What a great quote we have to inspire us this round at Time Out Challenges #261! Love it! My favorite crafty quotes are still the ones from our Crafting Forever set from 2020 - so many goodies! I wanted to match it up with something else, though, and since my beloved Zany Zoo will be retiring TOO soon, I decided to check that awesome DSP for something likely - don't they have a crafty critter sheet in there? Turns out, they SO do - check out this knitting llama - isn't she adorable?? I had a hard time choosing between her and the painting hedgehog, lol. Anyway, I played with some Nested Essential dies, too - I'm loving the angles I've gotten here! My kind of llama! Crafting Forever Stamp Set (retired 2020); Zoo Crew & Lemon Lolly DSP; Basic White & Petal Pink CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake Blend Marker; Nested Essentials & Zany Zoo Dies; Lemon Lolly Baker's Twine; Lemon Lolly Solid Gems; #TOC261. Time for another NBUS #61 - I ALWAYS have a stack of stuff to use! Today I get to try out my new Under the Moon set - no sentiments, which I usually don't go for, but OH the images! This is another cool scene-builder type set, that features a lovely huge moon over some water and island scenes, with some pretty clouds, too! I sort of CAS'ed a card front in the new catty to get started with this one, and experimented with my coloring here - so much we can do with sponge daubers! I started by inking up the whole stamp in the lighter color, then added touches of the darker color with a dauber - loving the effect I got! I kept it all simple from there by just doing a topsy layer thing - so easy with the smaller layers! Under the Moon & Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Sets; Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Coastal Cabana, Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight & Calypso Coral Inks; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #NBUS61. Oh, yum! The inspiration cupcakes at this round's Cupcake Inspirations #591 look DELICIOUS! They make for a cool color challenge, too, lol. These colors were a total gimme to use my beloved A Little Latte DSP, and of course, the Latte Love stamp set, too, lol. I can practically smell the mocha brewing! I did a fun layout with my blue cups cut from the DSP, and used this coffee splatter scrap to good advantage, too! I love how this sentiment fits perfectly inside this stitched banner from our old Tasteful Labels dies, too - so buttoned up! Latte Love Stamp Set; A Little Latte DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Latte Love & Tasteful Labels Dies; Swirl Dots; #CIC591. New Catty Preview Class April 13 at 2pm! There's a really cute corner sketch at AAA Cards #262, I think I can keep it CAS, too! I decided to use some pretty DSP - and I still have a lot of my Countryside Inn pack to get through! Good thing it's carrying over this year, lol. Anyway, I also wanted to use a cute sentiment from Perennial Postage - I was a bit shocked to see that this set is on the retiring list, though the dies are staying at least, whew. So many pretty sentiments in this one, and almost all mixed fonts! The card came together pretty quick, and I added some dimension, just because, and finished with a few Navy Enamel Dots - simple and pretty! Perennial Postage Stamp Set; Countryside Inn DSP; Basic White & Boho Blue CS; Night of Navy Ink; Night of Navy Enamel Dots; #AAA262. New Catty Preview Class April 13 at 2pm! I love the inspo list at this round's Festive Friday #156 - for Earth Day! I looked over the list to get an idea, and then went tree hunting! When I spotted Plant Hope from 2010, I knew this was the one - such a perfect sentiment for Earth Day! I ended up choosing the little bonsai tree for my image as more fun to color, and I pulled this gorgeous woodgrain sheet from my Country Woods DSP pack. A bit of Linen Thread adds a touch of twine, and I still have these Opaque Faceted Dots in Pecan Pie! So that gives me neutrals, woodgrain, twine and trees - not too shabby! Plant Hope Stamp Set (retired 2010); Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake & Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Linen Thread; Pecan Pie Opaque Faceted Dots; #FF0156. We have some lovely inspiration pictures for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #435! I focused on those cute rainboots with flowers, mostly because I remembered I had a rainboot image somewhere, lol. After a bit of a dig, I found it in my March 2020 Paper Pumpkin set - Spring Splash! Yes! The grassy insert the set had reminded me of our new upcoming DSP called Thoughtful Journey - another fresh and lovely watercolor style that you'll love! I used this fun thistle sheet, and promptly covered most of it up with my boot - oh well! I couldn't resist this sweet sentiment from Timeless Arrangements to go with, at least! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with from our inspiration board - meet you at the challenge! Spring Splash Paper Pumpkin (Mar 2020) & Timeless Arrangements Stamp Sets; Thoughtful Journey DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Peach Pie, Mossy Meadow & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Peach Pie Shimmer Gems; #HSS435. Cool! Cupcake Inspirations #589 has a color challenge for us this round! Orange and blue - my old high school colors! Go Spartans! So, I didn't go very West Springfield High today - I went STELLAR! Lol, it was SO fun to pull in my Stargazing DSP to make an imaginative space scene - I so love all the different colored planets and backgrounds to choose from! I even used Blueberry Bushel today - one I use the least, for sure, but this made my card closest to Spartan colors at least, lol. Good times! Reach For The Stars Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Blueberry Bushel Ink; Reach For The Stars Dies; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #CIC589. Ahhh, so happy to see our Spring flowers theme this round at Retro Rubber #226! I was thrilled today to pull out my STILL all-time favorite tulip set Tranquil Tulips from 2018 - even without dies I can't let this beauty go! I decided to go with my favorite purples, too, since it's all about me today, lol. I found some fun papers in my old Flowering Fields DSP pack, and had some fun playing with shapes! Our most recent Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin had the perfect sentiment, too, so cute! I can't wait to see YOUR retro ( at least one year old!) Spring flower projects, too - meet you at the challenge! Tranquil Tulips (retired 2018) & Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Stamp Sets; Flowering Fields DSP (retired); Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz (both retired) & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Nested Essentials Dies; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #RRCB226. We have a Spring theme for this round's Make My Monday #221 - weather, flowers, critters - whatever! It has been FOREVER since I had out my Playing in the Rain bundle - and these guys are perfect for Spring! I decided to go for this puddle-jumping bunny, he's so naughty, and I threw in some just-retired Sunny Days SAB paper - I used the heck out of this one! It was quick work to add just a few touches of color, and finish with some Fine Sparkle Gems - this is totally Spring on a card, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our Spring theme - meet you at the challenge! Playing in the Rain Stamp Set; Sunny Days DSP (retired); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bubble Bath & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Playing in the Rain & Stylish Shapes Dies; Pool Party Fine Sparkle Gems; #MMM221. I'm excited today to play at a new-to-me challenge that is right up my alley! It's anything goes this round at Critter Crazy Challenges #83! Yay! This is my chance to ink up another Online Exclusive preview - this cute kitty is from the Pets & More set! It has 5 cute critters in it, and all of them (plus a few accessories, lol) are REALLY symmetrical, for reverse stamping that works like a charm! I stamped the detail side of my kitty first in Black, then flipped him over and added some stamped off Smoky Slate to fill in his colors! I couldn't resist added a dot of Berry Burst for his nose, too, lol, I do like to be matchy-matchy! He needed a Berry Burst fishie, too! Still, this is pretty super-CAS for me! Pets & More and Happy Labels Stamp Sets; Basic White & Berry Burst CS; Berry Burst, Memento Tuxedo Black & Smoky Slate Inks; #CCC83. |
