![]() Weeeee! Time for another tic-tac-toe at Retro Rubber #253! I love when we suggest a sentiment - that really gives me a starting place to search through my shelves of retirement, lol. So that meant I went with our left-hand column of Green - Ribbon - Thank You! No flowers or embossing for me today, lol! I started by choosing my stamp set, and hit on 2023's Conversation Bubbles - I still SO love the dies for this fun set! The thank you in here is the cutest, and I can do all kinds of additional bubbles with the dies! Once that was settled, off to find some "green" - how about this wild sheet from the Full of Life DSP pack? I love the look of watercolor washes, so this splashy sheet was just what I wanted! I heat-embossed my "thank you" in White onto Granny Apple Green, then filled in some extras with a bunch of other likely greens. This scrap of old Lemon Lime Twist ribbon seemed just the thing! I can't wait to see YOUR take on our little noughts game this round - don't forget to make it Retro! Conversation Bubbles Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2023); Full of Life DSP; Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock, Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive & Granny Apple Green CS; Versmark Ink; White EP; Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon (retired); Lemon Lime Twist Transparent Dots; #RRCB253. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! ![]() So fun - we want to see "things with wings" this round at Make My Monday #250! I couldn't resist checking out my retired shelves for this one - and I can't remember HOW long it's been since I stamped with Dragonfly Dreams! These guys are so pretty, and I still love that I can stamp their wing colors separately, too. I chose this pretty sheet from the Thoughtful Journey DSP pack, so I made the dragonfly wings with stamped-off Berry Burst to go with - yum! I combined with our Spring Corners set for my sentiment, too - so cool to wrap the corners with the sentiment! I can't wait to see YOUR wings this round - meet you at the challenge! Dragonfly Dreams (retired 2019) & Spring Corners Stamp Sets; Thoughtful Journey DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Berry Burst & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Detailed Dragonfly Dies; Purple Sequins (retired); #MMM250. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! I have to "pick 2!" Well, I ended up picking 3, lol. "Arch" was easy enough with our Everyday Arches bundle standing by, and my favorite stencils happen to be floral, so that makes 3! I think I could even say I have 4 with "pastel," but I wasn't intending that one, I just wanted to try these pinks together! I stamped my Layers of Beauty floral image onto White, in Black, and then went to town with the stenciling. My flowers are two layers of Pretty in Pink, with a final layer in Strawberry Slush. My two layers of Lemon Lime Twist make up the leaves. Came out so pretty altogether! I cut with my Everyday Arches dies, adding a layer in Pretty in Pink, and finished with some Pretty in Pink Party Dots. Such a light and fresh final look! Layers of Beauty Stamp Set & Stencils; Basic White & Pretty in Pink CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Blending Brushes; Everyday Arches Dies; Pretty in Pink Party Dots; #TOC286. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! As soon as I saw this one, I immediately thought of our Ocean Friends suite - that DSP has the same vibrant colors - I love the lobsters and crabs so glamorous! I started by going through the pack and finding this ocean-y sheet that had both pink and orange on it for my background - subtle and cool! Then I added some Melon Mambo coral and Pumpkin Pie fronds - just right! Next, I picked an orange lobster and a pink crab from my little sleeve of pre-cut critter - I ran a sheet through my scan-n-cut and have a slew of them now, lol. The stacked thanks went in the upper corner for my sentiment, and I finished with 3 Sunny Day Dots. Love it all! Ocean Friends Stamp Set; Friends of the Ocean DSP; Basic White, Melon Mambo & Pumpkin Pie CS; Melon Mambo Ink; Ocean Friends Dies; Pumpkin Pie Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #CIC615. ![]() Oh, fun - Shopping Our Stash #544 would like to see a fun fold this round! I decided to pull in another upcoming bundle for this one - but I have plenty of stash items to bring it all together! This is Sentimental Framing, and it has GORGEOUS dies to go with the lovely sentiments. As you can see from my funky picture, many of the sentiments work in pairs to add an INSIDE finish, as well! I love that! I brought in Countryside Inn DSP to set the colors and embellishments - I still have SO MUCH of this DSP, lol. I did a quick tie of Night of Navy Linen Thread, as well as some Night of Navy Enamel Dot Essentials, to button everything up. So fun! Sentimental Framing Stamp Set; Countryside Inn DSP; Basic White & Balmy Blue CS; Night of Navy Ink; Sentimental Framing Dies; Night of Navy Linen Thread; Night of Navy Enamel Dot Essentials; #SOS544. ![]() New Catty Preview Class April 12 at 2 pm! I really wanted to play with my Timeless Plaid DSP pack, and I pulled colors from the sheet I ended up choosing - aren't these blues and greens together pretty? With the colors set, I chose my gorgeous Wild Ferns stamp set to create my horizontals - so fun to use the fronds that way! I also embossed my background with my Ferns EF to carry the theme along, lol. So matchy-matchy! Some Boho Blue Solid Gems finish things off! I think I'll go for the right column: Ribbon/Twine - Basket - Free (diecuts!) I went digging through my diecut sheets in the Storybook Friends suite and found just the thing! Isn't this little chipmunk with her gardening basket the cutest? I found enough of my favorite sheet of DSP from the pack to set up the background, then fussy cut this frame from the sheet of extra backgrounds. I added lots of gardening bits to go with my girl here, and tied on this soft Scalloped Ribbon for my last square. So fun to go through all the sweet Spring pieces! Storybook Friends Stamp Set; Storybook Moments DSP; Basic White & Old Olive CS; Early Espresso Ink; Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon; ! 3/8" Circle Punch; #TTT266. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 29! When I started thinking about if I had a good green suite, the Market Goodness suite popped into my head - I thought I remembered a nice Garden Green sheet at least, and then I could use veggies instead of shamrocks for my "cascade!" Perfect! The main stary I did was to put my sentiment ON my Nested rectangle, but I'm calling that good, lol. I wound on some Linen Thread for the vertical stripes, and finished with a few Transparent Dots. It was fun "shopping for veggies to add! When I looked at the inspiration card, I couldn't stop thinking about our old Happiness Abounds suite - that DSP is such a great match for Donna's beautiful stenciling! I pulled out all the parts and got to work! I started by embossing a White panel with our Layered Florals 3D EF - it was the closest I could think of to Donna's. Next up, I cut a pretty wedge of this sheet of tiny blossoms - and I stayed in the purples range of this one - my envelope flap shows more of the range, lol. Next I chose a nicely elongated sentiment, and cut it with our Nested Essentials hexagon - love this shape so much! I finished with a larger blossom and leaves fussy cut from the DSP, and a few Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems. I think I did a pretty good CASE, while keeping it a little different, too - so fun! I meant to do a birthday card - but this sentiment was the better shape, lol. Happiness Abounds Stamp Set (retired 2023); Hues of Happiness DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Layered Florals 3D EF; Nested Essentials Dies; Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems; #TOC283. ![]() Sympathy & Scripture Card Class March 15! I quickly settled on our Seaside Wishes stamp set for my stamping - I have beach on the brain as we get closer to our trip to Maui! I started with the smaller sand dollar, and knew I wanted to do some masking so I could beef up the depth a little. After I stamped it on the card front, I stamped again on a post-it note and closely fussy cut it for my mask. Next came the larger dollar, followed by the sentiment, some sandy texture and a couple tiny starfish. I love these elements! At the last second, I added a Stitched With Whimsy border - I'm so sad these fun dies are retired, though I guess it makes no never-mind, since I keep using them anyway, lol... One layer cards are SO growing on me!
