sauce comes in many colors, of course, and tried to play with the labels! And of course, all the lids are black, lol. Feeling a little hungry now... Taco Fiesta & Bubble Over Stamp (retired 2019) Sets; Real Red & Old Olive DSP; Basic White, Basic Black, Wild Wheat & Poppy Parade CS; Poppy Parade, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Real Red, Old Olive & Wild Wheat Blends Markers; Bottles & Bubbles Dies; Matte Black Dots; #SOS503. Yay! Time to bring the rainbow this round at Retro Rubber #213! I knew I had to pull my Rainbow of Happiness set that retired last year - I still have a bit of the awesome Sale-a-Bration DSP we had to go with it, the Sunshine & Rainbows pack! I picked this gorgeous stripey sheet for my background and envelope flap, and then created this little rainbow on our new Deckled Circles - LOVE them so much! I couldn't resist adding some clouds from my newly acquired Give It a Whirl dies (thanks, Joanne!), and then finishing with another little Deckled Circle for the sentiment. A few Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems add some bright spots of color! I can't wait to see what YOU create for our Rainbow Connection challenge - meet you there! Rainbow of Happiness Stamp Set (retired 2022); Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (retired); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Melon Mambo, Mango Melody (retired), Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Deckled Circles & Give It A Whirl Dies; Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems; #RRCB213. Oo, there's a great inspo list for this round's celebration of World Photography Day at Festive Friday #0140! I finally landed on my Calling All Heroes set from 2014 for a city-scape, my favorite one! I kept this card pretty sparse - I don't do just black and white very often, so I resisted the urge to add too much stuff, lol. I happened across this wonderful sentiment in my Parisian Beauty set - never notice it before today, and it happened to be shelved next to my other set, lol. Funny how that worked out! A few tiny rhinestones finish things off! Calling All Heroes (retired 2014) & Parisian Beauty (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #FF0140. I'm super excited about Shopping Our Stash #502's theme - it's "vacation destination" - real or imagined, lol. So fun! I'm actually combining old and new stash items for this one, lol. When I spotted the Above It All stamp set in our upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog, I KNEW it had to be on my pre-order! I instantly also knew I wanted to pair it with my beloved-but-retired Enjoy The Journey DSP! This combo is the spitting image of one of our FAVORITE vacations, over Christmases to Banff Springs, Canada! We love it there so much, and haven't been able to get back since COVID, sigh. My fearless husband and daughter love to ski there at the Sunshine Ski Resort (not me, lol) and I usually ride up to the ski village to meet them for lunch on the amazing gondola, lol. Such a view! They go all the way up top the Continental Divide - I would be SO chicken to do that! Anyway, SUCH good times! Above It All Stamp Set; Enjoy The Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana & Versamark Ink; White EP; Above It All Dies; Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems; #SOS502. Snow in August 2023 Woo hoo! You know I love to celebrate Christmas all year long, and this year it will be snowing in August! We'll be making 6 cards with envelopes, with such fun new sets to check out! Wear your jingle bells! Class includes all supplies (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks, drinks and a special gift from me all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is set for Saturday, August 12, at 2 pm! RSVP now to save your spot! I'm really liking the tropical feel in this round's colors at Cupcake Inspirations #574! On a hunch, I checked my newly-arrived Masterfully Made DSP pack for the colors - SCORE! There was this beautiful sheet of torn edges in Lemon Lime Twist, and a band of Azure Afternoon on another that worked perfectly! I did all my layers in Deckled Rectangles to go with the torn edges, though I couldn't resist a go with the spiral notebook edge die in the Gorgeously Made dies, too, lol. So cute! I went a little tilty, and added this pretty leaf sprig in Lemon Lime Twist, too, and stamped my sentiment in more Azure Afternoon. Simple and bright - just right! I finished with some White sequins, but they're kind of hard to see, hm... Gorgeously Made Stamp Set; Masterfully Made DSP; Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Azure Afternoon Ink; Gorgeously Made & Deckled Rectangles Dies; White Sequins; #CIC574. We have the perfect fill-in-the-blank for you this round at As You See It #304 - who doesn't have SOMETHING they love about summer?? For me, what I love most about summer is the travel! The beach is good, or mountains, or theme parks - it's ALL good! Today I decided to break in my new Beach Bound set from Newton's Nook, which I acquired after winning a challenge at Time Out Challenges! What a great way to dabble in different sets! It even has dies! I set my station wagon in these lovely Melon Mambo mountains, which we have to cross before any beaches come along, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR favorite summer plans - meet you at the challenge! Beach Bound Stamp Set (Newton's Nook); Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight & Blueberry Bushel Blends Markers; Horse & Sleigh Dies; Orange Baker's Twine; Solid Faceted Gems in Melon Mambo; #AYSI304. I am super excited to guest design for this round of Time Out Challenges #243 - check out that pretty inspiration pic! Hope I can do it justice! Sometimes I find these interiors tough to interpret, but this one really spoke to me! It's clearly someone's creative space, with fun tools in easy (and tidy) reach! The colors are soft and feminine, too. Which led me to this fabulous color wash sheet from our Bright and Beautiful pack - doesn't it look like that curtain? I pulled out my Crafting Forever set to fill in some images, and spotted this perfect sentiment and jar of brushes. As I was coloring and fussy cutting, a scrap of the reverse of the DSP fell across my "curtain," and I went with it because I loved the look! So pretty! Crafting Forever Stamp Set (retired 2020); Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; 20 random Blends Markers, with details in Fresh Freesia & Bubble Bath; Stylish Shapes Dies; #TOC243. We'd like a peek at your aperture cards this round at Make My Monday #205 - let's see some windows! The very first thing I had to do was go out and try and figure out what an "aperture card" is, lol. I'm interpreting it to mean any time we create a window for the main design to be peeking through. Just to be safe, I also decided that my "window" should be cut from a full card front, so as not to be confused with a frame, lol. I'm sure I made it far more complicated than it needed to be! In the end, I came up with this simple window cut with our Countryside Corners dies, into a beautiful shaded blue sheet from our retired Sun Prints DSP. I stamped inside the window with Nature's Prints, and then decided to heat emboss and lift the sentiment on the same DSP. Such a pretty effect! I emphasized my window with some White Baker's Twine, and finished with a few Classic Matte Dots - hope I'm on the right track! I can't wait to see YOUR windows of goodness this round - meet you at the challenge! Nature's Prints Stamp Set; Sun Prints DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Night of Navy, Versamark & Crumb Cake Inks; White EP; Countryside Corners & Layering Circles Dies; White Baker's Twine; Classic Matte Dots in White; #MMM205. We're bringing in the brights this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #418! With the Granny Apple and the Poppy going on, I couldn't help but return to my strangely compelling Hello Kiwi set, lol. For whatever reason, I am just smitten with these quirky images! I did a fruit extravaganza today, lots of kiwis and this time some raspberries thrown in, too! This set is also fun to stamp off with, too - the two shades for both colors add so much interest! This time, I used the eponymous sentiment, lol, stamped on a scrap of Coastal Cabana and just sliced off on the ends - quick and easy! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Hello Kiwi Stamp Set; Coastal Cabana DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green & Poppy Parade Inks; 2" Circle Punch; Matte Black Dots; #HSS418. Critters Class 2023 We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! Time for a critter round-up! We'll be making 6 cards with envelopes, and NO fur, lol. Class is on for Saturday, July 15, at 2 pm! RSVP now to save your spot! |
