Goodness, check out these little monster cupcakes at this round's Cupcake Inspirations #580! I think I can JUST squeak in! Today I went for a scary cup of coffee, lol - I have always LOVED this sentiment in the Merry Cafe set from 2017! I combined it with my newly acquired stash of Frightful Sight DSP - don't you wish you could get cups like these out and about?? Lol. I also stuck on this little "Happy Haunting" flag using the still-awesome Banner Year set from last year - very good Halloween advice, lol. Merry Cafe (retired 2017) & Banner Year (retired 2022) Stamp Sets; Frightful Sight DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Gray & Cajun Craze CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Coffee Cups & Tasteful Labels Dies (both retired); Black & Silver Baker's Twine; #CIC580. I have to chuckle at AAA Cards #251's graphic this round for "anything spooky goes," so adorable (but spooky!) I decided to pull out our old Jar of Haunts set that retired in 2016 - this jar full of floating eyeballs is hands down the spookiest stamp I have, lol. Ewww! This was such a fun add-on set for our beloved Jar of Love bundle, lol, I just couldn't resist! I kept it pretty ultra-CAS - black and white details, with just some touches of color for the eyeballs, lol. I did add a little black and silver baker's twine I found in a drawer, and finished with some Matte Black Dots. So spooky! Jar of Haunts (retired 2016) Stamp Set; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Shaded Spruce, Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight & Pool Party Blends Markers; Everyday Jars Dies (retired); Black Matte Dots; #AAA251. Lol, I was able to re-arrange some things so I could get in on this round of Festive Friday #145 - which is all for Halloween! Looking over the inspo list, I was really attracted to the "witch" ingredient, so I pulled my Spooky Fun set that retired in 2016 - I think this might be the only witch I have, lol. It also has a moon - score! I started going through my Halloween stash of things, and ended up sort of throwing lots of elements on there - I think this card came together a little wonky as a result, lol, but I'm a warts-and-all kind of stamper - you even get to see my weird ones! I started with a black base that embossed with my old Spiderweb EF, and ran some Delicata Silver over it. I thought this sparkly black ribbon might do as well. After building my witch scene, I remembered I still had some spider trinkets, so I doctored one of those to add on, too. This turned out to be a real Halloween mish-mash, lol. Spooky Fun Stamp Set (retired 2016); Basic White, Basic Black & Daffodil Delight CS; Delicata Silver & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Daffodil Delight Blend Marker; Spiderweb EF (retired); Halloween Scene Edgelits (retired), Layering Diorama & Stylish Shapes Dies; Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon; Spider Trinket; #FF0145. I had to chuckle at the name of Shopping Our Stash #507's challenge this round - they want to see a "franken-card," lol. Halloween, coming right up! I first went to my newly-acquired stash of Halloween DSP - today's choices are from the Ghostly Greetings pack from I think 2008! I love the color combos in this one! I matched it up with Spooky Sweets from 2018 - we can never have too many bats! I did a simple layout that let me show off TWO sheets of DSP, and finished with a few Iridescent Pearls - love these, too, lol. Spooky! Spooky Sweets Stamp Set (retired 2018); Ghostly Greetings DSP (retired); Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Iridescent Pearls; #SOS507. For the month of October, If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #185 wants us to use BLACK! So spooky, lol! For this one, I had to hit the retired shelves - I don't have the current set! I pulled Spooktacular Bash from 2019 - still one of my favorites, lol, especially with those Ornate Frames dies! I found some old batty paper from the Ghostly Greetings pack (SO old, lol) and stamped up this handsome fellow. I gave him a Cherry Cobbler edge to his frame, and also cut one of the fancy ones to float him over, and stamped the sentiment in Cherry, too. I figured a vampire's accent color should be blood red, right? A little Cherry Cobbler twine and few drops of blood (tee hee) and we are all set! Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set (retired 2019); Ghostly Greetings DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Cherry Cobbler Blend Marker; Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Heavy Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots; #Cookie185. Class is on for Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! Hm, I'm a little bit past the spooky day, but Make My Monday #186 would like to see some Halloween Colors this round! I still have this old Paper Pumpkin stamp set from September of 2019 - Bone Appetit. The dancing skeletons in this one are too hilarious to let go! I haven't used them yet this year, so I figured a quick trio in spooky colors would be just the thing! Circle punches make everything OK! Bone Appetit Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set (Sep 2019); Basic White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie & Granny Apple Green Inks; 1 1/2" & 1 1/4" Circle Punches; Matte Black Dots; #MMM186. They sure have some spooky cuties at this round's Cupcake Inspirations #555! It didn't take me but a second to realize that those cupcakes were totally channeling our old Cookie Cutter Halloween set from 2016! So cute, lol. I decided to do a takeoff of a classic "inchies" layout, so I could get everyone on there! Our Stylish Shapes Dies were perfect! I used this distressed sentiment from the Boo-tiful Bags Paper Pumpkin - can you believe THAT'S from September 2014? I really had to dig today, lol! Cookie Cutter Halloween (retired 2016) & Boo-tiful Bags (Paper Pumpkin Sep 2014) Stamp Sets; Celebrate Everything DSP; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Matte Black Dots; #CIC555. I'm thrilled to join in for Shopping Our Stash #481's "frightfully delightful" challenge, lol - BOO! As soon as I saw them call out skeletons (among other creepies, lol) I KNEW I had to pull my old Mr. Funny Bones from 2016 - I still love this guy! He's the best build-o-bones set we have, complete with several bone-y sentiments, lol. I did a basic upright skeleton today in Black, with Pumpkin Pie accessories - he's headed out for some fun! Don't get your humerus bent out of shape, now, lol. Mr. Funny Bones Stamp Set (retired 2016); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Iridescent Pearls; #SOS481. We're closing out October with a fill in the blank challenge at As You See It #286 - "The spookiest thing on Halloween is always..." In my neighborhood, the spookiest thing on Halloween is the Haunted House some of our neighbors put together every year! They go all out, and it starts at the curb and goes all through the house to the back yard! Always so much fun - they must also have the spookiest storage unit ever, lol. Anyway, today's card celebrates their all-new scary fencing and gravestones in the front yard - I can't wait to see what's inside! I'm looking forward to YOUR scary projects, too - meet you at the challenge! Spooky Fun Stamp Set (retired 2016); Basic White, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black & Basic Gray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive & Gray Granite Blends Markers; Halloween Scenes Dies; #AYSI286. They have some super cute Halloween cookies to inspire us over at this month's If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #173! All these characters together reminded me of our spooky set from 2019, Spooktacular Bash. I'll be honest - my favorite thing about this set was the awesome Ornate Frames Dies, lol - I still use these cuties! I decided to build a portrait gallery of friends together - and the perfect sentiment to go with, lol. I only added a touch of color - couldn't resist, with these fun cookies! Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set (retired 2019); Basic White, Basic Black & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Versamark Inks; White EP; Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Spiderweb EF (retired); Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Basic Black Twine; Matte Black Dots; #Cookie173.
