So, the luck of the calendar has landed me on a combo for my design teams today! As You See It #313 is a speed challenge with a theme of stars, while this round of Sparkles Christmas Challenge #155 would like to see holiday animals or birds! Yikes! After some careful digging, I decided to pull my White Christmas set from 2014 for this one - I remembered the tiny cardinals in this one, with everyone looking at the sky - I knew it wouldn't need a lot of color! I figured I could plan this pretty well, too - go ahead and assemble materials and papers, mount all my stamps and open all the inks - I even opened my Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to be ready to go! It also helped that I already had the deckled rectangle cut - I'm accumulating quite a few extras in the die sleeve these days! Once I was prepped, I started the clock! First I ran and embossed my background, then I sat down and stamped out my scene, all in Black. I had Blends standing by, then brushed on a swoosh of two-way glue to take my glitter. I set that aside for a sec and stamped my envelope, AND got the inside sentiment, too! Quick assembly and I was done! I think this is one of my best times ever - 4 minutes & 56 seconds! Yes! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this one - meet you at the challenges! White Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2014); Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Daffodil Delight & Pool Party Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Two-Way Glue Pen; Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #AYSI313; #SCC155.

Very cute - Shopping Our Stash #510 is called "splish, splash," because they want us to use a water medium! Fun! It just so happens that I recently rediscovered my old Pigment Sprinkles Watercolor Crystals in a drawer, digging for something else of course, lol. It occurred to me they would be perfect for this challenge, so I dusted them off and gave it a go! I chose the little Granny Apple Green vial, and saturated a piece of Watercolor Paper to sprinkle on. So much fun to watch the color bloom! I swirled around a bit with my Water Painters and then heat set, because I'm not patient enough to let something AIR DRY, lol. This is also a fun way to chase water beads across the paper for added streakiness - love this look! I cut a panel from this for my background, and went with last year's Spruced Up set to finish with some holiday details. I feel like I mixed up ALL the greens for this one! Spruced Up Stamp Set (retired 2022); Merry Bold & Bright DSP; Basic White & Watercolor Paper CS; Lemon Lime Twist & Real Red Inks; Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles; Spruced Up Outlines (retired) & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Pretty Peacock Tinsel Gems; #SOS510. We have such a wide-open sketch for you all this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #428! This is our last challenge of the year, too, so make sure to jump on it! This sketch just cries out for some gorgeous DSP to show off, so I couldn't resist pulling in a sheet of our beautiful O Holy Night pack - love all the starry sky and desert landscapes in this one so much! I matched it with last year's (but still current!) Hope & Peace stamp set - so many great sentiments in this one! I think this is the one I've used the most, too, lol. I added a few of our old Adhesive-Backed Stars for a bit more sparkle, too - still love the shape of these! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our lovely sketch - meet you at the challenge! Hope & Peace Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Copper Clay CS; Night of Navy Ink; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Adhesive-Backed Stars (retired); #HSS428. We have some fun festive colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #323! With these muted colors, I decided to finally pull out my Shop The Town set, lol. I actually bought this in reflex because it goes along with the Let's Go Shopping suite, which I already had. I've always had a little fascination with buildings in stamp sets! But this one had me stumped - I have to admit, there are definitely some stamps in this one I'm not sure how I'll use - it might take me some time to decipher! For today, I went with that pretty outdoor tree, and doctored up the arch to be taller to go over it. And I had to have the carolers, too - of course! I also love this sentiment! