Yay - it's time for Pumpkin Day again over at MPC0616-All About the Guys! This week I'm also using this sketch from TGIF #59! I can't seem to get enough of this new In Color, Dapper Denim! I think it's perfectly named, because I think of it as a very comfortable blue, lol. Today it seemed just right for a little stenciling background for my Layered Letters "Dad" - another comfie word, lol. Make sure to stop by My Pumpkin Challenge - we love seeing your ideas! Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin; plus, Layered Letters Stamp Set; Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim & Whisper White CS; Dapper Denim & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; White Jute & Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbons; Dapper Denim Enamel Shapes.

I'm really liking As You See It #136's "Dad" theme! AND, I have an idea for combining it with this bright color scheme from TGIF #58! I have to admit, as soon as I put these two challenges together, ALL I could think about was these crazy tropical print Jams my Dad had at the beach one year - his were bright orange (his favorite color, lol) with black tropical flowers on them, but I think this pair does those justice, lol. They were THE cool swim trunks to have when I was a kid, and we had all pooled our money to get them for him, not really believing he would wear them. Well, you know dads - we saw those Jams for years to come! Coolest Dad ever! Flower Patch & Layered Lettered Alphabet Stamp Sets; Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight Inks; Black Stampin' Write Marker; Black Grosgrain (retired); Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight Candy Dots (retired, sigh); Paper Crimping Tool. Let's Get Messy Class June 11! OK, gang, time to get inky! Our June class will feature four fun techniques I've been saving for a hot summer day! And warning: they might get a little "messy!" In this case, the messier, the better! All the projects will also feature exciting new goodies from the new catalog, too! I sure hope you can come get messy with me! (OK, I promise it won't be so messy that you end up actually WEARING your creations, unless you really want to, lol!) Class will be for four cards, and will include all supplies needed, plus snacks, drinks and a little treat from me, all for $20! You can also have class for FREE with an order for $25 or more! This class is still on for Saturday June 11 at 3 pm. RSVP today so I can be ready for you! So excited to kick off our June My Pumpkin Challenge, MPC0616 - All About the Guys! I'm combining it with this fun sketch from Can You Case It #122! So, ironically, the CYCI sketch seems practically BASED on one of the card styles in this manly kit. so what the heck, let's run with it! I'm also squeezing in one last blast of retired stuff - farewell my Botanical Gardens DSP - I hardly knew ye! Lol. Seriously though, this card celebrates that today is MOVING DAY for all the lovely retired stuff into the Room of Retirement, because - NEW CATTY OPENS TODAY! WOO HOO! Check the links on the right side of the blog page to start those shopping engines racing! (And yes, I've already placed MY first order, lol! Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin; plus, Botanical Gardens DSP (retired); Mossy Meadow CS (retired); Memento Tuxedo Black & Hello Honey (retired) Inks; Stars Framelits; Confetti Stars Punch. I like this fun sketch from Match the Sketch #126! I want to combine it with the masculine CAS theme over at Watercooler Wednesday #69, too! For going all manly, I knew I had to pull out Guy Greetings, and I LOVE mixing that one with the now retired Adventure Bound DSP stack - so many cool prints in there! After that, it was all a matter of picking out patterns and textures, and mixing and matching for the right combo with the stamps! I started with the hats, but wound up on the shoes, so of course, I have the "no one else could fill your shoes" sentiment on the inside, too, (with the strong dude!) This card ended up fitting that bill perfectly, and let me get to play with stamp set that I don't pull out enough to boot! Let's face it, when you love your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (SAMJ), you love sets like this!
