Here's a fun little layout from Mojo Monday #382! How to make this tall and skinny?? Let's add this bright color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge #126, too! This card involved LOTS of playing with the sketch elements for me today. I had a hard time settling on my focal image, but on the bright side, I have several pre-stamped pieces from various flower sets ready to go now, lol. In the end, I'm still too fascinated by the cheery balloons in Celebrate Today! Who wouldn't want to arrive home to garlands and flags in your favorite colors? Nobody I know! Celebrate Today Stamp Set; Best Year Ever DSP; Pool Party, Real Red & Whisper White CS; Real Red, Pool Party & Versamark Inks; Pool Party Embossing Powder; Circles Collection & Balloon Framelits; Lucky Stars Embossing Folder; Brights Candy Dots in Real Red.

Hm, looks like this is going to be another week that I get to marry up some challenges! My first one will be the union of In{k}Spire Me #138 and Fab Friday #37! This one seemed like a good match, with a color for every sketch element, lol... So, it's a good thing Fab Friday reminded me to take license with the sketch - 'cause I took out a whole division! I decided that their sketch showed me two pairs divided by a longer element, because of course I had to try to NOT use my beloved Word Bubbles! Since I needed a good and manly grad card, I headed in this direction... Mortar Boards for everyone! Pure Gumption Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar & Island Indigo CS & Inks; Alphabet Press Embossing Folder. And don't forget - there's still time to RSVP for our March 20 Topiary Class! 6:30 pm, $25, all supplies ready and waiting for you - just bring your hot glue gun! Come have fun, curling spiral flowers with your favorite friends - we'll have a great time, I promise - with snacks and drinks! Also, if you'd prefer a day class, please do let me know - I have had a few nibbles on that, so sing out so you can get your preferred day! Can you believe that I had a Christmas stamp I hadn't used yet, but, after decorating our tree today, I'm a bit burnt on Christmas? What's a stamper to do about that?! Well, I made a graduation card instead, lol... I totally loved the color combo suggested at this week's Nacho Average Challenge #66 - it reminds me of that old In Color set we had when I first came to Stampin' Up! Let's see, ummmmm, Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou, and of course, our resurrected Soft Sky!! I hoarded my Soft Sky all this time, too, lol... Good times... Christmas Star, Simply Stars & Pure Gumption stamp sets; Pool Party & Whisper White CS; Island Indigo, Calypso Coral & Soft Sky inks; Large & Small Star Punches (retired, for some unknown reason, sigh), Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Available December 1-January 27 or while supplies last.
We love Valentine's Day! And why wouldn't we? It's a chance for us to say "I love you." And it doesn't just have to be about romantic love. This holiday is a time to share the love with anyone and everyone. We're here to help you prepare with the A Whole Lot of Love products. There's stamp sets (of course!), treat kits, card sets and HUG MONSTERS! What's not to love? Click here for the deals, and here for a look at the goodies! The fine print: These are exclusive products that will not be available after the promotion - get them while you can! Boy, the timing on this one was great - I just got an order in, that had the intriguing Sent With Love bundle in it. The top sheet of the DSP pack is COVERED with little arrows, badges, seals and tags, and I thought, oo, you could cut all these little pieces out, and really do something with them! Then I took a good look at this week's Freshly Made Sketch #75, and an idea was born! I kinda feel like this is a cheater card - I had to go back and add the little airplane so there would be some kind of stamped element on it! Too cool! Think I'll put this one in the "graduation" box... Sent With Love stamp set; Calypso Coral & Whisper White CS; Sent With Love DSP; Calypso Coral baker's twine; Real Red ink; self-adhesive rhinestone. And here they go again! Stampin' Up! is proud to announce another new venture - online classes! This first class shares innovative ideas to get the most out of your supplies (from stamps to the Big Shot) with clever tips and all the techniques you need to start creating with success. Divided into six sections focused on a variety of topics, this class includes videos, step outs, and supply lists for 30+ projects. "The Basics" class download (item 133385, $14.95), is now available in my online store here. The following topics are covered in the class: Basic Stamping, Embossing, Masking, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Watercoloring & Markers, and Big Shot & Punch Basics. Need a little boost? Give the new online classes a try! I have really struggled with having graduation stamp sets (and cards!) when I need them - seems like whenever I get around to buying one, it retires! This year, I didn't wait, and I finally snapped up this one last month... Clean & Simple #220 was the PERFECT layout for it, too! I may go back and make a couple versions! So anyway, this card is for my friend Sky, who's long-anticipated graduate commencement is this weekend - yay! As soon as I heard she was "walking," (her son and his girlfriend are flying in especially!) I knew I had to use this sentiment! Congrats, Sky! Now we can get back to partying on the weekends, right?? Pure Gumption stamp set; Whisper White & Pool Party CS; Silver Glimmer paper; Print Poetry DSP stack; Large Star (retired) & Scallop Trim Border punches; Basic Black & Midnight Muse inks. Here's another graduation card using the Happy Grad stamp set that I borrowed from my upline, Julie! I wanted to use some of the patterns I have shied away from in my leftover Greenhouse Gala pack - this came out nice and bright! Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie CS; Greenhouse Gala DSP (retired); 1" Chocolate Chip satin ribbon; Happy Grad (retired) stamp set. So, now I'm embarking on my quest to fill in some card "categories" for the big craft show coming up - you guessed it, the first category is "Grad!" I started by making several cards in each of my school district's HS colors - there are 5 really, but I think I'll just show these three - you can get the idea, I think. Yoyo Yello (retired), Real Red, Basic Gray, Bravo Burgundy, Brilliant Blue (retired) and Whisper White CS; Large and Small Star punches, both retired; Go, Graduate stamp set. |
