Mmm, lovely snuggly colors we have this round at As You See It #309! I hope they make this sympathy card feel like a warm hug - I kept the design simple and sincere. The stamp and punch is from our new pre-release, called Heartfelt Hexagon. We get to take a sneak peek for tomorrow's World Card Making Day! I wanted to play with the set a tiny bit ahead of time, and this is where I landed. This gorgeous Copper Clay sheet is from the O Holy Night pack - I love the pattern sides almost as much as the scenery sides! I added some simple Misty Moonlight cotton ribbon, and a few first run Misty dots - I couldn't believe my eyes when I found these in a drawer, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these toasty colors! Meet you at the challenge! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Copper Clay CS; Copper Clay, Misty Moonlight & Crumb Cake Inks; Heartfelt Hexagon Punch; Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon; Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots; #AYSI309. We're feeling fresh this week at Sunday Stamps #313 with our pretty colors! It was pretty hard to not go in a floral direction with these, especially with those daisies in the inspiration pic! I couldn't help but pull out one of my favorite flower sets still, Color & Contour! I love the layering scallop edge dies, and that there's also a few dies for the flowers, too! This stem is so easy and organic, and the two-step flower colors are super unfussy! I always add a bit of green to the leaves with markers, and this time I added some green spatter in the background. Of course, I immediately covered most of it up with my stems, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR takes on these fresh-as-a-daisy colors - meet you at the challenge! Color & Contour Stamp Set; Daffodil Delight DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon & Granny Apple Green Inks; Granny Apple Green Blends Marker; Scalloped Contours & Timeless Arrangements Dies; Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots; #SSC313. Critters Class 2023
We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! Time for a critter round-up! We'll be making 6 cards with envelopes, and NO fur, lol. Class includes all supplies (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks, drinks and a special gift from me all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, July 15, at 2 pm! RSVP now to save your spot! Oo, I'm getting that new In Color feeling from our challenge this round at Sunday Stamps #311! I decided to play with simple stamps, ink and paper today, and even went for Very Vanilla for my neutral! I hit on the idea of putting together some beautiful stems from our Meadow Dies, and then just adding a "wow" sentiment - when I remembered this sympathy in our Something Fancy bundle, I knew I was set, lol. Very little layering here, except for the stem overlap, and all the calm and sober colors for the occasion. Love it, and happy to have on hand for the moment. I can't wait to see what YOU do with our rich colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Pebbled Path, Boho Blue & Moody Mauve CS; Pebbled Path & Boho Blue Inks; Something Fancy & Meadow Dies; Pebbled Path Glossy Dots; #SSC311. Woo! We're back with a fun new tic-tac-toe this round at Retro Rubber #201! I decided to try for the left-hand column - and I have just the set for the large sentiment! I actually don't get too many of those, and when I do they're usually dies, but I do still have my Sorry For Everything set from 2020 - such a versatile set! As you can see, this one is for a sad occasion for a dear friend. We'll miss you so much, Cooper, you little stinker. You were such a good girl! I kept it super simple, and stamped everything in Blackberry Bliss over this pretty sheet from our old Fine Art Floral DSP pack. I punched this little heart trio with our retired Heart to Heart punch - I still love the variety of hearts! I can't wait to see what YOU play on this board - meet you there! Sorry For Everything Stamp Set (retired 2020); Fine Art Floral DSP (retired); Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Heart to Heart Punch (retired); Pale Papaya Opal Rounds; #RRCB201. What a great way to kick off the year! Make My Monday #191 would like us to show off something new! I have just the thing, too, lol! I was looking for an excuse to ink up my pretty Something Fancy set, which you can also get bundled a gorgeous array of dies! At last, new and perfect sentiment tag shapes, with plenty of options for dressing up or down! I kept things simple for a quick sympathy card, which I think looks calm and elegant with this sheet from the Sun Prints DSP pack. I still had some Faux Suede Trim in Early Espresso, so I did my ink and other details in that, and finished with some Brushed Metallic Dots. I know I'll be using these new dies a lot! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Sun Prints DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Faux Suede Trim; Brushed Metallic Dots; #MMM191. Birthday Cards Class 2023!
Let's start the year off by restocking our birthday card stash, shall we? We'll be making 6 delightful birthday cards with envelopes, all from the new Spring Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogs! Class will provide all materials needed (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!), snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, January 14, at 2 pm! RSVP today to save your spot! Oo, this will be fun - Cardz 4 Guyz #311 wants to see something starting with "O!" I had a couple ideas when I started (oo, how about "oars," lol) but I wanted to do a browse first. When I spotted the gorgeous Olive Branch, I knew that was the one! I have so NOT been using this set enough! For today's card, I went with the larger branch - I've only used the small one so far. I inked up with markers, and had to do a lot of "huffing" to make sure it was still juicy, lol. My green came out fainter then I expected, but I still like it! A simple sympathy to add to my stash... Olive Branch Stamp Set; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Old Olive & Blackberry Bliss Stamp-n-Write Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Old Olive Matte Dots; #C4G311. I've missed a few challenges here lately, but not this round! Addicted to CAS #232 has a "sympathy" code word - good prompt! I knew right away I wanted to bring in our gorgeous Splendid Thoughts set for this one, but I wanted to try something different for the sentiment. I do occasionally get scripture stamps from other companies (Shhhhh!) and I have a new one to share today! This perfect quote from Matthew 5:4 is from Stamp Simply's Blessings/Beatitudes 1 set - such a powerful collection. It makes for a lovely sympathy card, I think. Splendid Thoughts & Stamp Simply's Blessings/Beatitudes 1 Stamp Sets; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Smoky Slate, Soft Sea Foam & Pool Party Inks; Stitched So Sweetly Dies (retired); Fine Sparkle Gems; #ATCAS232. Oo, we have such a lovely banner sketch for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #389! I knew right away I wanted to break out my new patterned DSP - I have been waiting so long for our new stacks, and I love every single pattern! I couldn't resist sneaking in a new In Color, too, so today's combo is a mix of Parakeet Party, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody - love it! This also gave me a chance to try out my new Sending Smiles set - I've been a little anti-flower for the past few catties, but this one has several that are calling to me for whatever reason. Such cute stems today! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our fun sketch - meet you there! Sending Smiles Stamp Set; Calypso Coral DSP; Basic White & Parakeet Party CS; Calypso Coral, Mango Melody & Parakeet Party Inks; Sending Dies; Mango Resin Dots; #HSS389. We're taking things on a slant this week at As You See It #266! Come join the fun! Today I wanted to try out our fancy new dies that go with the amazing Daffodil Daydream bundle - so pretty! Once again I'm trying to tame them a bit before going all out, lol, and our pretty sketch seemed like the perfect chance to show off a layered flower over some of the SAB paper that also coordinates with the set. I added in this sympathy sentiment from Inspired Thoughts as well, for a family on our street that has lost a beloved grandmother. She loved flowers! I hope this little note can let them know we're thinking of them... I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our sketch - meet you at the challenge! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set; Daffodil Afternoon DSP; Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Bumblebee, Old Olive & Soft Sea Foam CS; Early Espresso Ink; Genial Gems; #AYSI266. Sadly, it's perfect because our neighbors had to let their sweet baby go last weekend, after a long, glorious and joyous life - we'll all miss her!
