![]() We have some fresh summer colors for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #442! I always struggle with colors in the pastel range, lol, and today was no exception! I tried three different ways to make them work for Country Birdhouse, but I just didn't like it, lol. Then I spotted my new You Are Beautiful stamp set on my desk - I almost forgot this came in a couple days ago! With the pretty swooshy leaves and beautiful sentiments, how could I resist? I kept it all really simple - my favorite sentiment right in the middle, simple stamped and stamped off leaves and accents... I finished with a few Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems to match the sentiment, and a pretty botanical strip of DSP for the envelope. Problem solved! I can't wait to see YOUR lovely projects in these fun colors - meet you at the challenge! You Are Beautiful Stamp Set; Petunia Pop DSP; Basic White CS; Petunia Pop, Summer Splash & Daffodil Delight Inks; Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems; #HSS442. ![]() Summer Fun Card Class July 13! I struggled with this combo as well! I made three or four different designs before I settled on the one I posted. I was planning on reaching for this exact same set if the last card I made didn't suit me! I love what you did with this beautiful set. The scripture sentiment definitely deserves to be the star of the show and I think you served it right by keeping the stamping simple. Very effective! It all worked out in the end!

I too struggle with pastel color but you did a great job with your card. I love how you used the sentiment as the focal point and how you used the foliage images to frame it. Thanks for sharing!
