Getting close to the big day! So we want to see your quickie CAS Christmas cards at Make My Monday #267! One of the best ways I know of to save loads of time on making dramatic cards is to pull in the gorgeous DSP! And I have JUST the thing in our glorious Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP - see all the gold foil accents?? This sheet is my favorite one for drama, though I do like the White background sheet similar to this one, too. It took no time at all to assemble my layers, stamp and die-cut my easy sentiment from Traditional Labels, and tuck in a couple leafy sprigs from Christmas Greenery! This super-suite has EVERYTHING you need, right down to the glittery sequins, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU come up for our quickie challenge - meet you at the challenge! Traditional Labels Stamp Set & Dies; Traditions of Christmas DSP; Basic White, Secret Sea & Pool Party CS; Secret See Ink; Christmas Greenery Dies; Traditional Sparkling Sequins; #MMM267. Now THIS is festive! Festive Friday #199 is for National Candy Cane Day! I knew right away I was pulling my beloved Sweet Candy Canes set from 2022 for this one! I wish I still had some of the DSP, too, but I managed without, lol. I started with this stripey background in our now-retired Take a Bow DSP, then I stamped both candy canes in the coordinating colors with that pack - Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Garden Green. I spent some time deciding how to arrange them, then added the candy cane sentiment over them. At the last second, I decided to tuck in the little leaves in both greens behind, and I finished with some Traditional Sparkling Sequins. This is so cheerful - just like candy canes! Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set (retired 2022); Take A Bow DSP (retired); Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Garden Green Inks; Candy Cane & Stitched Shapes Dies (both retired); Traditional Sparkling Sequins; #FF0199. One of my FAVORITE kid sets, that I actually don't get to use too often, is 2022's Brave Vikings! I think this was originally a Valentine's set, but it has some other sentiments in it, too, so I went with this cute birthday phrase! I love the dragon ship and this stout Viking so much, I decided to do a stacked layout, with this sentiment in between - I love how it came out! I had a blast coloring all my images with my Blends, then getting in some fussy cutting. They looked great over my old Painted Textures EF, and I finished with some Bronze Metallic Dots! Brave Vikings Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; SU1000, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Cherry Cobbler & Azure Afternoon Blends Markers; Painted Texture EF (retired); Bronze Metallic Dots; #SOS562. Christmas Roundup is set for Saturday, December 20 at 2 pm - RSVP to let me know you're coming! We have some lovely midnight Christmas colors this round at As You See It #363! Since I'm still not ready to stop making Christmas cards, that's the way I leaned for this one, lol. I got to thinking that I could totally make these colors work for my jacketed mice - all cozy for caroling! I think they came out adorable, and I dug out the "jingle bells" sentiment from my old Alpine Adventure stamp set! I tied on some Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim and added some Low Profile Sparkle Dots just because this is what I had in the right color, lol - good thing it's cute! I can't wait to see what YOU do with our wintry colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Caroling Mice (retired 2022) & Alpine Adventure (retired 2018) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Night of Navy Inks; Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim (retired); Mossy Meadow Low Profile Sparkle Dots; #AYSI363. Christmas Roundup is set for Saturday, December 20 at 2 pm - RSVP to let me know you're coming! Check out these gorgeous wintry cupcakes to inspire us at Cupcake Inspirations #632! Time to "let it snow!" Our gorgeous Snowflake Kisses bundle seemed like the perfect set to pull out for this one, and I got to use the awesome background die for extra drama! Then I realized my envelope was naked - that's not allowed! So I made a little stencil with a few of the single snowflake dies, to blend on the envelope with a brush. I went ahead and added the stencil snowflakes to the background, too - there's snow everywhere! I finished with a few silver Faceted Snowflakes to add some little points of light! Extra snowy! Snowflake Kisses Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Misty Moonlight & Pool Party Inks; Blender Brush; Faceted Snowflakes; #CIC632. Woo hoo! Since it's December, that means it's SANTA time! And If You Give Crafter a Cookie #211 wants to see the big guy on our cards this round - yay!! I went through my Santas to find a good one for today - and came across last year's Saint Nicholas! When I open it all up, I found some beautiful and classic Santas that I must have cut from the DSP that went with it - Traditions of St. Nick! I chose this one with the wreath - he was favorite from there, and he let me set the Mossy Meadow tone, too, lol. There were some tag scraps in there, too, so I did this old-timey mailbox background for him to stand against, to also go with the sentiment! It all came together beautifully! Saint Nicholas Stamp Set (retired 2024); Traditions of St Nick DSP (retired); Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Gold Textured Dots; #Cookie211. So excited that CAS on Friday #323 is for Christmas! Yay for the most wonderful time of the year! I think that our lovely Woodland Scenery is the perfect CAS stamp set - you can do as much or as little as you like, and it's so striking with bold color on white! I started with a Cherry Cobbler cabin, which I masked so I could add some trees around it in Early Espresso. Some Pool Party snow, a Pecan Pie deer - there was just enough room for this simple scripty Noel from Wishing You Joy, too! I put on three tiny Loose Snowflakes, but you can hardly see them, shhh! Woodland Scenery & Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, Early Espresso, Pecan Pie & Pool Party Inks; Loose Snowflakes; #CASOF323. Now this is a GREAT color challenge - In{k}spire Me #576 wants to see a PINK Christmas! Not sure what's up with all the donuts, though, lol. I decided to play with my Delicate Pines bundle today - with all the ways to build pine-y snowflakes, I thought it could be fun to do them all in pinks - and I was right! I pulled Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush for my pinks, and got to work! First up, a couple larger snowflakes for the background, then some diecuts to tuck behind my sentiment so cute! I tousled on some Copper Thread, too, and then finished with a few Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls. So darling for pinks! Delicate Pines Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White, Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink & Strawberry Slush CS; Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink & Strawberry Slush Inks; Copper Thread; Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls; #IMC576. Yum! Check out our gorgeous aurora colors at this round of Sunday Stamps #375! I knew RIGHT AWAY that I'd be dipping in to our gorgeous Light & Wonder suite for this one - have you SEEN that DSP?? I tried to show off as much of that beautiful paper as I could, while still pulling in one of the perfect scene setting dies - today I went for a stunning tree line! It also helps that so many of the papers coordinate with my beloved Blackberry Bliss - LOVE that color! A few Frosted Iridescent Dots are the best finishing touch! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our bold colors! Meet you at the challenge! Light & Wonder Stamp Set & Dies; Lights of Aurora DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Versamark & Blackberry Bliss Inks; White EP; Frosted Iridescent Dots; #SSC375. Wow, so much gorgeous Christmas inspiration at Hand Stamped Sentiments #477! I couldn't resist that handsome Western Cardinal in the inspo - he's saying, Look at me! I am darling! Feed me! Lol, I am such a sucker for saucy birds, lol. Anyway, that of course means that my Winterly Tree Tops suite has to come out, and the Nests of Winter DSP that went with it is still in my Top 5 all-time favorites! I started with a pretty birch background over Shaded Spruce, then added the pine frame from the dies, and tucked in this sweet couple from fussy cut from the DSP. The sentiment is actually from the Nests of Christmas Paper Pumpkin that coordinated with this suite - I keep it in the same case because I'll never part them, lol. Some bright berries finish things off! Nests of Christmas Paper Pumpkin (Oct 2024); Nests of Winter DSP (retired); Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Winterly Tree Tops Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Berries (retired); #HSS477. |
