 It was my turn to pick this round at Make My Monday #237, and I want you to bring on the spooky Halloween fun! I have another little stamp set from Kindred Stamps that caught my eye - did you know that there's a Voodoo Day?? Apparently it's September 12, lol, and in the spirit of celebrating wacky holidays, they created a stamp set for it! It just cried out to come out for Halloween, lol. I kept it ultra simple - Basic Beige over Basic White, but I did have fun fussy cutting my doll to add a little dimension - yay! Now, who can I send this to??? Lol! Festive Friday #170 has a Halloween inspo list for us this round! I hopped over to the vault and pulled my pack of Ghostly Greetings DSP to start - oo, how about this cool sheet chock-full of bats?? I layered it over Pumpkin Pie, and just like that I have three things from the list already! I decided to go with 2016' Mr. Funny Bones for my stamp set - sometimes I'm just in the mood to piece together a whole skeleton to heat emboss, lol. I tried to keep him pretty centered as I worked, stamping and dusting each bone as I went along, because I couldn't really see where I was, lol. Look, he's waving hello! I've always loved this "humerus" sentiment, so I popped that up over him front and center (4 items now!) and added a couple of these Crow Enamel Shapes for my fifth items - shaped embellishments! I combined it with 2019's Spooktacular Bash, for a chummy portrait block of monsters, lol. They're giving each other the hairy eyeball! It was fun to add a touch of color to each image - who knew there are Soft Sea Foam vampires?? Anyway, I also did the ornate back-frame for my sentiment - a bit of a clean-up job, but SUCH a pretty result! Later, Ghoulfriend! I knew I wanted to use my Potions & Spells set for this one - I don't get the new Halloween set every year, so I have to make it count when I do! With all these crazy colors, I knew I needed to keep it simple! How about that book stack? I could fit lots of colors on there! So that's just what I did, and I water-painted it instead of markers for a more translucent look - gotta be able to read those book titles, lol. I also added my crow on top too - he's so handsome! I put my favorite sentiment right on top, and finished with a few Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - find your shades! I thought for sure I would do an airplane, or maybe a motorcycle, lol, but then I realized - I haven't stamped yet with my new Potions & Spells bundle (available as an Online Exclusive!) and it has a big 'ole witches' cauldron in it! THAT'S something metallic, right?? I got to work right away! First I pulled this pretty and dotty sheet from our super-old Frightful Sight DSP - I think maybe 2012? - that I rescued from someone else's clean-out, lol. I actually don't get the Halloween papers too often, so an opportunity to replenish my own stash at the right (free!) price was too good to pass up, lol. From there, I stamped this cool cauldron onto Smoky Slate, and juiced up the details a little with a Smoky Slate Blend Marker. A few bubbles and a nosy crow finished things off! So fun! I decided to pull out our old Jar of Haunts set that retired in 2016 - this jar full of floating eyeballs is hands down the spookiest stamp I have, lol. Ewww! This was such a fun add-on set for our beloved Jar of Love bundle, lol, I just couldn't resist! I kept it pretty ultra-CAS - black and white details, with just some touches of color for the eyeballs, lol. I did add a little black and silver baker's twine I found in a drawer, and finished with some Matte Black Dots. So spooky! Lol, I was able to re-arrange some things so I could get in on this round of Festive Friday #145 - which is all for Halloween! Looking over the inspo list, I was really attracted to the "witch" ingredient, so I pulled my Spooky Fun set that retired in 2016 - I think this might be the only witch I have, lol. It also has a moon - score! I started going through my Halloween stash of things, and ended up sort of throwing lots of elements on there - I think this card came together a little wonky as a result, lol, but I'm a warts-and-all kind of stamper - you even get to see my weird ones! I started with a black base that embossed with my old Spiderweb EF, and ran some Delicata Silver over it. I thought this sparkly black ribbon might do as well. After building my witch scene, I remembered I still had some spider trinkets, so I doctored one of those to add on, too. This turned out to be a real Halloween mish-mash, lol. I matched it up with Spooky Sweets from 2018 - we can never have too many bats! I did a simple layout that let me show off TWO sheets of DSP, and finished with a few Iridescent Pearls - love these, too, lol. Spooky!
