Such a sweet sketch this week at In{k}spire Me #528 - I'm letting the color challenge that goes with it slide, lol. I feel like I'm doing terrible at color challenges these days! In an effort to play other stamp sets besides my current favorite coffee set, lol, I turned to Bright Skies - those beautiful clouds are perfect for the sketch! I even still have a bit of the SAB paper still for it, so I fussy cut two particular fancy clouds I wanted for my card front! I really liked this encouraging sentiment, too, and then I finished with a few bright gems. Quick and pretty! Bright Skies Stamp Set; Sunny Days DSP; Basic White, Basic Gray & Pool Party CS; Basic Gray Ink; Banner Triple Punch; Iridescent Pastel Gems; #IMC528. Thank You Cards 2024 Class March 9! We have SUCH a pretty sketch for you this round at Sunday Stamps #330! With all these pretty layers, I knew I wanted to show off some pretty DSP! My Perennial Lavender pack is still getting quite the workout, lol, and this led me to pulling in my Perennial Postage set to go with! I had fun dressing up ALL my layers over some Blackberry Bliss, and I didn't do anything extra to my background layer to keep it from looking too busy with that fancy DSP, lol. I SO love purple! I doctored up my Deckled Rectangle to get it just the right size for the sentiment - that big swoopy "always" is a little hard to cover! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty projects for our wonderful sketch - meet you at the challenge! Perennial Postage Stamp Set; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Crumb Cake CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Burlap Ribbon; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #SSC330. Yum! I'm loving our plum cozy colors at this round of Sunday Stamps #329! Today I needed a super quick (and super simple!) card to send out to a friend who just got some bad news. Don't you just hate to hear about that? I wanted to send a little note of encouragement along, and it just happened to fall on our color day at Sunday Stamps! What a challenge! I decided to keep thing fairly stripped down, and brought in Delicate Forest, which has WONDERFUL sentiments for giving a friend a hand up! I stamped off a tiny bit of stem-scape for the background, then did two layers of these pretty stems in two of our colors. The sentiment floats above in a third color, and I finished with some Solid Gems. I still have time to make the mail, I think! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our pretty colors - meet you at the challenge! Delicate Forest Stamp Set; Basic White, Pecan Pie, Blackberry Bliss & Moody Mauve CS; Moody Mauve & Pecan Pie Inks; Delicate Forest Dies; Solid Gems in Pecan Pie; White Baker's Twine; SSC329. Yay - I love our pretty sketch this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #431! With all those cool elements, I knew I wanted to show off some DSP! What better one to showcase than our beautiful Perennial Lavender? I chose this neutral background for my gorgeous lavender field columns, then laid a few brushed up twigs behind my sentiment. I added some shades of purples over my various greens after I diecut them - I really like the effect! And of course, I finished with some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems - yum! I can't wait to see YOUR beautiful projects with our fun sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Perennial Postage Stamp Set; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia & Pretty Peacock CS; Versamark, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather & Blackberry Bliss Inks; White EP; Painted Lavender Dies; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #HSS431. Get your blender brushes ready - we'd like to see a Winter Blue Ombre this round at Retro Rubber #223! This was a tough one for me - I have to put right out there - I think I'm rubbish at ink blending, lol. I gave it a good go, though! I decided to blend over a mask, and this fractured design from 2022's Plenty of Patterns is one of my favorites! All the blue had me thinking nautical, so I went with THIS favorite from 2015's Adventure Awaits, and stamped an anchor on my envelope from 2022's Sailing Home to go with (no naked envelopes!) I do like how this came out! I can't wait to see YOUR ombre projects, too! Meet you at the challenge! Adventure Awaits (retired 2015) & Sailing Home (retired 2022) Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel & Azure Afternoon Inks; Blending Brush; Circles Collection Dies; Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks (retired 2022); Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #RRCB223. Such a pretty theme at this months Aloha Friday Challenge #6 - "all that glitters is gold!" Since I still have some new sets that need inking up, I decided to break in my Painted Lavender suite today - but I finished with gold details! I chose a simple