![]() With impeccable timing, In{k}spire Me #552 is here for a New Years' challenge! Let's do it! I knew right away I wanted to pull out my beautiful Light the Sky bundle for this one - these fireworks are just amazing! I fit three different bursts on my black background, then pieced different colors behind them to really light up the night! It's really effective, I think! I then did up my New Year's sentiment to go with, and finished with a few Balmy Blue Iridescent Pastel Gems - just the right amount of extra sparkle! Happy New Year, everyone! Be safe! Light the Sky Stamp Set; Basic Black, Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Light the Sky & Nested Essentials Dies; Balmy Blue Iridescent Pastel Gems; #IMC552.

![]() Time for a trip down memory lane - we want to see your favorite challenge from this past year at Make My Monday #242! After a peek at this year's past challenge, I went with #222 - Transport! It's perfect for showing off our latest upcoming Online Exclusive - Adventure Together! This stamp bundle comes with cute dies to go with the camper and camping accessories, lol - check out that tire tread! I couldn't resist pairing it today with my beloved Enjoy the Journey DSP, AND doing it up in fun bright colors! What a sight a Melon Mambo camper would be! I can't wait to see what challenge YOU choose from this past year - meet you at the challenge! Adventure Together Stamp Set; Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Melon Mambo Inks; Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate & Pool Party Blends Markers; Adventure Together Dies; Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems; #MMM242. ![]() What a fun challenge to close out the year! SU Only #366 wants to see "all that glitters!" I decided to combine the gorgeous Season of Elegance DSP with some Champagne Glimmer Paper and see what happened! I set up a lovely neutrals-with-gold background with the DSP and then cut five Forever Forest Pines from the glimmer paper to build my little landscape. It came out just as I hoped! I heat embossed this perfect sentiment from Decorative Trees and finished with some Gold Sparkle Gems. It ALL glitters today, lol! Decorative Trees Stamp Set; Season of Elegance DSP; Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake & Champagne Glimmer CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Forever Forest & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Gold Sparkle Gems; #SUOC366. ![]() OK, I love the idea behind this round of Shopping Our Stash #537 - it's called "my precious," and no, it's not an LOTR thing - they want us to use something we've been hoarding for too long! Since we're still in December, I decided to do a Christmas card - I love doing these all year round, but really, December is my high season! I pulled out some super oldies for this one - my "precious" is these gorgeous Snowflake Elements embellishments! These delicate laser cut wooden beauties were released I think in 2014 or 15, and I loved them so much! These are my very LAST 5 - I'm finally letting go! I floated them over my favorite sheet of Country Woods DSP, and also added a sentiment from my favorite Christmas Sentiment set - Tin of Tags from 2016! Such a playful mix of phrases and fonts! I couldn't resist finishing with some Pearl Berries for a little shine, and I LOVE how it came out! Now I won't want to mail this card next year, lol... Tin of Tags Stamp Set (retired 2016); Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Snowflake Elements (retired) & Pearl Berries; #SOS537. ![]() So lovely - In{k}spire Me #551 is rounding out their month of holiday themes with "Silent Night!" One of my favorites! After some thought, I decided to tap our lovely Shepherd's Care set for this one - they have their own line in the carol, after all! This time, I kinda CAS'ed a Stampin' Up! sample - I was really interested to try adding color to the image this time! After my Blends, the Water Painters are my favorite coloring tool! It was sweet to add gentle washes of color to select areas - I think pretty effective, too! It definitely evokes the song for me, too... Shepherd's Care Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake & Misty Moonlight CS; Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive & Crushed Curry Inks; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #IMC551. ![]() So glad for a chance to play one last time this year at FarmQuest Challenge Blog #66 - this round is for things found in barns! I thought I had a tractor, but I don't seem to anymore, lol. And I feel like I've used my hay bales set before at FQ, so I went hunting for something fresh, lol. When I