Woo hoo! The Flower Challenge #85 has an "anything goes" challenge this round, BUT, it's their birthday! I think I know what I'll be doing, lol... I wanted bright and exuberant blooms for this one, so I went back to my In Bloom bundle, that retire in 2022. I just love these dies! So many combos we can do with them - I chose three main colors for the flowers, Daffodil Delight for the centers, and just went to town, lol. When I was done arranging everything, I tucked in some fun stitched leaves, too! This happy card is sure to bring a smile to someone! In Bloom Stamp Set; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight; Versamark, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight Inks; White EP; Pierced Blooms & Stylish Shapes Dies; Timeworn Type EF; Sweet Sorbet Pearls; #TFC85. Oh gosh - I've been dreading this day, lol! Here we are at As You See It #310 to show you our favorite things to do with vellum! One of my favorite things to do with vellum (and, shh, I'm actually not a huge user of vellum, lol) is to use it to create a floating panel over gorgeous DSP! Anything that helps me show off that pretty paper is a win, lol. In this case, I pulled out some beautiful (but retired) Feels Like Frost DSP to serve as the background for two of the wreath dies from our new Wishes All Around bundle - so many fun ways to use this one! I layered the snowflake ring in Silver foil over a vine wreath of Purple Posy, and crossed all that with the pretty sentiment. I love that I can still see the sense of the DSP behind the vellum, yet I have a focal panel for my wreaths, too! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty vellum projects, and hear all about your favorite ways to use! Meet you at the challenge! Wishes All Around Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP (retired); Basic White, Vellum, Purple Posy (retired) & Silver Foil CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Wishes All Around Dies; Banners Pick A Punch; Purple Posy Faceted Dots (retired); #AYSI310. I had to chuckle at the name of Shopping Our Stash #507's challenge this round - they want to see a "franken-card," lol. Halloween, coming right up! I first went to my newly-acquired stash of Halloween DSP - today's choices are from the Ghostly Greetings pack from I think 2008! I love the color combos in this one! I matched it up with Spooky Sweets from 2018 - we can never have too many bats! I did a simple layout that let me show off TWO sheets of DSP, and finished with a few Iridescent Pearls - love these, too, lol. Spooky! Spooky Sweets Stamp Set (retired 2018); Ghostly Greetings DSP (retired); Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Iridescent Pearls; #SOS507. So excited by the great combo at In{k}spire Me #516 this round! Love these colors! I was coming up crickets with what images to do with these colors, lol, so then I started wondering if I had any fun DSP in them - this is what I came up with! I have been loving the Masterfully Made pack as a source of quite a few oddball colors that I don't have anywhere else! And I finally cut into my last sheet of this retired Cherry Cobbler plaid today, too. They look so good together over the Timber-embossed Crumb Cake! I went with this belated birthday sentiment from Something Fancy, and finished with a few Crumb Cake Enamel Dots. I think this makes a great masculine card - yay! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Cherry Cobbler (retired) & Masterfully Made DSP; Basic White, Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake CS; Pretty Peacock Ink; Timber EF; Something Fancy Dies; Crumb Cake Enamel Dots; #IMC516. We have a fun slanty sketch for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #425! I decided to try out another new Christmas set for this one - I got it to make tags with, but this image works for cards, too, I think! This is the Gift of Giving set, which has three jolly main images, all super fun to color! You know I'm all over that! I stuck pretty tight to the sketch, and pulled in my Merry Bold & Bright DSP pack again, too - love that stuff! I had to reorder my tiny banner, since my image already had the sentiment, but I'm really happy with this! I can't wait to see YOUR fun projects with our tilty sketch - meet you at the challenge! Gift of Giving Stamp Set; Merry Bold & Bright DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, Crumb Cake & Pebbled Path Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Iridescent Discs; #HSS425. So excited to play again at Inspire Create Challenge #153 - and they'd like to see a Fall or Halloween theme this round! I naturally turned again to our gorgeous All About Autumn suite for this one, lol - I just can't get enough of this DSP! I did a simple split layout - not a division I use too often, and then laid a couple pretty leaves over it. The sentiment was a cinch with the little banner shapes included in the dies, too. I