DSP sheet for my background, then floated this stem and lavender combo over one of our old Gold Hoop Embellishments - I still love these things, lol. I inked up the lavender part in Fresh Freesia and then went over it with a little Blackberry Bliss, too. I added this little sentiment from Perennial Postage as well, and finished with some Gilded Gems - which I ALSO still love! They just have such a heavy gold tone to them, just right with that hoop! Hope this is enough gold to glitter! Painted Lavender & Perennial Postage Stamps Sets; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Shaded Spruce, Fresh Freesia & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Painted Lavender & Perennial Postage Dies; Gold Hoop Embellishment; Gilded Gems; #AFC6. Birthday Cards 2024, Jan 13 at 2 pm! I'm so excited to show off some new sets and suites from our 2024 Spring Mini Occasions catalog - and there's some beautiful birthday cuties in there! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is ON for Saturday, January 13, at 2 pm - RSVP today to save your spot! So nice - Time Out Challenges #248 has a cancer awareness theme this round - there's even a "digi" we may use if we like! I thought I'd give the digi a try, such cute critters, but then I couldn't get it printed onto cardstock, lol, so I punted! I ended up combining this sentiment from Something Fancy with the Timeless Arrangements dies, along with a fussy cut Ribbon of Hope. Just a quick little arrangement all in Calypso Coral and Petal Pink! I even found some Calypso Coral linen Thread for one last extra detail. I'm really pleased by how this came out - such pretty and fine details! Something Fancy & Ribbon of Hope (retired 2012) Stamp Sets; Les Shoppes DSP; Basic White, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink CS; Calypso Coral Ink; Timeless Arrangements Dies; Calypso Coral Linen Thread; Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems; #TOC248. Christmas Cards Part 2, Oct 14 at 2pm! That's right - you can never have too many Christmas cards! We'll be making 6 more designs to celebrate the season, all from our Holiday Mini Catalog! Class includes all supplies (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks, drinks and a special gift from me all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! With a new month, we have a new challenge from If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #183, who wants us to go mainly neon this round! I knew right away when I saw this color challenge that I wanted to use my Stargazing DSP - so many bright colors in that one! I opted for some "neon" planets against a bright solar background sheet, and finished with some tiny silver stars - oops, maybe I should have called this "silver stars," lol. Oh well! I did a set of Blue Foil rings for my medium planet and used my favorite sentiment in Berry Burst. It's bright enough for ME! Reach For The Stars Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP; Basic White, Berry Burst, Blue & Silver Foils CS; Berry Burst Ink; Reach For The Stars & Radiating Stitches Dies; #Cookie183. Let's head out to the Final Frontier this round with our space travel theme at Make My Monday #206! I've been waiting for this challenge to get here, so I could finally play more with my Reach For The Stars stamp set - I've been using the heck out of the DSP, but I haven't really explored the image stamps yet. I couldn't wait to stamp up this space shuttle, and I wanted to add some color details to match the awesome cosmic paper! I think NASA really needs to start adding some Berry Burst racing stripes to theirs! I can't wait to see YOUR space-faring projects for this round - meet you at the challenge! Reach For The Stars Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP; Basic White, Lemon Lolly & Berry Burst CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Berry Burst & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Blender Brush; Berry Burst Blends Marker; Reach For The Stars & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #MMM206. So fun - Can You Handle the Pressure would love to see something nautical this round! Hearing "nautical" sent me straight to my On The Ocean set - love the possibilities with this bundle! I also couldn't help but pull out my retired Waves of the Ocean DSP, too, lol - I think this crazy heat (even for us!) is driving all my thoughts to the sea! I added a Balmy Blue layer over my DSP, that I embossed with our new Twisted Rope EF, so love it! I think I might have covered it up too much, though, lol. I tucked in my ship and some clouds, too - stormy out there! On The Ocean Stamp Set; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White & Balmy Blue CS; Pacific Point (retired) & Gray Granite Inks; On The Ocean & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Twisted Rope EF; Blender Pen; Rustic Metallic Dots; #CYHTPNautical. |
