![]() Such a pretty sketch they have at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #665! When I started thinking about if I had a good green suite, the Market Goodness suite popped into my head - I thought I remembered a nice Garden Green sheet at least, and then I could use veggies instead of shamrocks for my "cascade!" Perfect! The main stary I did was to put my sentiment ON my Nested rectangle, but I'm calling that good, lol. I wound on some Linen Thread for the vertical stripes, and finished with a few Transparent Dots. It was fun "shopping for veggies to add! Market Goodness Stamp Set; To Market DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Crumb Cake CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Market Goodness & Nested Essentials Dies; Linen Thread; Transparent Dots; #TSOT665. ![]() Sympathy & Scripture Card Class March 15! ![]() Happy Birthday, TOC! For their 11th b-day, Time Out Challenges #283 has this awesome CASE suggestion! I'm on it! When I looked at the inspiration card, I couldn't stop thinking about our old Happiness Abounds suite - that DSP is such a great match for Donna's beautiful stenciling! I pulled out all the parts and got to work! I started by embossing a White panel with our Layered Florals 3D EF - it was the closest I could think of to Donna's. Next up, I cut a pretty wedge of this sheet of tiny blossoms - and I stayed in the purples range of this one - my envelope flap shows more of the range, lol. Next I chose a nicely elongated sentiment, and cut it with our Nested Essentials hexagon - love this shape so much! I finished with a larger blossom and leaves fussy cut from the DSP, and a few Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems. I think I did a pretty good CASE, while keeping it a little different, too - so fun! I meant to do a birthday card - but this sentiment was the better shape, lol. Happiness Abounds Stamp Set (retired 2023); Hues of Happiness DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Layered Florals 3D EF; Nested Essentials Dies; Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems; #TOC283. ![]() Sympathy & Scripture Card Class March 15! I quickly settled on our Seaside Wishes stamp set for my stamping - I have beach on the brain as we get closer to our trip to Maui! I started with the smaller sand dollar, and knew I wanted to do some masking so I could beef up the depth a little. After I stamped it on the card front, I stamped again on a post-it note and closely fussy cut it for my mask. Next came the larger dollar, followed by the sentiment, some sandy texture and a couple tiny starfish. I love these elements! At the last second, I added a Stitched With Whimsy border - I'm so sad these fun dies are retired, though I guess it makes no never-mind, since I keep using them anyway, lol... One layer cards are SO growing on me! Seaside Wishes Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso & Calypso Coral Inks; Stitched With Whimsy Dies (retired); #SOS542. ![]() Sympathy & Scripture Card Class March 15! These colors totally remind me of the vibrant Friends of the Ocean pack, so I went hunting there first for some DSP - these Calypso stripes are just right! I still had this dotty scrap of first-run Lemon Lime Twist DSP in the vault, too, so I threw that on there as well, lol. I wanted to do something different than sea creatures, though, so I pulled my trusty Terrific Toadstools set and got to work! I did one in each color, fussy cutting the parts I couldn't punch - I think this little trio is so super cute - like a neon version of little dancing Fantasia ones, lol. So happy with these colors! Terrific Toadstools Stamp Set; Friends of the Ocean DSP; Basic White & Summer Splash CS; Summer Splash, Calypso Coral & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Terrific Toadstool Builder Punch; Radiating Stitches Dies; Summer Splash Resin Dots; #HSS457. ![]() Oo, check out this "ray of light" sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #664! So, today's card is what happens when hubby runs in and says, "Hi sweetie! Can you make me a REALLY quick golf thank you for that guy that took me golfing last week??" and the sketch on deck is TSOT, lol. What's a stamper to do? Of course, the only answer is, "yes, dear, give me a few minutes," lol. I quick dug out my old Country Club DSP, and the accompanying Clubhouse stamp set from 2020, and threw this together. SHOCKING paper contrasts, lol, but that's what you get in 10 minutes or less, lol. I did a nice poppy circle to highlight my golf-on-tee, and snagged a thank