And of course I still have the DSP, lol, so I set up this pretty snowy scene for them to play in, complete with a hill for sliding, and a few tiny snowflakes! I kept the background and penguin details in Fresh Freesia - close enough to the pink in the snowflake, I think! So fun!  OK, this one is pretty fabulous! So many ways to go with Time Out Challenge #274's inspiration quote! After some thought, I decided to try a little bit of chalkboard action, but I also couldn't resist combining my older coffee sets with our yummy A Little Latte DSP, lol. I set up this fun coffee background, then created two coffee cups from our old Coffee Cafe and Merry Cafe sets - they work perfectly together! A pretty swirly cup with the "coffee helps" sleeve says it perfectly, along with the smaller woodgrain cup and a "you and coffee" phrase, lol. I think they look great together! I even finished with a few Swirl Dots! As I was checking over my current critter section, I spied my remainder of the By Your Side kit - SUCH cute kitties and dogs in this kit! It was a generous kit, and I still have a few cats, plus one Bassett Hound, left, lol. I decided to use my last "tangled" kitty - isn't he the cutest? While I did use the included stamp set on the envelope, I pulled out my Simply Said set for my birthday sentiment - I can't believe how much I use this set! I gave him some Gold Cording Trim to wiggle around on, and also used the last of the kit's heart embellies, too. Since I was doing tone-on-tone layers, I also decided to distress my top layer - such a quick detail! What beautiful cookies at this month's If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #194! Aloha! This sent me straight to my old Timeless Tropical bundle from 2022 - I even still have some Tropical Oasis DSP! I decided to try my hand at a bold Hibiscus, to set off this sweet layered aloha included in the dies - I'm pretty happy with how it came out! I started with Lemon Lolly layered over the stamen, then added some bolder accents of Dark Melon Mambo to the petals, I then went over it all with a layer of Petal pink to soften up the darker accents, then continued to blend both shades of Mambo til I felt done. I did lighten a few edges with more Petal Pink to finish. I floated my "cookie" over a background of smaller hibiscus and plumeria - I can smell the islands now!
