 Such a fun focal sketch at this round of Try a Sketch on Tuesday #694! This colorful sketch took me a bit to breakdown: seems like some kind of border or frame is called for, I finally decided. Then I need 3 of something in the middle. Finally I started wondering what border or frame dies I might have to simplify things, and I remembered the beautiful pine border die in Winterly Treetops! Then I could use birds in the middle! So that's just what I did, lol. I started with an all-over background in the neutral Crumb Cake pattern, then added a quick pine frame in Shaded Spruce. I chose these three birds for my feature, thinking they might be the least Christmas-y, lol. In that vein, I chose this nice long sentiment for the bottom. So maybe a loose interpretation of the sketch, but I think still visible! I can never get tired of these sweet birds, anyway, lol.