spotted Gathered Wheat, I thought, they keep wheat in a barn, right? If nothing else, there used to be threshing barns, right? Hope so! Because I'm going for it, lol! I did this simple design of the big fancy wheat bundle, over some pretty Crushed Curry plaid. I also added details in what else? Wild Wheat! I cut the single sprouts from that, and added a few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots - looks perfect! Gathered Wheat Stamp Set (retired 2022); Plaid Tidings DSP (retired); Very Vanilla & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Daffodil Delight & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Wheat Dies (retired); Linen Thread; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #FQCB66. ![]() We have a sweet landscape sketch from Inspire Create Challenge #183 today! I totally have to do a Christmas card TODAY! It's the big one! I knew for today's card I wanted to go back to last year's Night Divine Bundle, along with the O Holy Night DSP that came out with it - such a perfect suite! It will always be in my top five suites ever, lol. Anyway, I built my background from some pretty patterns from the papers, and then created a mini Nativity on my Deckled Rectangle: A simple heat-embossed sentiment in Gold, my Holy Family below, and finished with a few Star Trinkets - everything we need! So sweet to make this scene for today - be blessed my friends, and dwell in His peace! Merry Christmas! Night Divine Stamp Set (retired 2023); O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White, Copper Clay & Gold Foil CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Night Divine (retired) & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Pecan Pie Center Stripe Ribbon; Star Trinkets; #ICC183. ![]() For Christmas Eve, we have this fabulous paneled sketch from Sketch Saturday #766 - love it! Blocky sketches like this are such a great chance to show off fun DSP - I always gravitate towards that, though I guess I like to bend the "shapes" concept pretty hard just as much, lol. ANYWAY, today is all about the Take a Bow DSP pack - it just gives and gives! I'm still smitten with these happy patterns, and what a great setting the layout made for a bold definitive "Be Merry" command, lol. Perfect! And of course, little Peppermint Dots go with every sheet of this paper! I floated all my DSP over a bold layer of Real Red, that I embossed with our Christmas Tidings folder. I swiped over it with some Silver Delicata to bring out the patterns a bit more, too! So go to, my friends - Be Merry, this day and always! Christmas Labels Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Real Red & Delicata Silvery Shimmer Inks; Christmas Labels Dies; Christmas Tidings EF; Peppermint Dots; #SS766. ![]() Yay! In{k}spire Me #550 is all about Rudolph! Woo hoo! I actually don't have too many deer sets, and I didn't get the cute one that came out this year - argh! So I browsed back through my older Christmas sets, and came across Dashing Deer from 2020. There were even already some pretty deer diecut from our Pewter sheets in the die folder! Sold! I went for this pretty simple design, laying him over this gorgeous wintry forest from our One Horse Open Sleigh DSP pack - I still love this pack SO MUCH, lol. I then heat-embossed this sentiment over Cherry Cobbler (to match the nose, lol) for a bit more of a color pop. I'm really happy with how this came out! Dashing Deer Stamp Set (retired 2020); One Horse Open Sleigh DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler & Pewter Metallic CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Detailed Deer Dies (retired); Festive Pearls in Cherry Cobbler; #IMC550. ![]() Yay! Time for another challenge at NBUS #69! I have lots of new toys to show, too! For today's big reveal, I went with an upcoming online exclusive, called Cake Celebrations! It's lots of fun, cake builder stamps, plus frosting and decor, AND dies, too! I started simpler today, and stamped and stamped off this Pretty In Pink cake with some highlights onto a Pecan Pie cake stand. I added some candles, and built the sentiment above. I think this set coordinates beautifully with the upcoming Wildflower Birthday DSP from the coming-soon Spring Mini catty, too! So I picked my pretty background sheet from that, and pulled in one tiny diecut from the specialty sheets in that pack, too! A few Gold Textured Dots seemed like just the right finishing touch, too! Cake Celebrations Stamp Set; Wildflower Birthday DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Pecan Pie, Pretty In Pink & Lemon Lolly Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Gold Textured Dots; #NBUS69. |