even still had enough copper ribbon left to throw on there, and I finished with some Wild Wheat Glossy Dots. I like how this one came together - I really didn't have a plan before starting, lol. Autumn Leaves Stamp Set; All About Autumn DSP; Very Vanilla, Copper Clay & Wild Wheat CS; Copper Clay & Wild Wheat Inks; Autumn Leaves Dies; Copper Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #ICC153. So lovely! We have a fabulous landscape sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #320! This seems like a perfect chance to show off a simple layout for the gorgeous new Night Divine bundle, and paired with the O Holy Night DSP! The stamp set is a collection of glorious nativity sentiments, in beautiful flowing fonts, and the dies are spectacular - all the pieces you need to build a lovely stylized scene! I didn't show half of what I could use on this card! I selected this desert landscape for my background and shortened the stable walls to fit it all in our layout, topping off with the smallest sentiment, lol. Love it all, every bit! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun landscape sketch - meet you at the challenge! Night Divine Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy & Crumb Cake CS; Night of Navy Ink; Night Divine Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SSC320. This will be fun - AAA Birthday #54 wants us to use our favorite colors this round! I really wanted to play with some critters today, and I wasn't sure I could find anything I could use for my favorite colors - green and purple - if I did, lol. A really crazy chicken? Then I spotted the bike-riding gator in Zany Zoo, and knew it was all good, lol. I also realized I could finally safely use one of the black and white patterns on the BACK of all the cute critter sheets in the DSP pack - I don't actually have any ballerinas in my life, lol. So I cut a strip of this sheet and used a blender brush to add Berry Burst for my purple. I colored my gator with BOTH lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green, and added a few Berry Burst details to the bike. At the last second I embossed the white panel with the retired Dot To Dot EF - looks like gator skin to me! I'm so happy with how cute this came out! Zany Zoo Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Berry Burst Inks; Granny apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Crumb Cake, Basic Black & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Zany Zoo Dies; Dot To Dot EF (retired); Berry Burst Tinsel Gems; #AAAB54. Ah ha! For the month of October, If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #185 wants us to use BLACK! So spooky, lol! For this one, I had to hit the retired shelves - I don't have the current set! I pulled Spooktacular Bash from 2019 - still one of my favorites, lol, especially with those Ornate Frames dies! I found some old batty paper from the Ghostly Greetings pack (SO old, lol) and stamped up this handsome fellow. I gave him a Cherry Cobbler edge to his frame, and also cut one of the fancy ones to float him over, and stamped the sentiment in Cherry, too. I figured a vampire's accent color should be blood red, right? A little Cherry Cobbler twine and few drops of blood (tee hee) and we are all set! Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set (retired 2019); Ghostly Greetings DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Cherry Cobbler Blend Marker; Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Heavy Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Matte Dots; #Cookie185. Christmas Cards Part 2, Oct 14 at 2pm! That's right - you can never have too many Christmas cards! We'll be making 6 more designs to celebrate the season, all from our Holiday Mini Catalog! Class includes all supplies (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks, drinks and a special gift from me all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! Oo, this will be a challenge! AAA Cards #250 would like us to "ink-blend" three or more colors! I have to think about how to keep this CAS! I decided to keep all my blending along one edge, so I could keep a nice open field of white - I think we had another challenge here like this, now that I think about it, lol. Anyway, I chose some contrasting colors, and went to town, kind of in a colorful evening sky kind of way! I decided to stick with silhouette images in Black, and did a partial of this cute row of firs from Forever Forest. Since this set has no sentiments, I went with this one from Above It All - Christmas-y without actually SAYING Christmas, lol. A few tiny coordinating matte dots finishes things off. Pretty low-key, but with a nice splash of color! Forever Forest & Above It All Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Orchid Oasis, Daffodil Delight, Real Red & Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Blender Brushes; Orchid Oasis Matte Dots; #AAA250.
