So cool - an "anything goes" challenge at AAA Cards #273 is not to be missed - I think I'll sneak in the optional twist of sympathy or get well, too! I decided I wanted to do Get Well rather than Sympathy, so I concentrated on fining a sentiment for that first. I FINALLY remembered this good one in last year's Inspired Thoughts! However, the Inspiring Canopy dies that go with it might have been not very CAS, lol, so I looked around for what could go with it. I finally realized I have a bunch of these pretty bouquets cut from our To Market DSP, which is totally what I would send to someone for a Get Well! It came together fast after that - simple layers, simple sentiment, a single bouquet, and three little Garden Green Dots accents, as usual, lol. Love it! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set (retired 2023); To Market DSP; Basic White & Garden Green CS; Garden Green Ink; Garden Green Transparent Dots; #AAA273. Christmas Cards Part 2 September 14! Oh, this is a good one! The Male Room #179 want to see a "get well soon" card! I did a quick check for get well sentiments in my current sets, and to my delight, there's one in Warmest Heart! I am still smitten with these cute thermoses, and I decided to branch out into more of the cool dies that come with them this time, too - my featured thermos is ALL dies - check out that carry loop! So cute, lol. Anyway, I started with a Pretty Peacock base, and did up a trio of manly thermoses, complete with screw off sipping cup, in fun coordinating colors. I added my get well tag above it all, and at the last second stuck on some tiny white Resin Hearts. Picture these all filled with chicken noodle soup! Warmest Heart Stamp Set; Pretty Peacock DSP; Basic White, Pretty Peacock, Galvanized Metal, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Smoky Slate & Granny Apple Green Inks; Blender Pen; Daffodil Delight & Pool Party Blends Markers; Warmest Hearts Dies; White Resin Hearts (retired); #TMR179. Eee! Love the theme at this round's AAA Cards #244 - dogs and puppies! One of my all-time favorite dog sets is our awesome Hot Dog that retired in 2021 - so many fun accessories and sentiments! Anyway, I kept it all super clean and simple for AAA, but worked in some pops of color - for some reason I'm all about Tahitian Tide these days, lol. Anyway, this poor little guy has to wear his cone, but is still wagging his tail - isn't that just like a good dog?? Hot Dog Stamp Set (retired 2021); Basic White & Tahitian Tide CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Tahitian Tide & Basic Black Blends Markers; Tahitian Tide Matte Decorative Dots; #AAA244. This cute set has a big beautiful harvest basket, with a variety of contents to add - and all so colorable, lol. I chose the apples (having an apple week, it seems, lol) and get well sentiment again, I must have a subliminal craving going! these choices paired well with our still-available SAB paper, Rings of Love. I haven't used this plaid sheet much yet! Just happy with this cheerful card! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for this sketch - come and play along! Cheerful Basket Stamp Set; Rings of Love DSP; Basic White, Mint Macaron & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Poppy Parade & Mint Macaron Blends Markers; Full Basket Dies; Timber EF; Rustic Metallic Dots; #SSC290. So excited to play again at NBUS #41 this month - I have a little pile of new goodies that need a prompt! I couldn't resist inking up my brand new Apple Harvest bundle today. I was totally gonna let this one get away from me, but then our Perfect Partners special hit - and there were dies! That was enough to tip the balance for me, lol, especially when I realized I could get a regular bundle price - win win! There are several awesome apple images in this set - today I played with this sweet branch, and added a few extra blossoms, too. The get well sentiment is a natural fit with apples, right? Apple Harvest Stamp Set; Sweet Sorbet DSP; Basic White & Sweet Sorbet CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Sweet Sorbet, So Saffron, Petal Pink, Crumb Cake & Old Olive Blends Markers; Apple Blossoms Dies; Elegant Faceted Gems; #NBUS41. Such a cool theme at this week's Cardz 4 Guyz #301 - "recycle something!" It took me a little while to realize I had just the thing! A month or so ago, I won a gift bundle from Lawn Fawn - (Shhh! Stamps AND dies!) The cute bundle I picked arrived promptly - and it was tied up with this pretty green and blue twine! Say, that looks pretty darn close to our new Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party, I remember thinking. Anyway, I thriftily wound it up and tossed it into the catch-all embellie box that lives on my desk. So glad I remembered it! And what fun