you from the trusty Simply Said set. Perfect! And fast! Clubhouse (retired 2020) & Simply Said Stamp Sets; Country Club DSP (retired); Basic White, Night of Navy & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Back & Night of Navy Inks; Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Golf Club & Stylish Shapes Dies (both retired?); Smoky Slate Pearls; #TSOT664. ![]() Hm, we have an unusual knit photo inspiration to play with at this round of Time Out Challenges #282 - wild! Since I just had out my Let It Snow DSP yesterday, I knew I had a red sheet with white flurries on it - did I have something for the black and white sheet? I went digging, and digging, and was just about to give up when I remembered that the BACKS of all the Zoo Crew sheets had a black and white pattern - yes! I picked this starry one as closest, and set up a layout the followed the inspo pic. What to do over it? Eventually I spotted my old Witty-cisms stamp set from 2020 - I finally decided the strawberry pun could work just fine! I stamped it up and colored it, couldn't avoid a touch of green for the crown, and pulled out my new Textured Notes dies - perfect! Love the edge detail! This worked out better than I thought it would, lol. Witty-cisms Stamp Set (retired 2020); Let It Snow & Zoo Crew DSP (both retired); Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Textured Notes Dies; Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon; Peaceful Poppies Sequins (retired); #TOC282. ![]() Pumpkin Club February 22! Check out this glorious tiled sketch at Sketch Saturday #768! What a great layout this is - I finally realized this one is PERFECT for using up all the little 1" strips I always accumulate in my DSP packs - brilliant! I didn't do as much layering as they did in the sketch - I have cold meds brain right now, lol - but I'm still super happy with the finished look! I trotted out some bold pieces of the Flowering Zinnia DSP, and fussy cut one of the fancy ones from another sheet - so fun! I also snuck on a few of our new Tiny Bee Trinkets - adorable! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set; Flowering Zinnias DSP; Basic White & Petal Pink CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Tiny Bee Trinkets; #SS768. ![]() Such a fun planetary sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #662! I knew I really wanted to use my new wonky Around It All Dies for this one - such crazy circles! I also went straight to our Toadstool Garden DSP - one of our fabulous choices in Sale-a-Bration right now! I managed three tiny toadstool scenes, lol, and added a little sentiment from the Terrific Toadstools set to go with! A few SAB Purple Sequins were just right for finishing things off! I love how this came out! Terrific Toadstools Stamp Set; Toadstool Garden DSP; Basic White CS; Melon Mambo Ink; Around It All Dies; Purple Sequins; #TSOT662. ![]() Hm, AAA #282 has a new challenge style - it's called "follow my lead," and it's a sort of CASE challenge! I have to try it! I decided to pull my Thoughtful Wishes bundle for this one - the dies have all kinds of botanical stems and flowers in them, with just the right delicate touch, too! I quickly ran through a few likelies, as well as a couple hearts to layer from my Radiating Stitched Dies. I made a quick cluster out of the stems, then pop dotted my layered hearts over the ends. This left plenty of room for a tiny "thanks" sentiment, too - I didn't want to leave that bare! Quick and fun, it turned out! I might have to do more of these! Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Thoughtful Wishes & Radiating Stitches Dies; #AAA282. ![]() Pumpkin Club January 25! And of course, the challenge is to use glitter, in any form! So, I initially thought I really wanted to use loose glitter - I so love the stuff, and I don't get to pull it out much these days, lol. BUT, this is for SOS! What kind of STASH glitter might I have? I went through my 12 x 12 folders and found this old pack of Rainbow Glimmer paper - well, maybe a few packs, actually. I love this stuff, but I found it challenging to use, because I want to show off ALL the colors, lol. Enter Everyday Arches (AND the envelope, lol.) I could do a cool background arch, float another one on top, and catch the rest on the envelope flap! Yes! AND, I finally actually used an arched sentiment - nifty! Everyday Arches Stamp Set; Rainbow Glimmer & Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Everyday Arches & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots; #SOS539. ![]() Pumpkin Club January 25!
