We have some great '70's Retro colors to play with at Retro Rubber #184, and I'll be adding some flowers for SU Only #303, too!
I started today's combo by pulling likely colors first - I landed on Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. With those in hand I went shopping on the retired shelves for my retired set. I finally landed on 2020's Varied Vases as a great for mixing and matching all these colors! It was fun to match stems to vases while keeping the colors mixed!

Guy Cards 2022 June 11, 2 pm!
OK, it's time for all things manly, in our Guy Cards 2022 class! Sometimes it's a little challenging to create for our dudes in the manner they deserve, but we'll be on it in this class! Class will feature 5 cards and envelopes, all from the Spring Mini Catalog, for all guy occasions, lol. Class includes all supplies needed (bring your own fave snips and adhesive) plus snacks and drinks, and a special gift from me, all for $25! In Color Contour

I love our front-and-center sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #558! It'll be great with our fun new In Colors at Hand Stamped Sentiments #390, too!
So, it's safe to say that I am SMITTEN with our new In Colors, lol. I just love them - so vibrant and playful! Combined with the new DSP pattern stacks (yay for dots!) and the awesome spread of embellishments and twines, and I am one happy stamper! I of COURSE had to play all five colors today - so thrilled that my week to pick colors fell so close to this release!! I couldn't resist that pretty blossom in the Color & Contour set - don't they just POP against that Starry Sky background?? Swoon!!

Wildlife Thanks

We have a very cool theme from Cardz 4 Guyz #296 this week - "wildlife!"
Luckily, we have JUST the set for that - Wildlife Wonder! I did a cute bear card before with this one - time to try another animal - how about that regal wolf? I did him in Basic Gray on Smoky Slate, then did a little bit of Blender Pen action on him to smudge him up a bit - love what it does to the shading on these stamps! I did some greenery below him, too, and some weedy flowers at his elbow - still manly, I think! I decided to go for a thank you, and slipped in some retired Slate ribbon I still had, too - still handsome, all 'round!

So glad to see this week's code word at Addicted to CAS #220 - "flower!"
I know I've been off flowers for the last couple of years, but this year's annual catty is slowly drawing me back, lol. This one, Sending Smiles, is what started it all! For whatever reason, these multi-step stamping blooms have stolen my heart! And I love the dies that go with them - I could build some really fancy displays with them, or keep it to a simple stem, like I did today. I'm all about choices, obviously, lol.

We have a really pretty combo this week at In{k}spire Me #476 - check out that CAS sketch!
After a little bit of study, I think I can work both sides of the challenge into our new Cup of Tea set - you know I have to have that! I colored up a Mango cup with some Granny Apple leaves, and did some details in Melon Mambo to round things out! Next card, I get to show off the amazing dies and DSP that go with it!

Nature's Prints

OK, these are really growing on me, lol - Addicted to CAS #218 is having a one layer challenge!
I don't think I'll get a better chance to break in another gorgeous new set, either, lol. Here's a little sneak peek at Nature's Prints, a beautiful collection of stems and details with truly lovely sentiments. I think I've mentioned before how much I adore when the sentiments have a mix of fonts - so much impact! Anyway, here's a lovely Maidenhair Fern stem that I stamped in our departing Misty Moonlight - I have so loved this color! I went over the image with a touch of Blender Pen, too, adds even more depth, I think. I finished with this simple thanks sentiment and my last blue Noble Peacock Rhinestones - yum!

Wow! LOVE that pretty inspiration pic for this week's Fusion "Spring Tulips" challenge!
You know I had to head straight to our gorgeous Flowering Tulips set, right? I even managed some of the Flowering Fields DSP to go with! This ended up being fairly low-key - apparently I'm having a green day, lol. Anyway, I stuck pretty tight to the sketch, too, but I tucked some lovely stems behind my sentiment circle - and finished with a few Evergreen Jewels. Ahhh, Spring has Sprung!

So pretty - Cupcake Inspirations #540 has some dreamy colors for us this week!
One look at that photo sent me straight to my Simply Succulents set - perfect for these scrumptious cakes - and colors! I used my Mint Macaron, So Saffron & Petal Pink Blends Markers to color up this large spray of juicies, and set them all on a So Saffron pot, I love the shape of this sentiment die, too, and I finished off with a few soft sequins from a past Paper Pumpkin - I think they're either Saffron or Vanilla, lol. It's all just so soft and pretty!

I'm so excited by our scrappy sketch at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #549! It's going to be fun to match it with our "groovy" '60's colors at Retro Rubber #179 AND our critter challenge at SU Only #298!
Ugh, this was tough. I was all set with a current critter set when I caught myself - not for Retro! What other critter might go well with rainbow-y colors? Then I spotted 2018's Bird Banter, and I knew I was ok, lol. I think other toucans would be smitten with my psychedelic guy here, especially on his technicolor scrappy background, lol. He looks calm enough!

Oo, very cool combo at this week's Fusion "bookshelf" challenge!
So I know I'm really focused on retired sets this week, lol, but I just CAN'T resist pulling out 2017's Everyday Hero for this one! I was looking for a good horizontal band image I could use for the sketch, and I spotted this cute row of buildings - so fun! This ended up being a coloring extravaganza - just what I needed today! I did a simple Subtle embossed background, and set everything off comic-style in black - so fun! A few Silver Epoxy Diamonds bring on the "pow!" lol. I think this makes a pretty over-the-top thank you!
