I love this angled layer at Freshly Made Sketch #250! Looks like a great DSP feature opp to me!
The paper I'm most excited about just now is my new Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP. Can you tell what my fave sheet is? Lol. The whole suite is just yummy is shape and color! I had some fun coloring in the big ornate paisley and snipping it out - oddly, there isn't a scalloped paisley shape in the thinlet set, though teh largest paisley will fit around it. But I'm always game for a bit of fussy cutting, lol!

Here's a cute sketch from Stamps, Ink Paper #23! I'm so excited to match it with Nacho Average Challenge #168's colors! Yum!
So, with this color combo, you know I headed straight to my Into the Woods DSP! I knew I wanted to use this pretty painted background, and I had a piece of Old Olive already stamped with our old Woodgrain background stamp that I used for my tag. A little leafy action, a touch of aqua-painting, and we are home free! And all in my favorite colors, ahhh, life is good!

Here's another awesome sketch from Create With Connie & Mary #381!
I tried to think of today's sketch in terms of what could be going on in the background - how about a tree?? Sheltering Tree is one my all-time favorite stamp sets, I have to admit. All the right little bits for ANY season, lol. I popped out my usual tree accessories onto the circles instead of flowers. Don't you just have to have a Cucumber Crush bike now?? I'd definitely give thanks for that! This was a fun one to put together, especially since we don't really get turning leaves here in Arizona. The cacti don't really change colors, lol.

Fresh Forest Friends

I really like the tiled layers at this week's Freshly Made Sketch #212!
Since I'm pretty much all-Christmas-all-the-time right now in my studio, I think I'll take this chance to squeeze out another Thanksgiving card, lol. That totally means Thankful Forest Friends gets to come out and play! I'm slowly using up every last scrap of my favorite sheets from the Into the Woods DSP I like to pair it with, too. Sob. I had fun snipping out the little critters, and I also decided to piece my sentiment with Endless Thanks, to make it fit my banner better. I really like how it came out!

COOL sketch at Nacho Average Challenge #167 - I think it will go awesome with our fun color challenge over at Fab Friday #77! Let's toss in Stamp Ink Paper #22's Free for Fall theme, too!
First order of business was to find a circle I could make work for this sketch, lol. Thankfully, I had the scallop circle in the Circles Collection framelits on hand, whew. After that it was just a matter of finding various elements in the right colors! I love this DSP, and when I hear "Fall," I just can't stay away from my Vintage Leaves set, lol. This turned out to be a fun and quirky card!

Holiday Gifts Class 2015 on Nov 12 & 14!
Yay! I'm so glad it's finally time for our final holiday class of the year - my annual holiday gifts and packaging class! It's an eclectic mix of my remaining holiday faves, but all ready for your last minute gifting emergencies! Time for a fun sketch from Retro Sketch #188! And I think I'll make this another triple, too - twice in one week has to be a record for me! So, I'm also adding Can You Case It #93's fall theme, and Sunday Sketch Challenge #113's colors are perfect to go with!
I landed on a Acorny Thank You to carry all my challenges this time - I love making dressy little acorns! It's like I get to pick a hat for Thanksgiving instead of Easter, lol... I added a few more coordinating details with Into The Woods Elements and Soft Suede Candy Dots (how is it I have two open packs of Regals Candy Dots, but ZERO Island Indigo ones? I don't even like Island indigo that much, shh.) I think I've achieved a kind of Masculine Thanksgiving card - yay!

I'll match it with this week's color challenge at Create With Connie & Mary #378. I think these colors will be perfect with TGIF #26's Thankful challenge!
Browsing my thankful stamps, I always come back to Lighthearted Leaves - I so love this set! Today was a good day for coloring, too. I almost added some orange from the TGIF graphic, lol, but I caught myself in time, whew! I played a little bit with layering and the Curvy Corner Trio punch - I wasn't sure it would come out how I hoped, but it worked out perfectly! I'm not sure why, but when I've layered rounded corners in the past, I sometimes had proportion issues - but not this time! To finish off, I added some tiny rhinestones for sparkle - but I still wish we did candy dots in our In Colors!

Acorny CASE

OK, I'll just put this out there: this week's Retro Sketch #186 reminds me of one of those perky little hats, with the glam fascinators perched on 'em - cuteness! Let's try it out with this week's Can You Case It #91, too!
So greens and browns sent me over to Acorny Thank You, and I have to say, I am SO happy that it did! I'm really pleased with how it came out, and I played with a few things that aren't in my usual lineup, like the Burlap Trim. (Sh, I cut this scrap off the piece for my Season to Season Wreath - I don't even normally HAVE this stuff, lol.) I also had to go all Escher with the dimensionals on this one, trying to get all the little layer pieces to work together, and with only a tiny bit of re-ordering, but still - yay, me! I'm not sure I can put this one in the sale box yet, it's gonna need to stay on my desk for a while...

MMR Oktoberfest Fall Market Oct 24!

I'm really liking the cheery sketch at this week's TGIF #24!
Ahh, the weather is finally breaking here in AZ - it was only 92 degrees today! Heaven! Pool's closed now, sigh, except for the crazy dogs, lol. The cooler weather always makes me think of Fall Back East - the leaves, the fireplaces, the pumpkins! Can't have those out in my neighborhood either - javelinas LOVE them, lol. But I can have the pretty leaves with my yummy Sheltering Tree stamp set, and all the fun accessories to go with them, too! Somewhere, my little scene is actually happening, I feel sure!

I'm excited to match up this week's Create With Connie & Mary #373 with In{k}spire Me #216!
So, you KNOW those colors were all-Autumnal-all-the-time for me, right? So fun. For this one, I decided to break out the very versatile Happy Scenes stamp set. I learned that I could fill up the space of the framelit I chose by stamping twice, while lining up that little horizon line - perfect! I'm looking for a chance to do this all the way across a card now, lol... I had fun adding some details in the correct color (I SO missed a touch of green for this one, sob) and I love how all these elements came together! I think even my accent leaf looks like the ones from my "happy scene!"
