 Fellow parishioners already know - we have some pretty big news at St Barnabas this summer - our beloved Rev. Erika has two little ones on the way - EEEEE! As soon as I heard about the plans for a baby(-ies!) shower, I jumped in and begged to do the party favors - I don't get to do enough of those now that we're out of elementary school and in grouchy middle-school, gr.
So today was R&D for that - what do you think? I had thought I would just do a take on the cute Easter favors I did recently, but then I remembered some cute onesie cards I did a while ago for someone's thank you's. I thought, can I miniaturize that? Turns out I can! Pretty sure I'll be doing the onesie one, half green and half purple, for variety. Let cuteness abound!  I had a little quest this month looking for candy that had an orange wrapper that looked like it might go with Tangerine Tango - Jer's Squares wins! These cute summer dresses rounded out our girlie Mother's Day classes - time to put some jeans on, whew! I made these just like the ones I made here, where you can find some quick instructions. Stampin' Up! is excited to introduce our second Submit a Project kit--the Dolled-Up Birthday Kit--voted on by you via our Facebook page. This gorgeous birthday card was created by Chris Gilmore, a manager from Coshocton, Ohio. Congratulations, Chris! The Dolled-Up Birthday kit includes the following:
*Adhesive not included  Something I really enjoy doing is offering a card class for auction at my church's annual mission fund-raiser, Hearts & Hands. This year's win was by a single person, who brought a group of 8 new crafters - whew! She requested Birthday and Get Well cards, so I designed the cards for the class accordingly, with an eye to keeping things fun and simple, but varied. I also made one treat to match one of the birthday cards, and then supplied the makings for the second treat to go with one of the Get Well cards, though I guess it could also go with the other birthday card, now that I think about it... It was a fun time - great fellowship, creativity and LOTS of love - yay! And of course, yummy snacks - I love using my creme brule torch! For those interested, here is the instruction sheet for this class.

Thanks so much for being in class tonight - whole new meaning to pins and needles, right?? Here are tonight's Hearts A Flutter Valentines Class instructions, as well - enjoy!  Class sure was a blast tonight - and we didn't even glue all our fingers together or anything! Yay! Here's a quick shot of the stockings I made for all the ladies - each one personalized with their initial, and holding a little Ghiardeli square. It can double as an extra ornament after all the work we did on the first four!

These favors were commissioned by a friend of mine for their parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary - wowee! I'm in awe! I made 32 of these in a mix of fall colors, using papers provided by them to coordinate with the table decor at a snazzy family banquet planned for the celebration - so nice to be part of it! The saying is a Polish one (as is the family) - meant to convey good wishes, good luck and long life, perfect for a 50th Anniversary! There's a traditional song for it that you can hear here, as I understand it, you can't make the toast without someone breaking into the song! Congratulations! (And Sto Lat!) Oh my GOSH, my little chocolate treats for the ladies tonight were SO FUN to make - I've been beside myself waiting to trot these out to show! I had an AWESOME time there last year - even though they put my table right in front of the kitchen counter so that I had to smell those gorgeous cinnamon rolls and delicious soups all weekend! Argh!