playing with my newly acquired Tech Support set - this cuteness does SO compute! Tech Support Stamp Set; Basic White & Tahitian Tide CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Tahitian Tide & Parakeet Party Blends Markers; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Unknown Lawn Fawn Twine; Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots; #C4G301. Annual Catty Roundup Class, Aug 13 at 2 PM I couldn't resist this catch-all class to "round up" some stamp sets that don't quite fit in our other classes, lol. There will be a little bit of everything, with at least 5 all-occasion cards with envelopes today! I think some Sale-A-Bration could sneak in, too, lol! Class includes all supplies needed for your projects (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) plus snacks and drinks, and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is announced for Saturday, August 13 at 2 pm - RSVP now to save your spot! Excellent timing - Less is More #466 is running a "masculine" theme this week! I still have a stack of preorder items to play with out on my desk, so I did a pass through them for any likely "masculine" themes, lol. I settled on Ringed With Nature, which has so many accessories! There's dies, a hybrid embossing folder, and a DSP pack, Ringed With Love, in Sale-A-Bration. Since this is for LIM, I stuck with stamps and dies, lol. I did a little bit of corner detail backed by the tree rings stamp, and did a little paper-pieced branchlet with an acorn. Fun! At the last second, I added a few Brushed Metallic Dots to finish things off. So maybe not as "Less" as I could have been, lol! Ringed With Nature Stamp Set; Crumb Cake, Basic White, Soft Suede & Old Olive CS; Soft Suede Ink; Tree Rings Dies; Brushed Metallic Dots; #LIM466. Oh gosh, now I'm getting hungry! I hope you like our soft and sweet colors this week at Sunday Stamps #281! I tried hard to steer away from the food sets for this one, lol. I finally settled on the lovely Nature's Harvest set, which also coordinates with this beautiful Heart & Home DSP (I love ALL the woodgrain sides!) and has the stunning Harvest dies as well. I don't think I can ever have too many of these perfectly detailed stems! They look sweet and supportive in our Sunday colors, along with this elegant "healing thoughts" sentiment. So soothing... I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our sweet colors - meet you there! Nature's Harvest Stamp Set; Heart & Home DSP; Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron, Blushing Bride & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Harvest Dies; Silver Epoxy Essentials; #SSC281. New Horizons Suite Focus Class April 23! Today's class is a showcase of the stunning New Horizons suite - beautiful images, papers and perfect sentiments to go with - I can't wait for you to see it! Class will include all supplies needed for 5 cards and envelopes, (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks and drinks, plus a special gift from me, all for $25! We even have a bonus project! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, April 23 at 3 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! Aw, what a great theme at this week's CAS on Friday #222 - "feel better!" I love this sentiment in our Inspired Thoughts bundle, perfect for a get well, but the amazing tree dies are not very in keeping with the CAS theme, sigh. However, I could add a simple little tree from Beauty of Friendship that's just right! Yay! I kept it super clean and simple, but I had to add a couple Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish - they just flew right on, lol. This ended up being a super quick card, too, handy! Inspired Thoughts & Beauty of Friendship Stamp Sets; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso & Pear Pizzazz Inks; Brushed Brass Butterflies; #CASOF222. Lovely - a fun Fall "recipe" from this week's As You See It #257 - let's cook! I knew right away I'd go for the lovely die-cut wheat stems in our new Harvest dies - love these! So then it was just a question of how to arrange the rest of the "ingredients!" Our Pansy Petals DSP has several colors of gingham check paper, so I went with this gorgeous Soft Succulent sheet, which looks perfect over the Crumb Cake background! I used our now-retired Pinewood Planks for my embossing folder, snuck in a little twine behind this sweet sentiment from the accompanying Nature's Harvest, and finished with some Brushed Metallic Dots. So far, I have loved every card I've made with this bundle - so versatile! Nature's Harvest Stamp Set; Pansy Petals DSP; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Bumblebee CS; Early Espresso Ink; Pinewood Planks EF (retired); Harvest Dies; Linen Thread; Brushed Metallic Dots; #AYSI257. |