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our cozy Christmas colors - meet you at the challenge! Shop The Town Stamp Set; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; SU900, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Pecan Pie & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Silver Pearls; #SSC323. This should be interesting - For If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #186, the color is white this month! Yikes! I decided to combine white with some sparkle, and created this lovely glittery scene with the glorious Forever Forest dies! I finally got to use that pretty mountain line, which was the big reason I wanted this set in the first place, lol. I set my snowy mountains along the bottom, then tucked in and added some beautiful firs cut from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper - what a job! I'm really loving the look, and I added this sentiment from Above It All to go with, along with a few tiny silver pearls. Pretty! Forever Forest & Above It All Stamp Sets; Basic White & Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer CS; Smoky Slate Ink; Forever Forest Dies; Silver Pearls; #Cookie186. So happy to be back again for the second "add a hat" post at Christmas Craft Creations! I just love this theme! For today's hat card, I decided to go for some well-dressed snow people, lol, and there's no cuter than in our lovely Snowman Magic set from last year! So many choices! I put together a lovely snow-couple finally, I just can't resist that fashionable "Breakfast at Tiffany's" number she has, and of course, her date had to be maximum dapper with a top hat! I floated them over some flocked Snowflake Vellum, to set the scene, and then added this pretty snowflake frame you can make with the dies - I think this is their Christmas portrait! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with hats - see you at the challenge! Snowman Magic Stamp Set (retired 2022); Snowflake Specialty Vellum; Basic White, Basic Black & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party & Lost Lagoon Inks; Lost Lagoon & Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Snowman Dies (retired); Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems; #CCCNovember2023. Time for another tic-tac-toe at this round's Retro Rubber #220! As soon as I saw the "snowman" square, I knew I wanted to do one of the rows that would include THAT, lol, so I chose the center column of snowman-pattern paper-tag! I was so excited to pull out my favorite snowman set of all time, 2009's Snow Buddies! I LOVE the delicate line art in these cuties! Since it doesn't have sentiments, I paired it with this fun one from last year's Framed & Festive - looks perfect on my Tailor Made Tag! I chose this snowy sheet from my old Storybook Gnomes DSP pack, which set the colors in the blue range - so pretty for snowmen, lol. I can't wait to see how YOU play this tic-tac-toe round - meet you at the challenge! Snow Buddies (retired 2009) & Framed & Festive (retired 2022) Stamp Sets; Storybook Gnomes DSP (retired); Basic White, Balmy Blue & Blueberry Bushel CS; Blueberry Bushel & Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pool Party, Blueberry Bushel & Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Tailor Made Tag Dies; Fine Sparkle Gems; #RRCB220. The holidays are approaching, and we want to see your wreaths at Make My Monday #214 this round! I went straight for my Wishes All Around bundle for this one, and today I paired it with the gorgeous Joy of Christmas DSP! I opted to go for just some layered die cut wreath from the dies, and floated this pretty and classic sentiment over them - I never get tired of this look, lol. I added some Iridescent Discs for a bit of bling, and finished with a simple gold cord bow! I can't wait to see YOUR wreaths for this one - meet you at the challenge! Wishes All Around Stamp Set; Joy of Christmas DSP; Basic White, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist & Real Red CS; Versamark & Real Red Inks (inside); White EP; Wishes All Around Dies; Banners Pick a Punch; Iridescent Discs; Gold Cording Trim; #MMM214. Such a cute theme they have for us this round at Cupcake Inspirations #582 - "home sweet home!" I knew just what I wanted to pull for it, too - the cute little cottage in the last Paper Pumpkin kit - Home For The Holidays! I decided to do two, colored up like the cuties on the cupcake pic, THEN I made their setting, lol, a little backwards today! I blended up a night sky over a torn piece of paper for my "hill," in Misty Moonlight. I wanted it to be a little brighter, so I went back over the edge of it in Blueberry Bushel. I didn't like the Pumpkin sentiments for this one, so I pulled my old Hearts Come Home set from 2019 for this one. There was even a Santa sleigh in it for my sky! I tried a moon and stars in Delicata Silver, but they really don't show well enough, so I finished with some Snowflake Sequins. Pretty cute, I think! Home For The Holidays Paper Pumpkin & Hearts Come Home (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel, Delicata Silver & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Bubble Bath, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie & Balmy Blue Blends Markers; Snowflake Sequins; #CIC582. We're continuing the holiday spirit with a Christmas theme this round at As You See It #312! Time to jingle! I really had the coloring bug today, lol, so I went to my Shelves of Retirement and pulled the still lovely Bright Baubles set from 2021! These pretty ornaments are SO fun to color, and look how cool it looks floating over a panel of Lemon Lime Twist embossed with my just-acquired Christmas Tidings EF! I kept my big bauble front and center, lol, and finished with a few Sparkle Gems - can't believe I almost missed these beauties! I can't wait to see YOUR Christmas projects this round - meet you at the challenge!
